Sonic beat em up but they just put Akiyama in a cheap Sonic halloween costume, while every other character is normal. This should never be mentioned by the game, the developers, and ideally not even by the players.
I wonder if SEGA one day will have the amazing idea to have Ryu Ga Gotoku studio work together with the Sonic team to develop a Sonic styled Yakuza game.

There is a mod where it adds multiple fighting styles and heat actions for Majima and Kiryu which includes Kenshiro’s moveset and hidden techniques for Rush.

Its just mind-boggling, cool and funny to see Eggman do a move from fist of the north star in a Yakuza game and at the end of the day their all owned by sega. (Actually toei really owns FNS but sega did publish most of the games sooo :shrug:)
Honestly of they put him in the game with his 06 design it would be amazing. In Shenmue, Yakuza and Judgment Sega's consoles and arcades are canon so it could be like a guy that's obsessed with sonic or something

However, people are developing an animation converter that would be able to convert animation files into GMTs, which can then be ported into Yakuza (all titles). However, it is either a rumor or extremely early in its development.

Akiyama 100% fits sonic the most in terms of combat and some parts of their personality. At least in my opinion.

This is why Sega confined him to mechs, his normal power would be too strong for Sonic to handle. He even proved this by outrunning Sonic in Sonic 2.
