I doubt even Jessie J could pull it off like KZ did in this one, yet she was voted out easily. She's underrated and was a victim of discrimination, plain and simple.

This is not a lose, she gained open wide door for her globally, and still coming until this date.
I didn't know her, but 2 weeks ago I spent day and night watching her,I dropped everyone over her.
Tayo mga Pinoy huag naman ganoon, nakakakiya, lalona sa mga beauty contest, Miss Universe etc, tapos mamimintas para sa ibang country, last Ms Universe na sabotage ang contestant natin, nasa YT na tapos na ,nanalo na Ang Ms Philippines, Samantha hindi pa nag final, hindi lang nasa Barangay ang tsismissnan dyan, nasa buong Mundo and vlog nyo, English pa.
Malaking panalo ito kay KZ, maraming mga reactionist, Sabi si KZ dapat nanalo, mag world tour siya, she's well be known, sometimes we have to move back to leap farther!

I let my 9 years old Chinese ward to listen to her song, I asked if she can understand her pronunciation, and I ask if she sings good in mandarin, she said "Yes I can understand her, she's good!"

Singing is not just hitting the highest note but on how you touch life by your song...
she's no.1 for us..
I really don't think it was a risk. Placing 7th would still land her on the 4th spot. The girl eliminated only had 6.26% over all and the 5th placer only had 11.77%. Now, KZ got 24.08% on the 5th episode, even if she scored zero (impossible), her average would still be 12%, still landing her on 4th spot.
It was a very clever strategy to penetrate and prepare China for KZ. That's the ultimate prize for this competition, capturing the Chinese market. Why the hell is internationally known Jessie J there in the first place? The songs they chose for KZ to sing were old hits from a different era so much so that it did not surprise the generally young audience-jurors, but captured another segment (age bracket) of the people of China and enough to send the message to the younger audience that she can sing Chinese and has that haunting "voice". China has has a median age of about 38 years old and I guess the songs she sang appealed to that age bracket. China is an aging country with 59% is in the 25-64 age bracket. I think China accepted her already and will be ready for any surprise Kz would be pulling out of box which I believe are plentiful. Strategy , plain and simple.

Some comments say that her pronunciation is the reason why she only ranked 6th.

I really felt morose when she was eliminated, really really sad because in my opinion, she's the only contestant that sings from heart and sets aside that she is in a competition, she just sing through her heart and make sure that her audience would also feel that they would feel the emotions being contained to the song she's singing🥺❤. GFriday I totally agree! She has touched hearts of thousand chinese people. Even if a person is not chinese or doesn't understand Mandarin, when that person hears KZ singing he will surely feel the emotion. The emotion is very clear. She delivered it very well.

The Truth That's the one thing I am questioning to the audience tho. Maybe in that episode KZ is the only one who sang ballad. We can't say that the results were biased.
Jason Stylinso: Yes, we can say the Results are biased. KZ went through two scoring evaluations. The first one was with Angela, who won over KZ because, "her singing was so emotional"?!?!?! GFriday or yourself might not even remember who/what that performance was like, possibly because it was so unremarkable. Those are the score announcer's words. Anyway, of having GFriday verify this?
The Truth I feel like they are afraid that KZ will overpower them again, and eventually she already did. Maybe they change the results. Maybe KZ was even in higher rank than being on the bottom 2.

its great to get perspective from a Chinese person. Also, its very intuitive of you to address KZ getting 6th place as I am sure many wonder how this happened. I was a bit confused watching the audience cry but getting few votes and thought perhaps KZ did not pronounce the words well or the Chinese do not appreciate foreigners speaking their language if it is not pronounced correctly (sort of like the French). You clarified all that - Thank You. BTW - I totally love the song and KZ of course.
