When all connected how many volts does the Orbit PSR need to activate? When I followed your system of going directly from the power converter it kicked in nicely at 45 volts. But once installed I see the timer only gives the PSR 1 volt. Am I missing something? Thanks for your very instructive and really helpful videos.
Thanks for watching my video and your kind comments! I don't really see how you got 45 volts? The solenoid uses 24 VAC at the MAX. If you did use 45 volts, you probably fried the solenoid. This video may help you out: ua-cam.com/video/8mFMKKAtZmQ/v-deo.html Best, The Sailor.
I just bought the same orbit starter relay and after testing it with 240V, gives out only 167 Volt on the Load side.(Of course the pump is not running). I got if from lowe's, maybe it was a return item and nobody knew it was bad. Sux, I need to return or replace it and do the whole wiring again.

How do you wire 220v I have black wire and white wire coming from pump and breaker and white (common) and red which says should go to pump, I tried only l1 and l2 in and out and would not kick pressure switch on
Thanks for watching my video Tim. This video will probably help you understand. Link: ua-cam.com/video/8mFMKKAtZmQ/v-deo.html The video is showing 110V, but 220V works the same way. The 24V is what opens and closes the pump start relay. Let me know if you have more questions. You may like my other videos. Just type Lsailor1 in the UA-cam search bar. Like them? Thanks for watching my video! I am not familiar with that pump, but I would suspect if you went to the manufacturer's web site, they would have downloadable schematics or just give them a call. Hello, this may sound stupid but... so, I have to connect L1in with the cable coming from the Sprinkler Control system, L1out with the cable going to the pump and 24Vac to the transformer?
Thanks for watching my video Rock! There are no stupid questions. L1 and L2 IN is the power coming from a circuit breaker box. L1 and L2 OUT is the power going to the pump. 24V (two lines) go to the SOLENOID to switch the power on and off to the pump. Hi, I was wondering if I can get any help with the wiring. When I look at the wiring line 1 in (red) line 1 out (black) line 2 in (red) and line 2 out (black). So now I am confused, why are the line in 1 and 2 red, and line 1 and 2 out black?? I have a Intermatic Mechanical sprinkler timer and would like the switch to a rachio.
Thanks for watching my video Di! Think of the red as "Hot Power" going to the relay and the black as power going to the pump. This video may help you out: ua-cam.com/video/8mFMKKAtZmQ/v-deo.html Best, The Sailor.
The L1 power in wire color goes through the relay contacts and should stay the same color wire to the motor. Switching wire colors on L1, in & out is confusing and dangerous.
Thanks for watching my video! The blue wires marked "24VAC" are clearly showing. Here is one way to connect wires together: ua-cam.com/video/LogsUzATLn8/v-deo.html You may like my other videos. Just type Lsailor1 in the UA-cam search bar. Like them? Subscribe for the latest! Best, The Sailor.

I wonder if anyone here tried the reset button on their relay switch before purchasing a new one?
You couldn't add audio ???
