For the past 7 years, I've consciously embarked on a journey to create a simpler and more peaceful life. I've explored various methods, routines, and habits to achieve this, and most of them have proven to be excellent.
Embracing the principles of slow living and minimalism has played a significant role in simplifying my life. These concepts advocate for a slower pace, decluttering, and a focus on what truly matters. However, despite the positive aspects, I've come to realize that, like any journey, there are areas where I wish I had done things a bit differently.
In sharing my experience, I hope to provide tips for those new to the idea of a simple life. Choosing a simpler lifestyle is a personal decision, and it's essential to find what works best for each individual. The goal is to create a sunny kind of journey, characterized by moments of joy, peace, and a deeper connection to what truly matters 🌱

I love your videos Seve! I’m turning 70 in a couple of days. As I reflect over my life (how did I get this old?) my only regret is that I didn’t live each day as if it were my last. How to do that? Whatever I do, I try to do it with joyful intention-“hey I’m taking out the trash, I get to take out the trash!” Etc. stay fuckin’ awesome!

Great video! A question, do you have a full time job? I'm about to start one and I would like to know how you manage your time

Good question! I have been an entrepreneur/freelancer since 2019 which I would say has given me more liberty than a basic 9-5 job but probably more responsibility and less stability. Before that I was working in regular day jobs though. I have so many tips I could give but this comment section is not enough haha. One big principle I would say is to balance out the work in your free time doing activities that let your body and mind rest. Simple but important ✌🏼

What I lack is balance between my week. Love calm mornings during the working days but then my weekends are hard, full of house shores. Try to stuff the weekend stuff during extended lunch's hours, like shopping for essentials, but then, my work is affected. Then go home tired and cannot do the home shores.

a trick is to just do one thing in the house each day as long as you just do one thing it will all add up over time, and sometimes just doing one thing can lead into like two or three things
No time like the present, so just relax and focus on one task and one task only, it will all add up
another thing would be to extend your habits to include cleanup, it takes a bit of getting used to but you will thank yourself later
like every time yo go to grab something in the kitchen, or something similar, try to pick one mini task to do, like put smt in the bin or similar, think of it as almost a fun little minigame
      best of luck!

Excellent comment above this one. I do exactly that to avoid the overwhelm of having to do everything in one or two days. I spend around 10-20 minutes every day cleaning and tidying up the house, and it works wonders 🙌🏼

Some of the most difficult work in life involves looking inward and seeing what one is doing that is causing unhappiness and stress then determining the best way to deal with it. Very good video on how difficult and tricky this is.
I remember being puzzled the first time I heard the statement “First determine that there is a problem “.
Indeed, that is the hard part.

Yeap, so many times it's hard to see what is the real problem or thing we need to focus on because it's so beneath everything. All the best! 😇

Thanks for this video Seve. Really true especially in the digital silence approach. It's really important.
