This is such a great video, hopefully many discouraged people will see this, and be reminded that even the top players have not only been through this, but still go through it. In other words, stop comparing your M+ journey to other people's highlight reel. Also, I would say that the best advice for anyone wanting to tackle the M+ journey (like stated by multiple top-end players on your podcast and you yourself) is to: Drink a glass of Get Over Yourself. Then, check your Ego at the Keystone font. If you can manage to do these two things consistently, you put yourself in a position to have the best overall experience and success.
Attitude really is so important. Bad mood may be infectuous, but good mood is aswell. I've had bricked keys where we all were cool and joking about it and even though we didn't upgrade it, we had a lot of fun. I'd play such a key over one that may get timed but where everyone is toxic af every day.

Great lesson to emphasize: Mythic+ is just a part of the game. I have this overwhelming anxiety when I'm tanking haha it's supposed to be fun. Thanks Quazii
80% of tanking is routine (routes, mechanics, rotation). The start of a season is necessarily the hardest part. After you've run a dungeon dozens of times, the remaining 20% is adjusting to your group, assuming you are pugging. It's less of a question of if you are good enough but rather of if you can stick through it.
back in season 4 of shadowlands, we did M+ keys with my real life friends. The funny thing is we are all melee classes. DH tank, healer monk, 2DK and 1 ret pala. It was fun doing mechanics like quaking storming, bursting. We manage to run until +15 but eventually we pugged the rest of the season
Awesome tips from a guy that (obviously, sincerely) follows the tips. For such a good player, Quazii is super humble and giving with his time and knowledge.
I've been a raider with my guild since Wrath, and only got into mythic plus in Dragonflight. For some reason, the thought of networking never occurred to me. Face palm moment for me, thanks for pointing out my blind spot, Quazii!
Great video Quazii. I love this game but find it really difficult to raid or even do m+ due to very bad anxiety. Hoping to atleast try m+ this season and hopefully it goes well. Aprecaite the video.
number 1 is the best lesson as this is a soft skill in organizations you network and build relationships. Lessons you learn in WOW (auctioneering, understanding economy and now building relationships). Great lesson, Quaz! - from your Asian Auntie lol
My advice is to not only let your team know what you are about to do but also what you CAN'T do. If your AOE or ST stun, interrupt, cage/ fear/ what ever on CD and you know there is a certain event going to happen, let you team know that you can't do anything about it. Either through voice or through weak auras. Some might find them annoying but I got good feedback (I run PUGs) that my way of announcing things in chat is way more efficient than the common auras. My WA doesn't only say "interrupted spell x" mine writes: - interrupt on CD x seconds - ST stun on CD x seconds - AOE stun on CD x seconds - incap on CD x seconds - etc.. I often only use the interrupt one on classes which have a high cool down like shadow priest. By sending the cooldown number you're letting your team know what you can't do in that time window, not only what you had done. It's more likely that people don't play a bunch of toons and don't know every class/spec so they might not know how long a warrior interrupt is for ex. Also most people are not tracking Stuns, incap, things like blinding light/fear, etc but CC is so important in higher keys! Happy keying mates, see ya in tool. Always stay cool and focused. Don't sell your friends for 2 score. Enjoy your gameplay. And always remember: screw the meta 😂🤝
This is a great video. I only started doing M+ in Dragonflight and in the first season I was in a pug for Freehold and at the end during one run I got beat down on for not doing CC on some of the adds for the last boss. It wasn't something I encountered before and while embarrassed and angry (at myself but I'm always hard on myself when I make mistakes :| ), I learned from that mistake, kept going but made sure to always CC when needed. I do that with every dungeon I've ever run now, too, because running them in M+ isn't like running them in normal or Heroic. I think a lot of the toxic stuff happens when you have players who do M+ dungeons - especially older ones - have that knowledge already, but some players who are new, like me, don't. I am going to do M+ for TWW since I did enjoy it during DF and while I don't plan to push beyond getting the mounts for the seasons, I also won't sweat it to learn. Thanks Quazii for the videos!
Great video! but i do think mythic+ has a issue, i play feral, ik its not meta, im 610 ilvl and i dont even get invited to +2 keys, i can que for hours and i still dont get invited, i was farming scandyrs grace the trinket from grim batol and i have a +4 3 chested and that still dosnt help, i dont understand why, i do good dmg, i cc, i dispell where its needed, interrupts eks

It tends to take more time to form groups the higher in key level you go. People want to make sure they have the best chance of timing the key, and that means not inviting people who don’t have the gear or don’t have the IO. The best way to not worry about getting invited is to form your own groups.

Not even close, but its a major step up from 2750. Its not 'the' wall but it could be a soft wall and skill check (for the whole group). The game does change but if you reach far enough you get to the people who are playing for fun/challange, not just trying to free farm weekly 10s. The last points were really rough for me (last season, first time) and then I got 75 points (3050) in one play session with a great group. I've heard of people pure pugging way higher - probably rare though. I wouldn't feel bad if making it over the line is hard, take the time to polish and level up your play (as the video says) so that you fire when you do randomly get that good group. Note this was before prepatch, post prepatch was easy to get way higher, if you were struggling then I recommend improving fundamentals.
Problem is you can't play m+ unless you have a specific M+ score, or unless your Ilevel is at a specific level. So while everything you say is smart, it just doesn't look like reality. I had a good group but it broke apart because we didn't share the same goals for the season. Since then my only goal is to hit 2500 rating and have dungeons done to get the portals (for dungeons I don't already have). I cant be bothered to do anything else. As you said rating is just a number and nobody will care unless you are in worlds top number which I doubt I'll ever be without premade group of friends.
