I agree with Mos on the PE issue. I have osteoarthritis in my left hand and sometimes struggle with my kit-building. I simply can't manage PE and wish manufacturers would provide alternative parts for PE.
I was hoping that the Meteor was going to be a WWII version, I have always wanted to do one in dark earth and dark green, much more colorful than all aluminium.
Not another king tiger, let’s have something new. As for the £145 for a Meteor someone’s having a laugh it better be high detailed. The Landrover looks nice tempting
*Thanks for this kits review, Airfix push the limits at such a high level to produce plastic kits! That"s very interesting to watch the technics they use to scan real vehicles, planes, etc.*
I'd been looking forward to the 1/32 platinum Meteor. Having the platinum versions of the London Bus & Bussing & trailer in my stash, I wanted to see what they could do with a jet!
It is 2024 and I EXPECT photoetch multimedia in a model kit. I also expect some resin or 3D printed detail parts and perhaps metal rods and screws. I'm not trying to change your opinion. Just reminding you advanced modelers don't like spending twice the kit price on aftermarket adds that don't fit. Put it all in one box designed from the same CAD files.
I got back into modelling again after nearly 40 years, about 3 years ago. Photo etch wasn’t a thing when I used to build models. I built a Trumpeter German half track with an AA gun on the back. The shield on the gun is all photo etch, and the instructions have useless pictures, showing how to construct it. They should always have plastic parts, with photo etch as an option.
You missed one mos , airfix just announced a new release ! Can’t believe of all people u missed this one ! lol , just finished your book , enjoyed it had a giggle , couldn’t put it down and even might have learned abit about scale modeling
Disappointed that Revell have abandoned the long wing, round tail Meteor. I realize the F8 is the more popular version having seen most of the combat, but I think she lost her charm when they clipped the wings and squared the tail

Thanks for the update Mos, I'm loving the Landrover, a much overlooked vehicle.

Good stuff, Mos. I could be tempted by the 1/32 Meatbox.

Z-43 LETSGOO AND ITS A FAKING SHORT RUN AGAIN WOOO
I agree with your statement about PE. Give me a choice. I love the tractors. My dad would let me drive his around when I was a kid.

Excellent news on the BAC 1-11 series 500 ( the Airfix one was the shorter series 200)

That Geko Land Rover 😍
Great to get a new bac. 111 the aifiix model was based on the prototype, so this would have the correct nose.

That Zlon trainer looks intresting...wonder how it will compare to the Hobbyboss kits?@MOS6510Models
I'm excited about the Meteor and Jaguar(as long as it's 1/48)

@@MOS6510Models you didn't see the sunrise highlighted Jaguar, Airfix was teasing last week

i think they have to cut their cloth accordingly
Wouldn't mind giving that 1/350 Scale USS Gerald Ford a try, but my kryptonite is photo-etch!

@@MOS6510Models Agreed. No doubt Eduard will be all over it in no time anyway.
