Nice playing, I have a new Kronos 2 coming. They have done a great job on the new
model.
Whats your opinion of the Kronos 2 are Korg not due to have a new replacement soon as the Kronos seems to be out a few years now.Does it have a Metal or Plastic body.
Kronos is in my opinion one of the greatest keyboards EVER.. I've had my Kronos X 73 for 5 years now and it still surprises me.... That with a Roland V-Synth GT, JP 8000 and a Roli Rise 49 is the best set up .. I'mm my humble opinion.. :-) Great vid.. :-)
I have a Kronos X and a Kronos 2. It would be nice if keyboard demonstrator's would add titles or a camera shot of which combi/program voice they were selecting. Other than that a nice demo.
Fantastic machine, its more versatile than any other keyboard.....but Yamaha, Roland, Kurzweil and Nord are great too.
I just love my Kronos, the only keyboard I've had that makes me want to play for an extra hour......the synths are to die for. My band think they have a new keys player!

I wish Korg to do remake of CX 3. Currently only Kronos can simulate it, which is kinda expensive instrument.

I wish my Kronos 73 have had a good RH3 keybed. I had to give it back two times. Hope the quality is better these days. I am now happy with my Physis Piano Viscount H1!

This is a genuine question - do you think you could get the sounds out of VST Instruments, or does the Kronos go a level beyond in terms of audio quality?
well, I will try a genuine answer.
The Kronos is essentially a computer running a Linux OS (optimized for musical use), so, in theory, there is nothing that you can't reproduce with a properly configured computer, the right programs/VST and a good midi keyboard. Actually some people says that you can get much more from a computer using different tools...
Anyway, imho, the real power of the Kronos is that it offers the flexibility of a computer but it was nevertheless designed as a unique musical instrument in an optimized enviroment... for example, you can get impressive results from the combination of the 9 sound engines and the latest incarnation of the karma technology, if you know how to use it (of course). And then you have a drum machine, a sequencer, a sample recorder and editor etc.
It's not a simple machine to control, but the combination of the different features can produce impressive results.
Is it worth the money?
Well, this is up to you to decide...personally I have bought the 61 keys version and don't regret it.

buy vst plugin instead. I have the kronos , its very difficult to program.
I gave up and bought vst piano plugin instead. Kronos is better suited for road work, wedding bands.
After 3 yrs i still cannot understand the kronos, big waste of money.

at 15:00 you're using the Karma feature and I was wondering if this was just on-the-spot improvisation or a tune you've written or are working on? Very cool feel and gives me some ideas. Karma is a friggin' awesome muse! Thanks. Love your playing and instinctive chord progressions.....very plagal in places, gives it a warm feel. Kudos.
sure would be helpful if you included a little text at the bottom with the program name being played in each sequence.

This doesn't show off the massive flexibility of working with sounds on this tool.

I have downloaded many EXS packages , I've put the programs in Categories and make inst file

Yes make a backup but everything should stay exactly the same only with the updates
It's a Kronos x 88 version with OS 3.02. It's not a Kronos 2, maybe the preloaded sound are from Kronos 2?
Predrag K , its the same thing, apart from wood on the side, Kronos 1, Kronos X, same with memory expansion and slightly bigger hard drive for a cost of £99 when it was on offer, Kronos 2, mmmm should be called kronos 3, its like apple all over again 4s, 5s, 6s, lol, S= shite loads of money for nothing new. anyway, all internals are the same on the kroni, I'm not sure if the Ex 16 & 17 and on it for free or included in the version 3.02 update, but i will try it this week and find out.

great demo. but im not into upgrading.. im good with my korg m50 88 keys... every musician has own opinion if it fits their needs or not.
I'm so sad I had to return my Kronos 3 times and then I gave up on it... it sounded excellent...
***** first time, bouncing keys; second time, more keyboard issues; third time, didn't boot. Replaced it for a Motif. I might get another one if I can be sure that quality issues are a thing from the past.
***** I don't know what to say. I love Korg, but I had the most awful experience with my Kronos and I was not the only one. For the moment, I won't risk until I hear reports that manufacturing issues are gone for good.
***** well, only you can decide. nord stage 2 is purely a keyboard made for stage, while kronos is an all-round studio and stage keyboard. if you want a really powerful workstation with 1,000's of sounds, you should maybe choose the kronos. But the grand piano on the nord stage 2 sounds way better than the kronos. and nord had a string resonance way before korg introduced it, which in my opinion means nord are ahead and are more capable of producing realistic grand piano sounds than korg. but at this level everyone has a different taste and everyone argues over stupid things, it's not like with them £49 casios. here you have to, in my opinion, choose what is best for you and not what is THE best.
Pere Amengual Gomila Yes. The kronos is shitty in that respect. Mine went in for warranty repair today because it's overheating and freezing lol.
DNG Maestro Do you have a standard Kronos, or a Kronos X, & if it's a standard Kronos, was it an early model? I've heard there were definitely some issues with early models of the Kronos. I have a Kronos X 88, (bought in December 2012) & I've had no issues with it what-so-ever. (knock on wood)
BTW, I love the fact that the free, OS 3.02 update knocks a full minute off the Kronos boot time. (& adds many extra, cool new features) My Kronos X used to take about 2 minutes & 20 seconds to boot up. Now, a minute & a half exactly, from the time I flip the power switch, until the time the Setups menu appears. HUGE difference!
