What I love about this podcast is that it is unfiltered and raw which makes it relatable 👍
"And coming back to workaholism..." I love that Liz always steers the ship back into the deeper, choppier waters. Side note: I love the way Jamey speaks with his hands, almost like he's conducting a conversational orchestra.

As 1 of many woman listening to this podcast, I think it is so cool to see the small percentage of men on this show putting in actual work into their deeper understanding and growth. But as many people have said in the comments, who really is the demographic for all of this information on the pod and how many women are listening in and putting in more work for the sake of the men in our lives.
Thank you for your feedback and support. It's not going to happen overnight. We're seeing more and more men join us on this journey and many women bring men in their lives in. Also, the audio podcast has much more even demographics than the video here on UA-cam - it's pretty much 50/50 and sometimes skews even more male. So we are reaching men; it will just take some time to continue to grow and get men to embrace the imperative of reframing masculinity.
Just wanna say I also felt the bromance - wish I could plant a kiss on Mr JB's forehead! A genuinely sweet man he is.
Shout out to Rainn for availing himself to help friends in need of his wisdom. His selfless nature is noted and applauded.
Sharing one's vulnerabilities as a man never comes easy. I've seen it with my own brother when his marriage fell apart. This thing of "suck it up, be a man" = epic fail. Baring yourself to 'trustworthy individuals' requires bravery. But it's also therapeutic. It rights the wrongs psychologically, emotionally and otherwise. Salute to the men to choose to go against the tide. They've graduated from being soldiers to commander-in-chief of their own battles. I mean, if this behavior ain't man enough idk what is.
That's my 2 cents.

I really relate to Rainn on growing up. The "Loser's Club" mentality, or maybe just that we all knew none of us were trying to climb "the ladder of manliness". I think it mostly comes down to power dynamics and how personalities tend to clump within those.

Incredible episode as always! Love the conversations that you guys get into, and I love how you break everything down and move through the topics so openly and intimately with yourselves and your guests. Such great examples to lead for anyone out there that might need some inspiration, or nudge in a positive direction. I will come back every week no hesitation! And I also would like to mention that I have initiated these conversations with my friends and family and I have gotten so much amazing feedback and interaction from them. It’s refreshing to be able to talk about these things with the people you love, and feel your relationships grow stronger. 🙏🏽❤️
Great conversation. I felt the same way as Liz, Rainn is a very humble guy and the bromance was palpable. I could feel how much you all had each other's backs and there was a vulnerability in your tenderness towards each other.

I am really interested to know what is the demographic for these Podcasts - how many of the viewers\listeners are men vs others?
I feel I watch this to get a better glimpse from a very versatile group of people on issues that interest me - like it's a bridge between me and my husband, who doesn't feel comfortable (yet *fingers crossed*) talking about these topics.

On audio, it's about 50/50. On video and social, it's still a bit more skewed towards women. We make the show for all people, with the knowledge that women will be our greatest advocates in inviting men/male-identifying people to the table. It is really about bringing a diverse range of people from the widest possible range of perspectives to help us all grow and learn together. Thank you for being here and we hope it does offer a bridge between many more people as we go.
@@WeAreManEnough The comments seem to be predominately women so I'm pretty sure your audience here is mostly women. As a man, I'm giving ya guys a chance but I'm not seeing a lot of topics discussed that seem relevant to me as a guy in this current society. I'll keep checkin in, though. I have plenty of topics I'd love to see you guys discuss.
@@brettscott7614 Most comments online and on social media are from women. The statistics are overwhelming to that end. We get an immense number of private messages via direct messages and emails from men. It's interesting how that plays out.
It's interesting to hear that you don't find these topics relevant to you as a guy. This show is absolutely made for men first and foremost. We are creating a safe place to explore questions around equality, gender identity, what it means to be a man in a way that allows for self-care, love of oneself and others.
We'd love to hear your suggestions for what would be of interest to you, as we continue to produce new episodes regularly.

@@WeAreManEnough Thanks for reaching out. I'm still trying to get into your content. I'm still watching. As far as subjects I'd like to see you guys cover: 1. Men dropping out of college(down to 40%). The degree isn't getting us the money we want and college debt is not worth it. 2.) Women calling men with degrees, looks and confidence "golden penis syndrome" trying to shame us...yet that's exactly the type of guys they all want and will mostly date. They won't date "down" 3.) This troubling relationship with Jada and Will. Will adores her and she still dreams of Tupac. She says so in her public forum even. Ouch! this is literally a top .1 percent of all men and wife is bored and wants an open relationship. Can't say he's not sensitive or emotional. These are current top subject me and the fellas text and talk about over drinks.

Hear me out here: This show is so great about bringing out the deep side of comedians like LilRel, Rainn, and Eugenio, I think there's someone that would be perfect for it.
Bo Burnham, as far as I can tell, hasn't done a single interview since releasing his masterpiece Inside on the Covid-weary world. If there was ever a show for him to come on and go deep about what it took to make that work of art, to unpack all of the feelings Inside it, I can't imagine a better one than Man Enough.

I love rainn Wilson, I have heard him talk on interviews about a lot of different topics and he is so smart and passionate and open. It of course started with The Office but he really is so much more than that role. I loved Liz geeking out over him.
10:20 good point about therapy. Next level is group therapy, where you have the opportunity to hold space for others. 👍 Gives you perspective too, as well as being of service. It is said suicidal people use the pronoun "I" more often than other people.

You should invite Wil Weathon also. He is a feminist, committed to authenticity and working on himself and he has a very interesting personal story. He's the newest rising mainstream male asian actor in us/western media (he plays shang chi!) for the first time EVER and he is breaking stereotypes and breaking molds for us young Asian Americans. He has such an interesting perspective on life, feelings, and how he navigates his life. Asian americans have always been swept under the rug, mistreated, and misunderstood. It would mean the world to us Asian american viewers as well as opening people's eyes to our culture and our lives. Idk if I'll even be alive right now if it wasn't for yall 😭
We have! Hopefully we'll get him, and many other Asians and Asian Americans, on the podcast soon. We agree that these communities need much better representation, including not putting an entire continent into one group!

Important point and yes the moral panic about men being " feminized " has no other equivalent moral panic about women being " masculinized " and that tells a lot about how people see femalehood is down and words like " backlash against masculinity" and " war on men " have no similar equivalent phrases when describing the dynamic changing in the collection image of femininity and what it means to be in fact second wave feminism was focusing on criticising femininity and no one pointed at them with words like " the backlash against femininity" and a " a war on women " because society sees women and womanhood is not something that actually worth to held a war on cz it's not that important and worthy value.

Absolutely agree 👍 and if the " nice guys finish last" for real then why most of women prefer romantic actors and musicians over the gangster type of actors and musicians and why women on general are goshing over men who participated in artistic fields like theater, music industry, film industry, dancers etc than men who participate in sports and wwe , the answer is clear and most men knowns the answer but they don't want to admit it because they prefer to think that women would like the egoistic stereotypical image they construct for themselves and that provides to them some sense of ego

nice guys finish last because they are not actually nice. It is transactional and they assume we are oblivious to it... and it is obviously disingenuous. And self interested again pointing back to the patriarchal schemes of competition comparison and manipulation. This is why I'd rather have a bad boy tell it like it is because they do than a "nice guy" printed he cares when he is too absorbed in what he wants what he thinks what he does instead of getting to genuinely know each other.
Rather masculie/feminine how about subjective/objective?
Wearing a mask means “caring for others”, and men seems to have been fed this idea that it’s not their responsibility/it’s not “manly” to care about anyone other than yourself and protecting the thing that gives you the power to think only of yourself aka “the patriarchy”

That’s nice that the show has LA industry type, if you’re gonna title towards men can we get construction workers or divorced fathers. Let’s get some men that speak their truth not having to be polite because it’s all wrapped in show biz. The problem of men is women’s broken expectations not patriarchy, you could add corporate manipulation as a problem too.

Sorry. --& aren't ready to take a deep introspective look inwards at yourself and a lot of subconscious learned behavior that is literally ingrained within all of us due to society & our parents generation's subconscious poor traits passed onto us as children without them even being aware. I stated the show is hosted by and guests rich LA elitist. I stated they should have the working class men as guest if they’re really trying to target men. I did say women’s broken expectations are a problem for men. As in modern White American women only view life through their perspective and don’t consider what their male counterparts have gone through in providing the care free lives they seem to be in even though if you ask a white girl she’s the most underprivileged in modern times (a joke but also a partial truth).
Corporate manipulation: Vulture Capitalism is destructive, to humanity, relationships, our everyday lives.
Patriarchy isn’t the problem like feminists would like to dumb down and lead you to believe. It’s greed, the greed of the 1% that has everyone living a dog eat dog world and pointing blame at each other. I believe you’re smarter than to think 50% of humanity is the issue (patriarchy). If you use patriarchy to explain only a few rich white men then you’re not intelligent and are essentially using punch lines and bully tactics to get a undeveloped ideology across.
Women can be amazing, though in my generalization of current American females, these girls are lost in ego.
I know who I am, I am accountable, and don’t need a show that’s feminists propaganda telling men to be accountable like they (men) are the cause for the worlds issues when it’s hosted by rich kids who don’t live a standard reality as it is.
Both men and women have issues as we all seem to be dumb ass’s lately.
The show is called “Man Enough” and seems too have to men that are just grown children living up to their mistakes. I know women love to hear stories they can empathize with but this does the majority of men no service.
Men are facing hurdles in every direction for generations and need advice and direction not some LA rich kids that still need growing to do and are trying to nationally apologize for it.
I would love to see more of a voice of decent represented on this podcast. Too much agreement. It seems like an echo chamber. Good conversation. However, more diversity of thought would make it more interesting.

women are choosing the men they want to be with, if they ask for idiots that how men are gonna behave to get ah date. I’ve never gone to a bar, met a girl and swooned her with talk of electricity, construction, politics, or humanity. Women want entertainment, music, and to laugh (me being a jackass to entertain).
Women aren't a hive mind. Your biggest enemy is your own attitude. If you want women interested in the same things as you, then join political orgs, join groups interested in "electricity" (whatever you mean by that) and construction.
