Converse Ready, Set Get Lost: Mac DeMarco "Cooking Up Something Good" Live
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 гру 2024
- Mac DeMarco is quickly establishing himself as Brooklyn's preeminent singer songwriter. The 22 year old and his band visited us at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and planted themselves amid the industrial chaos; what resulted was a warm and gorgeous version of "Cooking Up Something Good, " off his recently released record 2, for our Ready, Set Get Lost series.

I love how high the bass is in the mix...that's how it should be ;)
Probably the best performance of cooking up something good
The one at Pitchfork Music Festival is pretty good as well
This would make for a really fucking cool venue honestly. Actually getting a crowd of people in there and doing a full show would be glorious. Anyway, one of my fav recordings of this song!
damn man, i'm so happy ive found this dude... im listening to him in the car, so happy, floating, acid
OMG this mix is insane so good props to the engineer on this one!!!!
The audio in this shit is soooooo fuckingggggg crisspppppppp omg
Can't stop watching this performance.
Songs is just amazing
amazing guitar work. amazing band made of solid musicians
That guitar is awesome
Oh, yeah!
Mac DeMarco at the Brooklyn Navy Yard cookin' up something good!
at the end "where are we?"
love this version :D
this is great!
His hat reps my hometown.Seattle rocks!
I think this was the best version of Mac's band. Pierce on the P-bass, Mac on his shitty guitar and Peter instead of Andy
+hongdekong I agree but Andy is 10 times better then Peter on guitar
+Flynn Hendry Nah, Pete's solos make me cry with tears of joy. Pete's the fucking OG.
Travis Garman Pete hardly played solos for mac. It wasn't until Andy stepped in where they including long solos in songs that didn't have solos like "let her go" for example
***** Idk man, say what you want, but Andy's vibe doesn't fit with Mac. Pete's 0-fucks-given attitude was great, and worked well with Mac. Andy keeps trying to steal the show away from Mac, and it's pretty fucking annoying
Have you heard homeshake? Peter is one damn fine musician. Its kinda understated but very, very tasteful
keepin it real since 1990
love this tune
so early in Mac's career he didn't shout the 'chewing Nicorette' bit!
check out the safe for work version
SO CATCHY!
Pierce is like the coolest bassist ever haha xD
Loved it.
Sophisticated style
Can't wait for FYF Fest this year! He's gonna he great
Pete got the fisherman swag in this one
I think he wakes up every day and asks himself, "How ridiculous can I look?".
Gotta love him.
man this is so fucking awesome
WOW
PETER CHILLIN IN THE BACK. HOMESHAKE BRUH
A youtube ad I actually enjoyed.
i wuvs it!
bass player looks like the coolest dude
did they make them wear converse for this video??
yeah, fuckin dipshits
So? What's the big deal?
Gogluism the dude is known for wearing red vans as his signature. he only wears vans actually, so does the rest of the band (at least the band in this vid)
I NOTICED THAT p.s. I like this band better than the new one :/
Lucas Lottinger hell yeah, i miss this band, everyone in the new band seems like they're trying to steal mac's spotlight
dude's so fucking cool
by Brooklyn's you mean British Columbia's and now Montreal's?
brooklyn's songwriter? wtf is that supposed to mean?
a songwriter from brooklyn
he's not from brooklyn tho, you goddamn ding dong! why i oughta smack you upside the head for such a comment
don't call me a ding dong you floop
@Jack Castellitto murder
Yeah I don't know I'm pretty sure dude's Canadian but whatevs? 🤷
where are we
uff pikadooooooooooooooo
how the fuck is this guy SO COOL
That's clearly a top of the line Daisy Rock.
the whole band seems so happy tho
gotta pay the billz
fuck man i was waiting for someone to say this
does anyone know what guitar Mac is playing?
2012 was a simpler time
It sure was
@@packetmuncher2404 yes.
lol at Converse assuming everyone is from Brooklyn.
Well he does live in Brooklyn now, afterall.
Dezrt Well I guess when I lived in Spain for awhile I was a Spaniard then.
The description is simply saying he's a talented multi-instrumentalist based out of brooklyn; not necessarily calling him a "brooklynite" or anything. Guess we're on different pages.
Dezrt thank you so much for clarifying -_-
Don't be a dick about it. Obviously we're not going to agree.
finally, mac with decent shoes
So this is what happened to that guy from Free Willy?
Pierces beard makes him look badass he should keep it.
does someone know the compass of this song? is it 6/4? it's weird, dont think it's 4/4.
I think you're right sounds like its 6/4.
no joke
nuyhice!
The music's so good I forgot to look at their shoes.
does any one know where i can get some of the caps that he wears i really like them thanx
seatle
your grandpa
Castaway Skate Ebay or any local thrift store
can someone tell howd they get that 90s effect on the video?
+Haikal Fauzi you mean wear 90s clothes?
+Plooky 😂😂😂
it does not look 90s at all. maybe its just the golden light from the sun
It's just the sun, friend
Esta es la diferencia de cuando no te dubes drogado a un escenario a tocar tus canciones
Man, what the hell is that guitar he's playing?
If you are still here sir it’s a old heit guitar from Japan
Why is this a Converse video? Not complainin
I just thought that hahaha
they're all wearing converse..
uhhhhh Mac is Canadian, not from Brooklyn
machimaro
Lmao "where are we?" Killer track that guitar is too catchy
อยากจะโยกเล็ก^^
That beanie would hold up in court as probable cause for a drug search.
Huh
I don't think converse knows this song is about meth
jajajajajajajaja
xd
I wish Mac still made music like this I hate his electronic shit
Brooklyn's preeminent singer songwriter? What?
geographically challenged description. Preeminent's good though
hipster or homeless? (song's good though)
i dont like his guitar lol
