What a visually spectacular place! The colors from the maples trees! Wow! Just wow! When combined with the water and the rest of the visuals it's absolutely stunning!
That's justt the mid-hudson valley in general. Bear mountain near West Point is jaw dropping in autumn and puts Poughkeepsie to shame. Unfortunately a prejudice mayor authorized the construction of the 3-lane arterial that starts on that suspension bridge built in the video as a way to divert business away from the inner city and keep it poor along with those who live there. Which is why there are so many closed off Main street. There's a very ugly aspect to it once you learn a bit more about the place.
I've lived in Wappingers Falls all my life which is right along side the Hudson river next to Poughkeepsie. My favorite part is the seasonal shift, getting to see all 4 seasons and also the architecture is timeless as well.
