Iv been buying cars since 1998 there’s so many lessons I learnt in my early years, so many stories, I have been doing light salvages since 2009 and your advice is good!
Thanks for the kind words 👍 As long as you have checked them over prior ro purchase, and have seen photos of the damage they are fine. Too many get written off for hardly any / no damage sometimes!
Great advice and so true. We specialise in Cat cars and vans. Vans in particular very popular and we have sold, over the years, SIX to a local company. They know we are honourable, do a great job and give a superb warranty. Some are so late that they still carry Dealers Warranty. Choose your car, choose your colour,. In fact choose whatever you want. We will find and repair it and invite ANY specialist examination. One sad point is that finance is not available. 😁
Thanks for the kind words 👍 More and more people are coming into the world of salvage cars. Most repaired cars / vans are actually very good value for money and as long you know what to look for, you'll be fine. Buying from someone like yourselves will save the running around element too. Keep up the good work. What is your company called?
great advice I was being hesitant about a car I'm interested in cos its cat s I put it through vcheck the £4.99 check and it has all the pics and tbh the damage looks very minimal I now know where to really have a hard look highly recomend anyone to check a car first for 4.99 its a no brainer
I'm glad you found the video useful. A lot of people are afraid of buying a categorised car but most repaired cars aren't actually bad. You pay a smaller percentage for the car and in most cases don't lose as much 😎👍
I bought a cat m4. In my eyes I thought I’m going to mod the hell out of this as it’s a track car so why of would I pay the extra premium. No1 would ever be able to tell anyways it’s been repair to such a good level
Firstly you want to see photos of the car prior to its repair as a lot of sellers state 'minor damage' but in fact the cars proper mangled! Make sure the repairs have been done to a good standard. The cars won't be 10/10 but you won't be paying 10/10 money. Drop us a email and I can look through damage photos etc and help where needed 👍
It's very kind of you, thank you for taking the time to reply and the offer! What are things that you completely stay away from? Subframe damage etc? Would you recommend paying for a vehicle inspection? @@PerformanceLifestyles
@XDontConformX even though the subframe itself is replaceable but if the mounting points have been 'moved' then it becomes a pain as the suspension, engine mounts etc won't sit straight. A general AA/RAC style check is a waste of time especially if you know a little about cars. Go for a more specialist. What car is it in question?
@@PerformanceLifestyles I'm looking MK8 Fiesta STs. The category cars are only reduced by around 20% (unsure if it's worth it) I've also read that insurance can be more too 🤷
That’s my old car I bought it and I did it up I sold it to a chap who sold it to you lol can’t believe I just seen it shittest road car u can buy horrible drive but on the track it was untouchable
Yes, but seen more cat s cars without structural damage. It was mainly over the lock down where assessors looked at photos rather than the physical car itself. Do you have one of these?
@@PerformanceLifestyles Yes I bought a cat n, body repaired but wheel in crashed area doesn't sit right. I'm suspecting bent subframe or even worse. Hoping it could be bent knuckle or shock
Never had a problem to be honest. There's this thing people assume insurance will be more expensive but it's just not the case. Have you got a car in mind?
Basically my car was hit from the rear and thereforewas written off by the insurance company. It's 2007 that's their reason, too old to repair. The damage is minor, I was advised to buy it back off the the insurance company fix it and carry on enjoy driving it. We love it as a family, nothing wrong with it whatsoever, toyota. We have been paying peanuts for insurance because of its age, Will it be easy to have it insured? Will insurance go up dramatically?
@nas979 if its very minor damage I'd certainly recommend buying it back and repairing if required. The insurance may increase slightly due to the non fault claim (funny how these companies work) but still shouldn't be much at all. Buy it back and enjoy 👍 Drop us a email if you need any advice 👍
@arsenalfan1653 Copart mate, but you just have to be a little wary as they can pull fast ones at the auction house. Drop me a email if you want any help with finding anything 👍

Thanks mate. I try and sharing my experiences so people don't get stung or think bad of something that isn't actually as bad as its made out to be 👍
Great advice, you have certainly changed my view on Cat N & Cat S Cars Many thanks BRILLIANT Video 😊👍

Ernie Im hoping to buy a salvage car, Do you have a link for your Salavge car sales, ?
@loyalty786 what type of car are you after? Drop me a email.

I wouldn't let it put you off. Just check the repair work properly and try and get photos of the car damaged.

Bro if i buy category s car any problem insurance. And category s its ok to buy
any problem ?
There shouldn't be any problems with insuring one. Some companies ask and some don't. I have personally never had any issues 👍
Question here, what about insurance om these cars?
