Two of my favorite words in boxing are 'shift' and 'pivot'. They're also two of my favorite fundamentals I love to use in boxing... Great stuff Coach... Anyone who watches these tutorials will instantly get better... absolutely no shadow of a doubt about that. These are by far and away the best boxing tutorials anywhere on the planet.
Exactly 100.000 subs. This is fantastic news and this video is so good I'm already practicing at home wishing for my next sparring. Best Coach+Athlete in UA-cam
Thank you so much for all the work you put into these video ... much much appreciated BTW, since you are very dedicated into teaching the proper body mechanics, I wanted to ask you : do you have any mobility workout advice (from the ankle to the shoulders through the hips for example), except If you plan on relasing a video on that in the future, because I'm perfecting my stance according to your advices, but that gets me some hips pain (especially when pivoting my back foot for whatever rear hand shot..) Thank you again, wishin you all the success with this channel (CONGRATS ON THE 100K Subs maestro !) Greetings from France !
it seems to make perfect sense in the bonus example, while hes moving to the inside - eliminating oppertunitery to adjust and throw a L cross. In the original example there is a slight "quarter step" to get your body (spine) headline over first; because the left hip becomes the "open" hip off the parry, that step can be easily emphasize...so when you "shift" (hop step) you end less slanted to the inside. If the parry doesn't directly create the time you need, if the inside movement doesn't eliminate the angle, that quarter step can; and the pivot is still relevant
