Excellent video topic! Thanks for giving "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" some praise. It was the first King book I ever read. Holds a special place in my heart.
Great video, and capped it off on "19" minutes! Finished The Talisman for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was phenomenal and wholesome. So many adventures with Jack and friends in one book.
I’m on a Stephen King book marathon (on number 15 now) and was wondering when to read the dark tower series? I’m desperate to read them but wondered if I should leave them till last or if I should read them soon as I know some books are linked to the DT series. Grateful for any thoughts from a Stephen King enthusiast!!
Rebecca King I honestly would read 'Salem's Lot before you read the Dark Tower series. There's someone in that book who shows up later in the series and is important. Other than that you are good to go.
I always recommend published order because there's a LOT of different books that factor into the TOWER like 'Salem's Lot,' 'The Stand,' 'The Talisman' & it's sequel 'Black House,' 'Insomnia,' 'Hearts In Atlantis,' with various others like the title story in 'Everything's Eventual.' I know it's a TON to take into consideration, but you'll have a much more enjoyable experience if you take those entries in. I recommend consulting Wikipedia on The Dark Tower to see all the books that tie in. Too many for me to mention here.
Love The Regulators (along with Desperation). Btw, is it just my imagination, or have you lost some serious poundages (aka bodyweight) since early 2018?
Revival was awesome. I think you missed Joyland. It nails the confusion of young adulthood as well as The Body got pubescence. Also Lisey's Story, with its absolutely wild otherworldly elements. The only problem I had with that book was the can opener scene, which seemed like King was jumping on the torture porn bandwagon. SK doesn't follow trends, he makes the trends.
Shit for me? The Green Mile (though its earned its due) Gerald's Game 11/22/63 Doctor Sleep Firestarter 1922 Blockade Billy The Running Man (I'd add most of the Bachman Books to this)

Duma Key and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordan are two of my absolute favorites! I'm glad you mentioned them!
The Regulators is great! I read it in succession with desperation, which may make a difference, but man was it good! Great video!
Great list! I think Needful Things and Joyland are a couple others. Thanks for the great show.
The Regulators was such a great book. I enjoyed it a lot more than Desperation.
You should start doing spoiler reviews, I would enjoy those

Thanks as always for a great segment 👍
Great video fuego. Very hepful video to know more about king's novels. Fantastic show
Great review. Thanks very much
I totally agree regarding Revival, a truly frightening ending and awesome characters! But like your friend i also struggled with a Buick 8.
I think his most underrated books are Needful things, Mr. Mercedes and Joyland.

Wow there is so much KING I love it, Love It!!!
Love this episode. Long live the KING!!!!!!
No mention of Insomnia on your list? That book is outstanding for how different it is from King’s other work and it’s a damn good story to boot.
I loved eyes of the dragon. It defo needs a decent adaptation, iv never heard anybody who has read it not enjoying it

JOYLAND. That just barely missed the cut and in hindsight I might have put that in as opposed to DOLORES CLAIBORNE.
ck2d God Dog! What a great observation! As a life long King reader(32 yo) Joyland has easily become one of my favorites! Great addition!
Man.... I really LOVE Lisey's Story...
Revival was so good! Mother!
I love Eyes Of the Dragon, the book written for his Sai Kings Daughter.
Bag of Bones!!!!!! Maybe you should listen to SK reading the book? Maybe you'll get more out of it?
and the regulators. how is your camera it gave me a heart attack
What about doctor sleep
Isn't the tv movie Rose Red based on Rose Madder?
It doesn't sound like it at all. There wasn't an abused woman on the run. It's about a haunted mansion that changes form and stuff.
nice video
read shadowland by straub it is really messed up
My favorite Straub book (so far- I've only read a few) is Ghost Story.
Shit for me?
The Green Mile (though its earned its due)
Gerald's Game
11/22/63
Doctor Sleep
Firestarter
1922
Blockade Billy
The Running Man (I'd add most of the Bachman Books to this)
i thought you hated delores claiborne and rose madder?
Nope. Both are terrific.
The Long Walk
rose madder
I got bored with Revival, I might give it another chance.
It was very good. One of my favs post accident. I ended up listening to the audiobook give that a try its really good.
what about the most overrated ones?
