It’s the worst pain I’ve ever had
The most painful experience of my life was a scratched cornea. I leaned down on a corner piece of cardboard and I felt it scratch my eye. It didn't hurt until 8 hours later when I rinsed my eye out with water. (I thought a piece of dirt was in my eye). After the water was my eye felt like it had a knife cut on it.
I woke up Saturday in horrible pain.and my eye was sealed shut. I.went to the ER and they put some kind of drops in it and I felt like I was in heaven. The pain stopped....but they said only for a couple of hours. The eye can't heal if you keeping putting the drops in.
I went to the ER again on Sunday because the pain wouldn't stop even if I closed my eye. Eventually the pain subsided after using ointment for a couple days.
I've broken bones, had a bruised rib, etc....but nothing compares to this eye injury. There's nothing you can do to stop the pain....you just got to wait it out.
I scratched my cornea 3 times
First time : it was at the swimming pool those rubber swimming "helpers" i don't know their name hit me in the eye HARD
Second time : i was joking with a friend then he kinda slipped and put his finger directly into my eye
Third time : i was playing soccer and i shot the ball in to a wall and it came back to me fast

Going through this for 2 days now. Doc used the die today, said I scratched a circle section off. Been using eye drops every 15mins and trying to keep it closed but its so hard. Painful to blink! To add, Ive slept in my contacts for over 10yrs. Never again!

Inside with the curtains drawn on a beautiful sunny day. Bright light is excruciating. The torture level from just a scratch is indescribable. I’m two days in and I’m home bound. Hoping tomorrow brings some relief.

I was told to put drops in my eye for 4 days 4 times a day I went to the doctor this morning my eye has healed yet I'm so upset. I am a contact lenses wearer.
I don't understand, are you not allowed to wear contacts ever in your life? I've heard and read that you can wear them after your eyes has completely healed.
Cutting my bangs this morning and scraped my eye with the scissors. Doctor gave me antibiotic eye drops but couldn’t give me drops for the pain because I have an allergy to one of the ingredients. The pain is absolutely horrible.

this happened to me, and the best thing to to is hold a paper towel rinsed with hot water against your eye, this made my eye feel better in 1 day, though my vision was still blurry, once you have slept, wait a while, and dont be afraid to open your scratched eye.
The patch makes bacteria grow which causes infection
i havent slept because it hurts so bad when i close my eye, even with half a sleeping pill. i also have to look a certain way to blink and its really awkward and hurts my neck. im also half blind in my left eye so if i put an eyepatch on i wont be able to see.

Scratched my cornea today for probably the 5th time in 12 years. I’m going to try to tough it out since I don’t think there’s any foreign body in there. This time around I got whacked with a tree branch. The last few times it was metal chips from the machine shop I work in 🤦♂️

I have a light hard to notice small scratch on the white part of my eye kinda close to the cornea (if that's what the colored part is) It does not hurt and I got it by a hair was on my eye and I pulled it off and I guess it slit my eye like a tiny bit or something like that. you couldent even call it a slit though. but I am paronoied and am thinking of all the bad stuff that could happen like, I could go blind, or need eye surgery, or have to be held down while they put eye droppes in my eye forcefully. my god I'm scared.
Golden Maknae it's ok I did it too and a little bit of blood came but it will heal in 2 week and doesent need doctor or anything but if it's bleeding all over your eye I think u should clean it up and ask an doctor

I must of scratched my eye with an eyelash and rubed it too much because I can still feel the scratch in there right now in the left corner of my left eye
