This man could fight. The way he mixed it with guys he had no right to based on his size. Proper tearups, with Evander normally coming out on top. Great charisma, has a way of communicating with feeling that pulls in your attention. Holyfeild was excellent vehicle for a moral boxing drama bigger than the sport. A low key boxer with many admirable character traits taking out the malevolent force of Tyson was the pinnacle event of that era - apart from the shock of buster Douglas - and he did it twice. It was like good versus evil colliding to make the stakes even higher.
Yes, same for Frank Bruno, I heard some interviews where his speech seemed altered but everytime I hear him now he sounds perfectly fine. I think you can recover from brain damage, not totaly but a bit. Look at Mickael watson, he suffers of course a major brain damage but at the beginning he could not speak at all.

I don't think he 'broke it down' at all. He barely acknowledged it. I remember when boxing was the biggest thing happening and it's so sad that it's not now. Especially, when there are so many really talented fighters like Usyk and Fury who are as good, if not better than anyone I've seen in the past, and I've been glued to the sport since the 1950s. I think boxing is far more entertaining than MMAs any day!
