Merci mon ami! Très agréable d'avoir de tes nouvelles! Cela fait tellement longtemps que le CNSMDP est passé et je suis heureux de voir tes vidéos de concerts.
This piece rocks, and you rock on it, and so whatever the price of "trying a little too hard" - it must be worth it, because it's a beautiful performance. I love Mertz' penchant for drama and beautiful melody lines, and you really bring it all out here. I've been immersed in his entire Opus 1 for the last few months with my instructor, which is probably more accessible at my intermediate level than the Elegie - but it's something to aim for one day. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing this.
This is one of my favourite pieces to play. It is really a simple piece in a lot of ways, but there are so many “yearning” elements built into the piece - almost every downbeat is an appoggiature for example. The Op. 1 is full of great music. Enjoy!
Thank you. Beautifull
Thanks Matteo!
So much momentum! Masterful as always. Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks for the comment, Sam. Glad you liked it
Bravo Randall ! C'est très beau et très puissant émotionnellement. C'est un plaisir de te réentendre jouer !

The dynamic range reminds of Beethoven, a great approach!
Thanks!
