Woohoo!!!! Thanks for experimenting and telling us your results. I've got two amaryllis plants that are currently developing seeds, based on your prior video. Will be watching closely to see how yours do!
So excited ❤ I did the pollination after your video showing how to pollinate them. The seed pod is currently growing. Can't wait to follow your progress and try it myself. ❤❤❤
For those that have not seen any sprouts from Amaryllis seeds floating in water, it took more than 7 weeks for me to see sprouts and now I have moved sprouts to fill a 1020 tray. As always, thanks for sharing!
Yay!! the first sign of life is always exciting when you are germinating seeds. Thanks for sharing this fun experiment with us. Looking forward to seeing the results with the rest of the amaryllis seeds you've collected and germinated.
This is so exciting! I have an amaryllis that I am letting go to seed right now but the seeds are not quite ready. I was inspired by your UA-cam video! I’ll be eagerly awaiting the results of your sprouting experiment!!!
One of my first graders got me an amaryllis as a gift. I left it at school and they were so excited to check it each day to see how it grew. We’ve had 4 in total now and I’ve been using your videos to try and get some seeds so they can each, hopefully, take a little sprout home. Thank you for all the information!
Thank you for sharing it. I have a bunch of amaryllis seeds and was wondering how to grow them…perfect timing. Your blouse is so pretty and it looks gorgeous on you.
Because of your videos and your love of Amaryllis, I actually took a paintbrush to try and pollinate my amaryllis flower to get it to have that seed neck at the base of the flower and hopefully I’ve succeeded. I’ll find out I guess in the next couple of weeks. I love your videos!
I have had thee to bloom seeds. U have to put them in water for about 3 weeks or more. You need to add water from time to time. And move the seeds around. As if a duck was swimming. But moving and fresh water is the key.. Ur is just beginning. They should be two to three inches in growth as if they were in soil. Then transplant them to small pots and watch them grow. My second year have bloomed and are two feet tall. My last year are only about six to eight inches tall. If you have a fifth bloom look for seeds. Happy growing
I was like wait it’s march 27th? And quickly look at my calendar and it’s March 26 /2024 today and I realize tomorrow would be a year from now since you post this video 😂
So happy for you and for sharing this! You look so happy and very pretty in such a lovely spring blouse.

It can take up to 13 years from a amaryllis seed to flower.
I collected seed last year but never planted it. I've heard it needs to be fresh. Is one year old seed still viable?
I’m floating some seeds from last year. I figured I have nothing to lose.
