You're forgetting the huge contract Higgins is expecting. Plus he's 4 years older or closer to the end of his career.The Titans already have so much money invested in their receivers. It doesn't make sense to trade down and missing out on the best tackle in the draft.
You traded down and got a Top 15-ish WR and a LT...they have the money to spend since Levis is only in year two. Why do you want Levis to fail?
@@Broshmo Levi's is more likely to fall if you can't protect him. They also need to fix their defensive line and the LB group. Throwing #1 receiver money at a career #2 is not good business.
The Titans/Bengals trade is one of the things I'm actually predicting.. I like the move... Everyone is happy. 18 is a bit low. But I understand the move. And Troy is one of my favorite OT's.

As a fellow Cardinals fan, dude, this draft was pretty good, didn’t like the trade up, but it made our team much more competitive than Marvin Harrison Junior at four ever will. Sorry if it disappoints you, but the truth does hurt sometimes :-) This draft gave us a chance to actually win enough football games. We may be drafting in the mid teams next year instead of in the top 10, which is what’s gonna happen if we take a receiver at four in my opinion.

@@MizakiFelix it’s not even just about Marv. if we don’t walk away with any of the top 3 receivers most of our fanbase including me is gonna be pretty pissed. we have enough picks as it is to fill out this roster pretty good. getting more picks is always good but the only reason you acquire draft picks is to draft good players. and if a potentially generational receiver is staring at you at #4, don’t overthink it
I’d rather trade up for Arnold over Dejean as a packers fan
No way! What I like about DeJean is that they can move him around to where he is needed the most. Dude can play outside cb, play in the slot, as well as safety. Taking him will also open up more options later in the draft, say Bullard falls to them in the third round, now they can use DeJean at CB. Or maybe Renardo Green from FSU falls there and he is a good outside CB they can use DeJean at safety or slot. Or even Greens partner from FSU, Jarrian Jones is there even later maybe round 4 or 5, he is an excellent slot CB and they can use DeJean on the outside or safety… he really is a Swiss Army knife. Of course I’m ok with taking Arnold or Mitchell if they fall as well but I’m not sold on Kool Aid as a first rounder, but imagine they take DeJean and Kool Aid falls to round two and they traded up to grab him also… that would be sick! The 4-3 defense is more dependent on putting pressure on the QB and forcing bad throws so they may even go edge or DT. We shall see but I’m pumped
As a Colts fan I’d rather trade back to 19 than 25 (or not at all) and then have to watch all the corner’s I actually like get taken along with BTJ and AD Mitchell. It’s such a Ballard move tho 😂
As a Bengals fan loved the trade. hate to see Higgins leave but Nabors makes up for his loss in spades, plus frees up 22 mill in cap space that can be used further improve areas of need.

I’d only take it if the Bengals took on part of his 2024 franchise contract. We will need to spend some cheddar to bolster the Defense and keep some coins in the pocket.

If Alt is there at 9 I don't think the bears pass on that.. 2 bookend tackles for Caleb's for the next 10+ years would be massive!!! And braxton jones can try taking a guards spot (bears need iol) then they can target guys like Brendan rice in the 3rd round still or maybe 1st round wr next year. But Alt+Wright would be a NASTY tackle combo

Agreed, as a Cardinal fan I didn’t necessarily hate this draft, I like the positions he addressed, I would not have taken the person he did at 11 I would’ve taken verse instead, I love the pic at 12, but I did not like the trade up :-) but dude if we walked away with this draft, I would be doing cartwheels

So you have the ravens trading out of the first for just a 4th rd pick and trading back from 130 to 139 makes literally no sense. On top of all that guyton was still available 🤦🏻♂️. At the minimum they’re getting an early 4th and a later rd pick or pick swap in there favor.

Cardinals don't have to trade back to get 3 firsts. That's why we did what we did last yr. We can easily trade up to the teens and then come back into the first also. Plus, next yr we have over $50mil to spend. We're fine. If Vikings want the 4th pick, it's 3 firsts or hit the road.

I don't mind the Vikings Cards trade from a fan perspective, however I feel a trade up would happen even higher to get one of the wrs. Other than that for what you had them do it makes sense.

My pain watching Bro trade away number 15 when the Colts basically had their pick at CB outside of Quinyon. BTJ as well at WR. And then watching them all get taken (including AD Mitchel) I’d honestly be upset if Ballard did this. I could settle for lesser prospects, but I think Ballard needs to hit on a top 15 prospect, which means sticking at 15. If he trades back at all, I hope it’s 19 at the furthest to ensure he still gets someone like a BTJ or at least a Kool Aid or Wiggins (maybe get lucky and still get T. Arnold) before that next tier of WR and CB. If he could find an earlier partner to tango with

As a Broncos fan, I do not mind the trade. In my opinion, to trade down more than 10 spots and do not receive a 2nd round pick or a 2025 1st or 2nd round pick is not enough. Broncos are taking a bigger risk that Bo Nix is not there at pick 27, especially if a 2024 2nd or next year 1st or 2nd round pick not available to sweeten the deal.

We have been jaded by the media speculation on what Arizona is asking for for that pic LMAO. In all reality, we don’t have any idea what they are going to ask in compensation to trade back so the trade back in of itself was just fine.
Agreed Marvin Harrison Junior equals one player, extra draft picks equal more than one star player onto your team. This seems like good math to me.

I think all 3 top Qbs will be arguably top 10 Qbs if they develop right the good thing about them is that they have a lower bust rate than the 2021 class I want Maye for the Patriots but I wouldn't mind Daniel's either either one is arguably the 2nd best QB in the AFC East day 1

as a giants fan the fact that we will be coming out of this draft with no QB prospect for the next years is disgusting, wr at 6 does nothing for this team, unfortunatelly this is what will happen 100%, as joe schoen keeps it forever with daniel jones and overall mid draft classes, keeping on losing the fan base and then his job as a GM

I like the 1st round pick of Turner to the Falcons any of the top 3 edge's are a good pick. Turner and Latu probably fit scheme better but verse is super talented too so can't be mad if he is the pick either come draft day lol. As far as round 2 i really don't care much for the round 2 CB's this year in Tampa and Lassiter i honestly like about 4 or 5 of the round 3 cb's better than i like the round 2 guys. Melton, Sain, Jackson, James, Draine. and Phillips. Head to head i prefer those guys even in round 3 over Tampa and Lassiter :) Now if Koolaid, Rakestraw, or Wiggins fall to round 2 at our pick i might have to go for them there. Which in this draft rakestraw did so i easily take him over Tampa. I would still probably hold off on CB til round 3 and go after a WR like Coleman, Franklin or Worthy there. Although if we still think Sweat is a round 2 guy i take him over WR or CB as i just feel NT is a bigger need. Nubin would be my 2nd choice after Sweat at SS as well as i think thats a much bigger need than WR and CB as well. So Sweat > Nubin > WR2 > CB is how i would grab them in round 2. If we think Sweat falls to round 3 in the real draft i go Nubin there.
As a Raiders Fan i'm okay with Mims but i would absolutely hate Benson. For me he's not RB1 but even if he'd be, that roster has got so many holes. I don't think that you could afford to start with an RB as a building block...
Yes Arizona with holes let's ignore they have the most picks in the top 90, trade back for less than their asking price, let's disregard QB Tax and missing out on all 3 WRs. Also the Bengals would have to give up more than a pick swap and a WR.

I'd rather go eith Marvin, try and get Kool-Aid and hope a lineman like Morgan falls. Or I can trade some capital with the 2nd round to move back up and secure a decent edge. Would take that scenario over less of an asking price.

Marvin is a million times better than Adonai. But latu and Quinyon over Wiggins is a bigger gap than Marlin to Adonai. I’m rlly not tryna defend Broshmo rn because he’s been rude to basically everyone, but he did the cardinals good
The Higgins trade is interesting, but the Titans got fleeced imo. At the very least they should get the Bengals 2nd as well.
Nabers is very likely a legit #1, not a good #2 like Tee. You're essentially giving up a late 1st rounder for Tee, with only a 1 year deal. Yeah an extension can be reached, but it'll be at like 3X the money Nabers would get for 4-5 years. Money that can be spent elsewhere bolstering a roster with still several holes.
Still an interesting proposition if the compensation was better. I do also think Fashanu would be the pick over Fautanu since he looks like a better pass protector.
I think Titans will surprise and grab Brock Bowers or Joe Alt don't think they want to trade with Bengals when they gave a lot of money to Ridley.

1. They dont want to trade out of getting the top 3 receivers
2. They are passing on a generational player

the MINIMUM is 3 frp plus even more especially when its pretty clear they want a reciever early and the comp they get is not enough to feel super comfortable trading back up for a top receiver.
I didn’t even mention how they also already have a fuck of top 100 capital to get quality players at positions of need.
No way lions not get newton perfect fit and a need especially for a late second round wr talent body catcher with one year production

13:02 Tennessee would be stupid to trade for a receiver that is expecting a new contract for 25 million a year. No thanks. Nabers is just as good or better.. Higgins slows down the rebuild because Tennessee will have 60-70 million dollars invested in the receiver position and the only number 1 receiver is in the last year of his contract. Ridley is over thirty and Higgins isn't a number 1 receiver.

@@Broshmo Well yes, but fundamentally @brianrochelle is right, The Titans have added 2 massive contracts with Ridley + Sneed, and while they can afford these, making room for another at 25 million a year will be very difficult without putting them in a terrible financial spot going forward. Something that they just got out of with their last GM. (while they have $25ish million in effective cap space currently that is already with having Ridley + Sneed's contract backloaded... adding a 3rd contract at $25ish million basically locks them into all 3 contracts for the full duration where as right now they can get out of both with minimal cap hit loss in years 2 or 3 so long as some cap gets rolled over into next year... this is a poor decision when nothing about the Titans is set in stone, with the new ish QB and coaching staff along with the release of Henry).
They are also a team that is going to be missing a 3rd this year and next year... and would thus be looking for more picks rather than a player in a trade unless they were being discounted... especially when Nabers or Alt is right there and they could take a tackle or WR at 38 if they had too (pulling a bengals esq draft with Ja'marr Chase).
Not a fan as a packers fan. It's OK, but we gave up too much. We don't need to trade up.
