Decorah Hatchery 17/07/1

Using the hatchery cam the camera operator caught many instances of large birds soaring, at least some of which are very likely the Decorah Bald Eagle family. The birds are quite distant but this page has many examples of raptor silhouettes westcountyhawkwatch.blogspot.com to help sort out which birds might be eagles. Ground observers have reported numerous Turkey Vultures in the area who also soar thermals like eagles do. I used fast motion for any periods of empty sky longer than a few seconds which is noted in the video with timecodes.
