I sang the amazing piece in the alto section of South Hills High School Concert Choir in 1970. Never forgot the words to this poem in all these years. It has made a great deal of difference.
The New Hampshire All-State Music Festival featured this piece when I was in high school, right around the same time - 1970, 1971. I still remember my part. I still have the vinyl record album that was produced. The festival was a great experience.
I am currently reading a book that has put Robert Frost’s poem in there, it gave me a flashback of being in my high school choir singing this song for a competition. Thank you for sharing this! 💕
I sang this song in my A capella choir in high school and it has made all the difference to me. It is a great poem and a great message yet so misunderstood. I live by that poem. Mr Frost was genius. But I listened to this and tears came flooding to my eyes. This is exactly how we sang it also. Thank you for posting it. It meant the world to me.
That is exactly how I understand and sharing the same experience. I can recall the entire Seven Seasons and I felt like it links me closer to God when singing. I know not every person can understand the impact being vocally gifted. I was
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I and I- I took the one less traveled by And that has made, has made all the difference Oh, I, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way I doubted if I should ever come back Yet knowing how way leads on to way Shall I come back? I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, and I- I took the one less traveled by And that has made, has made all the difference

This is so beautiful. I listen to it over and over.
This is so beautiful I am very happy that Robert Frost let his poem become a song!
Take me back to 1966-67 and Goose AFB of all places.
