  • We had it all sailing home, Crazy Rain and Big Waves. From the tranquil waters of Cedar River to the bustling marina in Menominee, our 10-day sailing adventure through Green Bay was filled with unforgettable memories, including a spectacular fireworks display in Little Sturgeon Bay.
While sorting through this footage, I couldn't help but think of a fellow sailor, who tragically capsized on the bay with his two young children. This devastating event has deeply impacted our tight-knit sailing community.
Safety should always be a top priority on the water. Before setting sail, you must check the weather forecast daily and ensure your boat, equipment, and crew are in top condition. Don't forget to wear your life jacket in bad weather, be vigilant for potential navigational hazards, and constantly look at the sky for unexpected weather brewing.
Communicating with other sailors is essential for a safe and enjoyable experience. Check-in regularly with your boat buddies, and stay close by to offer assistance if needed. Remember, sailing is a shared adventure, and looking out for each other is just as important as enjoying the journey.
