It's a respectable brand to start a first system with.
Can't fault it much. It did do it's numbers. One concern is definitely the efficiency. Or the lack of it. Great vid as always home boy
I have always been curious about this brand and I have always thought they were just another spl company that built cookie cutter amps until I seen an SQ BUILD they made at a car show that looked amazing..so after taking a second look they also make dsp and a SQ line...
Reminds me of the old Cadence A7HC.
My first sub was a cadence back in 2002. I loved it! Glad to see they don’t overdo the orange color anymore.

I haven't used it. I bought off eBay 3 of the XAM4002 amps and a XAM600.1. Plan was to buy an entire Cadence system as I was doing a bid grade/ budget build. I was wanting a second XAM 600.1 but was unable to find one. I have 3 sets of Cadence component speakers as well and was going to use my JL 10W6 subs since I already had them. Anyone interested in doing an amp dyne with my amps? I haven't installed them, only taken them out to look at.
The only hit on this amplifier is the efficiency. Might not work on low powered cars.

Super inefficient is the only down side I can see with it. It’s a nice looking amp and did its RMS and price isn’t to bad for what it is. Of course you can get more power for the money but really not that bad.

I got a cadence special edition 15.. 800watts rms.. takes 1200 dailly... very good sq I love it.. I would compare it to a American bass xfl or elite
I'm glad I bought the ignite 6000/1 as my budget amp. Seems more powerful and more efficient. Has some of the best numbers for it's price. Check it out. It's only 130 on amazon

I always thought cadence was just cheapo stuff but It was just n assumption but after CES videos and other youtube on there stuff I think there stuff is prob pretty decent, they seem to try n put good products on the market. I think prob one the most under appreciated under noticed brands is Savard I wouldn't mind some of the Products. The HI-Q looks awesome even the "rap" line but man change that name! That "RAP" name sounds Soo cheesy n lame. But they seem to be the most conscientious brand out there.
Them wild beast hit different I got two 12s I wouldn't use that amp I put my 4k hifonics Brutus amp not even 1000 watts I'm shaking everything
Hi fi ,see if u can find a 98-99 sound stream Rubicon 1002. I have one ,have had since day one new., but no one has a Dyno of it.
Definitely need to get some more light in the Vega test lab.

If it's got 3, 35 amp fuses, and it draws 135 amps at 1 ohm, wouldn't it blow all the fuses?
Fuses are rated at an amperage plus time So if I continued to run it at that level for a certain amount of time the fuses should blow
HifiVega I'm new to your channel but I watch you on 12v talk all the time question for you. Is this amp strapable I have 4 12s at 500 watts rms 2 of these amps would go perfect with my system.

Looks like a option as a entry level amp. Those efficiency numbers are a bit disappointing but, power seems to be good.

It could be, but I don’t test enough to be able to recognize it right off the bat.
Had two of these on my many 15s. It worked. But this was back I early 2000s so it is what it is.

Like I’ve seen on every amp you’ve tested,you keep cranking after the distortion light comes on. This one was clearly before 1000 watts if you set playback to .25. Just saying you should attempt to be more accurate while editing.
I test all amps uncertified (up to clipping) the amm-1 will stop counting watts at clipping it doesn’t matter how much more you turn up the volume

You run those test up to clipping, would like to see you turn it down just a little to get clipping light just off. I dunno what you think broski?

HifiVega can you back it down a little So it’s just under clipping? Just seems like the better more useful number. Just bc damore engineering does it that way why should u? I’m sure it would just be 1 or 2 watts less anyways.
