honestly my only complaint was that most of the game was on mars and only a small part in hell, and hell was small and boring, big let down from the classic 100levels of hell that looked cool and mostly each uniqe, if they did that shit again propperly for like the 2nd 2 3rds of doom 3 it wud have been best shooter ever
***** i believe they did well to remove the flashlight as a weapon in the BFG edition. they also made the character move faster. they made the game more reminiscent of the original DOOM and DOOM2, which was run and gunning while, well...being DOOMed! the scare factor is still there and if you need a bad flashlight mechanic to make a game scary then you have no idea what you're doing. and DOOM3 was still really scary in the BFG edition. so the decision to remove the flashlight wasnt only needed, but welcome as well.
Doom 3 is a legendary game that stands alone in it's own genre within the Doom series. This is the best Doom song of all. I love stories within shooters and this one intrigued me. I remember when I was way younger getting off of work late and going to my cousins to play this am hour each night cuz back then his computer was fast enough to run it, this game would send chills down my spine. To this day there has never been a game that literally had me jump out my seat, scare the shit out of me like this game. The new Doom is awesome, I have it, but it didn't quite have that same effect on me like Doom 3 or Ressurection of Evil. I will say, the one thing that let me down just a tad was the lack of a good storyline with the new one, but damn it's good fun and that multiplayer has me hooked over Titanfall 2 for some reason

Ah man. Brings old memories back. The main menu interested me on the Xbox original. Then hearing the voices and seeing images of gameplay. Doom 3 really terrified me when I was a little kid. The wonders of Hell, space, mars, ancient civilizations, UAC.
The menu music for Doom 3 was a bunch of TOOL songs mashed together and shortened. You just extended it to the length of a regular TOOL song (I respect you)

It was amazing playing this game in 2004 man. My dad had the demo...he had 5.1 surround speakers Dolby Pro Logic II plugged in to his comp...it was scary as hell. The atmosphere was unknown and intense. You could get RAPED at any moment. I was nine, turning ten in early 2005 at the time...ahhh 8 years ago.

The hell gates open, but there's no demonic legion, only one guy with a shotgun. Hell was brought the other way around in Doom.

It was amazing playing this game in 2004 man. My dad had the demo...he had 5.1 surround speakers Dolby Pro Logic II plugged in to his comp...it was scary as hell. The atmosphere was unknown and intense. You could get RAPED at any moment. I was nine, turning ten in early 2005 at the time...ahhh 8 years ago.
