"The Keeper Of The Seven Keys" live from that same tour, is another EPIC performance by these guys. Going to see them live here in NYC in May. Can't wait.
You are right about 80s vibe. This is an old-school power metal track. Both singers used to be lead vocalists for Helloween, but in different years. The bald one is Michael Kiske and the other one is Andi Deris. The first lead vocalist was also in this live music video, but he was only playing a guitar in this song - the red flying V-type guitar, whose name is Kai Hansen. Michael Kiske and Andi Deris, these two singers represent two very different approaches to power metal vocals. Michael Kiske - clean, high-pitched with a lot of vibrato (but it is very consistent in his case); Andi Deris - gritty and quite dramatic in many cases (Hansi Kursch from Blind Guardian shares some of this). I liked Kiske´s collaborations with Avantasia or Amanda Somerville very much. The band Blackbriar would be a good idea for Halloween with their song themes for the next year, maybe.
I remember it was called speed metal initially cause it was the fastest bpm metal at the time. But now of course it's power metal. Is Limp Bizkit still called Nu Metal? They recently released a new album. I guess their genre also has a different name these days.
Fantastic reaction to this great band with many great songs. Some info. Kai Hansen, red guitar founder and singer at the first album Walls of Jericho. Left 1988. Michael Weikath, blue guitar founder Markus Großkopf, bass founder Michael Kiske, bald head, second singer, 1987-1993 Andi Deris, third singer since 1994 Sacha Gerstner, white guitar since 2002 Dani Löble, drums since 2005 The original drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg died tragically 1995. United in 2017 for the wonderful Pumpkins United Tour.
🤘🇫🇮 Nightwish army Finland 🐻 Great to have background info that the reactors have no time to dig up 'cause they are doing these for us all. That Ingo's death (just googled why) and timelines of players was new to me!
Walls of Jericho was the their first full lenght album but the year before they released a Mini LP called Helloween, and in 1984 they had 2 songs on the sampler album Death Metal together with Running Wild, Dark Avenger and Hellhammer.
Man, I hope the band keeps this "vocalist alum" unification going forward. Kai's return not only brings all vocalists together, but even an added lead guitar, like Iron Maiden has now.
Kiske (the bald singer) is one of my favourite rock singers ever. His range is ludicrous and his voice is still great after all these years. I have not really gotten into Deris' voice though sadly but they are still great to see live. I'd definitely recommend checking out their older stuff when Kai Hansen and Kiske still were in the band.
What a great reaction!! The godfathers of Power Metal.. Brilliant band. So glad you loved this. Please check out more. I hear a lot of Helloween in Lovebites especially the dual solos.
I'd say the most Helloween-esque is the solo section in "We the United". To me, "How Many Tears" (one of my favourite three Helloween-songs) and "We the United" are somehow sisters/brothers in spirit. Music-wise, the former sounds a bit rawer, but then again, the lyrics are also somewhat darker, yet the main message "unite, it's not too late" is similar to the positive message of "We the United".
Classic 80s power metal pioneers. True legends in Metal music. They've been around for almost forty years, and STILL kill it live, better than most bands out there today. I was never a huge fan of power metal, but Helloween with Michael Kiske was just next level stuff.
Definitely the best song from their second full-length album and you obviously enjoyed it! Fun Fact: The solo part starting at 13:41 in this clip is an excerpt from the Hungarian Dance no. 5 by Johannes Brahms (though sped up and obviously alienated).
The first heavy metal band I discovered in 1986 aged 12/13 Kai Hanson (red guitar) was the foiirst singer but stopped doing that to concentrate on guitar - look for the Walls of Jericho album, its fast! Michael Kiske (bald man) joined then just 18, and gave them the proper power metal sound with an agelic voice, like Dickenson as you mentioned - check The Keeper of the Seven Keys pts 1 & 2 Arguments and lineup changes ensued, very bitter split, Kai left, Michael left, Ingo (drummer) died, Andy joined as singer, and new music 1994-2016 Then...some chance meetings at festivals, some talks and beers, and we now have Pumkins Reinited - all of them on stage, all in the limelight, and new music too Am 47 now, musically I like punk, thrash, Slipknot (please react to some!), but will always love Helloween.
This band are pioners in german power metal together with Running Wild. But for me the "real" Helloween are with original member Kai Hansen, Ingo Scwitchtenberg (rip), Michael Weikath and Markus Grosskopf. Please Tauri react to the Helloween song Guardians and make sure you pick the original with Kai Hansen doing the vocals cause a remake has been made with Kiske singing, and that version doesnt have the pure raw energy. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
The two Keeper albums are considered to be the birth of the power metal. If you want to hear all 3 singers I recommend "How Many Tears" from their Pumpkin United tour. ua-cam.com/video/XJwuqL0IJqw/v-deo.html
Pausing a guitar solo AND going back is perfectly ok, the more guitar solo the better. Just pausing is the no-no. #letsgoback P.s. They have a new album, the single is Skyfall. Hit no.1 in Germany.
Oh man. You must listen to keeper of the 7 keys the song. Live or studio. You will love it. Also why can't I find a girl like you who loves this music :( haha take care ThankS for the reaction
You should check out Reach Out For The Light by Avantasia. Featuring Michael Kiske(the bald guy), singing alongside the metal god that is Tobias Sammet.
Nope. Kai is the original singer, Kiske is the second one and Andi the third. Andi is not the "new singer" tho. He's been in the band for almost 30 years lol.

Try At Vance. Lead singer is called Oliver Hartmann and they covered ABBA.
Fantastic reaction to this great band with many great songs. Some info.

The drummer is Swiss German.
«Ride the Sky» from the earliest stuff. Kai is da man!
Man, I hope the band keeps this "vocalist alum" unification going forward.
Kai's return not only brings all vocalists together, but even an added lead guitar, like Iron Maiden has now.
One of my favourite songs, great reaction 🙂🤘🏻
Edit: it is Power Metal from Germany 😉

I have not really gotten into Deris' voice though sadly but they are still great to see live.
I'd definitely recommend checking out their older stuff when Kai Hansen and Kiske still were in the band.
Deris and Kiske are like comparing apples and oranges vocals wise.
What a great reaction!! The godfathers of Power Metal.. Brilliant band. So glad you loved this. Please check out more. I hear a lot of Helloween in Lovebites especially the dual solos.

It's their departed bass palyer's favorite band.

I love watching your reactions. Every time you're intro comes on it I feel like powering up like an anime character. 😂
When one sees a Helloween or Gamma Ray song = instant like! 🍻😁👍
Cheers from Bulgaria!
Power Metal at it's finest!
Thrilled that you enjoyed it so much. Oh to think how you’d respond to so much of the wonderful metal from the late 80s and early 90s…
Hair metal wishes they were this good. This is PowerMetal.
The first heavy metal band I discovered in 1986 aged 12/13

Great Reaction !!! Please more Helloween!!! :)
Helloween has a song called Halloween - there's an Abbott & Costello routine in there somewhere, just waiting to happen.
This band are pioners in german power metal together with Running Wild.

Guardians is a CLASSIC! One of my favorites (the original version, of course).

Yesss Rock On!! 🤘🏻
This song is from the 80s. The band are German. The singer though has a range similar to Bruce Dickinson.
At 11:35 those drums are so foreboding.
Pausing a guitar solo AND going back is perfectly ok, the more guitar solo the better. Just pausing is the no-no.
#letsgoback
P.s. They have a new album, the single is Skyfall. Hit no.1 in Germany.
Power Metal!! 💪🏽
🔥🤘HELLOWEEN Godfathers of Power Metal 🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 Cheers ✌
I would like to ask you what reactions please the video of the band Vision Divine, the theme Angel of Revenge thanks

Oh man. You must listen to keeper of the 7 keys the song. Live or studio. You will love it. Also why can't I find a girl like you who loves this music :( haha take care ThankS for the reaction
for dark hell and terror this song gives good vibes :D
The 80's the best music
Hey "Belle", looks like the Beast got a little rough in his romance, there, lol.
You must check how great Andi Deris (long hair vocalist) at the song The king for a 1000 years live 3 continents sao paulo 2006-2007
You should check out Reach Out For The Light by Avantasia. Featuring Michael Kiske(the bald guy), singing alongside the metal god that is Tobias Sammet.
Lavdate Dominvm by helloween is a song about the lord in latin
Kai Hansen was the the starter of Helloween you might heard of Gammaray? if not check it out if you want Cheers!!!
The bald guy is the original singer, the guy with hair is the new singer
Nope. Kai is the original singer, Kiske is the second one and Andi the third. Andi is not the "new singer" tho. He's been in the band for almost 30 years lol.
Grandfathers of Power Metal
Oh this takes me back to 1988 when it comes out oh what an time 17 yeo and no worries
Bruce Dickinson and Michael Kiske in one album of Tribuzy
Halloween was written in 1987. Probably thats the reason for the 80's vibes ;-)
(4:39-4:41) Yeah, maybe in Bruce Dickinson's fuckin dreams.
Try whatever song from Helloween with Michael Kiske (nowdays the bald guy) on vocals, or Kai Hansen singing for a speed metal vibe
Please, do more Helloween!
Современным группам как из жопы до луны по уровню мастерства и харизмы
Have you heard a band Burning Witches before? If not check them out!!
this should be the theme of michael myers
I guess Helloween from Germany was the first "power metal band"
If you like Helloween? check out Keeper of the seven keys it all started in the 80`s Michael Kiske was the only singer back then
Good old days, goose skin, 👌😊
Could you please react to eagle fly free?. Thank you.
I suggest a double reaction by also including Lovebites' cover version of this song: ua-cam.com/video/To21HILZvYE/v-deo.html
@@MissLoonasSpeech I think we'll be getting that... 😉
Yah. . Double reaction
Check out Starlight or Murderer by Helloween
💛🤘💛
Kiske doesn't sound like Dickinson. Totally different style and range. Kiske can imitate Geoff Tate though.
