The car has been performing well no issues and have been getting between 14.2 and 19.6 litres per 100km while towing. Average has been 16.5. The higher readings have been while travelling through the ranges with gale force head winds. Cheers!
I really appreciate these videos. We hope to do the same trip soon and this is a great way to see before getting there. Was wondering, did you plan you route and stopovers before leaving home. Also did you always book ahead for the sites. Looks like the wind has eased and you will now head into some warmer weather. Its cold, wet and windy over here in the east.
We did some planning prior to leaving. I mapped the route with a highlighter and chose the stop overs based on no more than 300km apart. There has been some deviations but basically sticking to the plan. We started off booking a day or two ahead and as we are getting further North we have booked about 7 days ahead as it is W.A. school holidays at the moment. And yes looking forward to the warmer weather. Cheers!
Generally I don’t advise costings in any of my vids because they can vary so much depending on the time of year, off season, school holidays, peak times, if you want an ensuite site or unpowered site etc. but when we stayed there in July it cost $43.00 per night for a powered site. Thanks for your comment. Cheers!
