Thank you! Yeah I remember back when I worked at Amtrak at West Oakland in 2010 I was getting off at around 11pm/midnight each night and it coincided with the ethanol job's eastbound departure. They would always crawl through JLS and West Oakland then notch eight through to Point Pinole. The pairs of GP15-1s and GP38M-3s they used were savage trying to get those ethanol loads up to track speed.
Last time I talked to the NWP General Manager, he indicated it's the same it was at the end of NWP ownership. Monday or Tuesday: Schellville-Napa JCT-Schellville. Monday or Tuesday night Schellville-Petaluma-Schellville. This repeats for Wednesday and Thursday. The day they run depends on when the Cal Northern sets out their cars for interchange and when empties are released in Petaluma. I would say Tuesdays are your best bet. Even when I just show up in the afternoon at Schellville, they've run 3 out of 5 times I've shown up out of about 40 times I went to Schellville in the last ten years. Hope this helps and good luck!
Nice seeing the unit going long hood forward
Nice shot, I hope to see a SD59MX someday
Great video!! Empty ethanol cars picked up at Selby enroute back to Rast Oakland. Used to have two 4 axle EMD locomotives and ran mostly at night.

This evening’s Amtrak 5 will have a UP SD70M leader, try getting out if you can!
I saw it go by from my house!
I saw this a few minutes later at Richmond BART

Did smart stop the NWP freight operations yet?
SMART is contracting with Summit Signal INC., to run freight operations on an interim basis until SMART is ready to fully assume freight ops.
Not an SD70ACe but ok
