I'm from Australia. Came out from England in 1966. I visited Weardale in 2015 and I had the feeling I knew the area intimately. It was only later doing genealogy I discovered many of my direct ancestors lived in and around Weardale. The Featherstones, Hodgsons, Roddams...etc. Genetic memory?
