Flys really smooth and fast.
Flying prop is a 3 bladed Sap prop 25x17.
Excellent, even the pilot uniform looks correct ! My dad flew an F6F with VF-11 2nd tour WESPAC on CV-12 USS Hornet. He led a division into many battles, including against the Yamato. Commander John W Ramsey USN 1941-63. Appreciate keeping the history alive.
Thanks for watching. This was modeled after Butch O"Hare's Hellcat. Squadron Commander VF-3 (while on the USS. Lexington.) #12
A tribute to men like your dad who served to secure our freedoms. God bless
Thank you brother 👍
Amazing!! Looking real good there! Looks like 1/4 or 1/5 scale, can't tell exactly. Love the canopy and the pilot figure. However the plane would look much better with a 3 blade prop. Excellent!!!!
Rumor has it that a new rc company out of Texas called "Bandit Models" is contemplating on making a Ziroli size Hellcat all composite. They are talking about museum like quality and even commissioning "real pilots" to sculpt a pilot specifically for it. I haven't seen an all composite Hellcat yet in the market, sounds like an interesting project. If they make one I'll be the first to buy one!
Cool Hellcat! Love that detailed pilot figure and the sliding canopy.
thanks for watching
I'm 70. Around models all my life. You really nailed it. Congratulations
Wow, thank you!
Oh she is a beauty. Great weathering details...and that sound....music to my ears.
Glad you enjoyed it
Sweet engine i could listen to that all day, and a great looking model
Why do these moki's sound so great. I want one just to play with and hear that wonderful sound. What's not to love about a motor in miniature
They are really cool.
Wow!!! Gorgeous Grumman!! Excellent job, my friend!!
Thank you for the encouragement. lots of hours of work.
One of the few RC planes that has realistic details, like a 1:48/1:32 plastic models has too. The cockpit and the landing gear are real, as well as the panel lines. This is not common in RC world. Very nice plane.
Thank you, that means a lot.
Wow!!!!! Love the sound and all the details👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching.
Gorgeous Hellcat!
Terrific looking model there; the engine sounds great, and all it needs is a scale flattop to make it feel at home.
Wow. A mini hellcat! 😮
That is a beautiful model.
GREAT MODEL!!!
The sound is beautiful.
Rad! Love the Helcat. Amazing work. That canopy is tremendous!
Glad you like it!
It won't be out of place on CV-3 Saratoga in black and white. Excellent job, man's toys become a civilization. VS-22
Thanks for watching
Wow, what an awesome Hellcat, great build 👍👍
Thank you
Great sound, beautiful plane, congratulations!
great paint job, and sounds fantastic
Thank you
Love the sound effects
It's all real. That's an actual 5 cylinder gas engine that flys.
What a great sound!
love that motor.
When it pulls the garage door apart, I'll know it has the power it needs. (Ex RC'r flying CL for loss of fields.)
Finally a pilot that appears real instead of a wooden stick.👍
Thank you for watching.
I love the closing canopy, very cool 😎
Thank you. It was a fun build
It's beautiful, just wish it had a 3-blade prop.
Amazing amount of detail.
Thanks for watching. Labor of love for the hobby.
This is great Mark! I am currently building a Bates 1/5 Bearcat with a moki 180. This gets me pumped.
Thank you for watching. looking forward to seeing your Bearcat soon.
@@markbutrum8986 Hello Mark, are you running a SEP prop? If so, you mind sharing what size?
@@ryanmiller3789 I'm currently running a 3 blade 25x17.
The plane is fast, I've considered using a 25x10.
Amazing plane.
Beautiful!! The cockpit does it for me!!
Same here!
Really nice man!
Great plane, it looks like ya can just climb aboard and take off.
Very Cool! Proper paint scheme too... for a dash 3 hellcat!
Thanks for watching
So realistic
Thank you for watching
Excellent Beautiful Sublime Inmortal 🛸
Gorgeous!!!!
Thank you
FANTASTIC!!!
Thanks
That radial sounds good
thanks for watching
What pilot is that leaning forward..in the cockpit?
Great job..best Hellcat on UA-cam 👍
It's a "best pilot". thanks for watching.
played golf with a guy who flew the hell cat off the old interprise....boy did he have some stories!
Thanks for watching. I bet he did.
Most impressive!!
Thanks for watching
That is awesome!!!
Thanks for watching
I thought it was real at first, sounded real too.
Thanks for watching.
If I didn’t know any better,...I’d think I was on the flight deck of the USS ENTERPRISE.
Brad Kaste. The USS Saratoga. Marine Detachment, 66 -- 68.
Thanks, its modeled after Butch Ohare's Hellcat and yes he would have been on the Lexington.
Cool!
Wow well done!
Thanks
That engine sounds gorgeous. The only way to go, I think. Why fly a weedwhacker or a dentist's drill when there are such awesome radials? I know, I know, the buy-in is...impressive, but you get such an amazing engine for your $$. God bless Moki for making such jewels.
Thanks for watching
I dont understand the brown for exhaust stain? Great plane love the sound!
It’s the correct colors. High Octane fuel creates a brown/light tan char or soot. It’s the color you want your spark plug to look.
This is TOO beautiful to fly. With all the work to make it so real, why didn’t you use a prop with the correct number of blades?
Thanks for watching Charles. This is only a video of the first engine run. It flies with a 3 blade prop.
Simply amazing. Thanks
Thank you for watching
Beautiful. Maybe a little dull coat on the insignias to get the shine off of them.
I'll have to take some more recent video. I used a dull coat from mission models that worked great. This was taken in the process of building.
Whoa dude.way cool
Thanks for watching
Awesome!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Soooooooo cool...
Thanks for watching.
One bad-ass airplane!!!
Thanks for watching Frank
Dang. VERY nice!
thank you
Boy does that engine sound realistic!
thanks
' Where do we get such { tiny} men'?
Best Pilots
Beautiful scale aircraft. Wow. Did you test fly it yet? If so how would you rate the power and performance with the Moki in it? Also, might you know whether or not a Moki 180 will fit in a Ziroli P47?
Here's a video of it flying ua-cam.com/video/58UM995ZpOY/v-deo.html
I'm not sure if it would fit in a Ziroli P-47. I've never seen anyone try it.
Looks great have you flown it?
Yes, I have. It flew last year in June. I need to get some video. thanks for watching.
Hey Mark I’m blown away, colors look excellent, panel lines , rivets weathering all very cool, Can I assume
The exhaust exits are functional? Great job on the sliding canopy, I bet that was challenging!
@@roymills415 thank you. Yes, the exhaust dump to scale.
is this full custom build or kit?
I built it from Ziroli Plans.
Where is the Pilot from ?
Best Pilots. I bought it unfinished and did it myself.
But, why 2-blade prop when real one had 3 ?
It has 3 blades now. That was the first engine run on the airframe.
Why no three bladed prop?
Thanks for watching. This was the first run with the engine installed in the airframe. It has a 3 blade prop that it flys.
@@markbutrum8986 Not to be crass but what does that radial cost, love the sound.
@@michaellucht6351 A Moki 180 will cost $4100
@@markbutrum8986 still cheaper than a divorce.
@@michaellucht6351 LOL
I'd like to see that fly...
There are a couple really bad quality videos of it flying. I'm really looking forward to getting some better video up.
Ja, ja......aber fliegt dieses Ding !!??
I don't know what you said, but thank you for watching.
It fly awesome here in America!
Er it’s factory made is it. Arf almost ready to fly.
I built it from Nick Ziroli Plans. Took about 10 months from start to finish.
Here's a video of it flying ua-cam.com/video/bqFOVx37Uy8/v-deo.html
