Glad I could help. Went through the same trouble and thought I would put it up after I figured it out. I also posted how to prevent corrupting the config file. ua-cam.com/video/aX3I6qYkJIg/v-deo.html
It kept happening to me until I turned off auto-saving the config on close. This video shows how. ua-cam.com/video/aX3I6qYkJIg/v-deo.htmlsi=O-F_UdnfjZ6WNmhk
You are the Best , a life saver.... Thanks MAn , love you..... While configuring the playstation controller I did not configure the select button and was going in cycles as could not select anything in retroarch. Your video helped me.
After deleting the config file, when you restart Retroarch, it will re-create the config file. If you deleted more than that file, you may have to re-install Retroarch.
This also works with jail broken PS4 running Retro Arch got stuck on black screen. Just delete the config file and then load cores if you don't have them .🎉
Couple of options: 1. Reinstall Retroarch. 2. If you have a PC, connect to the PS3 over FTP using FileZilla, and check the same files in the video from there.
That file can get corrupted. To reduce the risk of it happening again, turn off auto save configuration file on close. Jump to 4:40 in this video to do that: ua-cam.com/video/aX3I6qYkJIg/v-deo.html

For those of you who this doesn't quite work for whatever reason, delete retroarch from the xmb then reinstall, worked for me!
It will do the same thing sooner or later.
I don't have the SSNE folder, but the actual RetroArch folder. Should I delete the config in there?
You sound tired dude. That's probably effort it takes from making videos like this to help us chumps out. Thanks - mine's back working again now 👍
Lol. Thanks man. Just gotta get more sleep.
Thanks brother I could not figure out why it wasn't working thanks to your video I'm good

It worked thanks!
What if you don't have a folder name that says SSNE1000?
You may have to search a bit. It may have "Retro" in the name. It will be a folder that looks different than all your PS3 game folders.
How do I get retroarch on my games. I deleted it but I still have the files. Please let me know thank you
