  • Partha Banerjee has been inducted into RSS through his father at a very young age. However, in his early youth the ideological conflict between the RSS ideology and the liberal Bengali philosophy had started to bother him. Finally he raised a number of fundamental questions to the RSS leadership - as the answers remained unsatisfactory, he decided to quit the two decade long association and subsequently started to explore the other side of the political spectrum. Nevertheless, his long quest for a sensible political ideology remained highly unsatisfied until much later in his life when he travelled to the US and met Noam Chomsky, with whom he established a long association (Partha interviewed Noam five times and regularly communicates with him via emails). Partha, a PhD in biological science from US, ended up quitting science and spent much of his later life doing various activism in the US, most prominently organizing and educating the labors in and around New York City.
In this podcast he discusses his amazingly unique political journey with Pratyay, Srinjoy and Soumik. The episode spans over two sessions recorded in two separate days.

Amader ke orthodox hindutva ki, shob religion kei oppose kora uchit kintu jokhn ai opposition ta shob side er jonno hoyna tokhn even as a darwinian atheist amake bolte hoy, the least you can do is follow your own rules. Secularism should be applied completely which means complete separation of church and state. India te jeta 76 bochorer shadhinawtaye hoye uthte parlo na. Shobai confirmation bias er shikar.

I was with RSS for almost two decades. We have *never* played cricket or football at any shakha -- during shakha time. Never.

@@psroutine7132 It's hypocritical, because now Amit Shah's son is the BCCI secretary and Asia Cricket's president. RSS' nationalist fiasco is hypocritical. It's okay if you support RSS and its hypocrisy and nationwide politics of hate and violence. I won't.

The statement of Mr. Partha Banerjee against RSS is false, frivolous, motivated and has no foundation to stand. His father late Jitendranath Banerjee was a dedicated Pracharak of RSS. His motive is to give publicity of his books in India by maligning the image of the organisation where his father was a dedicated man.
