A little thing about Sora bowing to Saix. In Japan that is a type of bow called Dogeza which is for when you've really messed up. Basically Sora was saying he was worth nothing and willing to put shame and humiliation on himself so adds a whole nother level of douche to Saix for still saying no to taking him to Kairi.
+NicoB The Heartless Invasion is definitely one of the most epic moments in this game. Also, first Organization member from this game down. Quite a few more to go.
Let's play KH1. Everyone hyped up everlasting darkness. Nico fought him on episode 14. Let's play KH2. Every one hyped up dance water dance. Nico fought him on epidode 14. COINCIDENCE?! I THINK NOT!
11:30 welcome to the cavern of rememberance. where the battle level is 99. and you need all drive forms maxed out to get through it. This is where you will spend most of the post game.
Hey Nico, the actual meaning of that whole scene with Sora getting on his knees for Saix (around 1:12:20) is actually pretty sad. Ironically, the bow Sora is doing for Saix is actually just as bad as if Sora, as you said, had "sucked his d***". I found a post on the internet and it really gives that whole scene a lot more meaning. (I copy pasted it here): Because there’s quite a few things that get lost in translation with these games, but none of those instances ever hit me as hard as this one always does. I’m not even kidding, my heart rips apart every time I see this, I’m almost crying just thinking about it. Okay, so of course-like every country-Japan has it’s own code of etiquette, and one of the most ingrained ways of showing respect to others is bowing. It’s a reflection of how important deferring to others is in Japanese culture-acknowledging those who have seniority in something or are your superior in any way should be like second nature. Bowing can have all sorts of degrees of formality to it, from a casual nod of the head, to a full 45 degree bend from the waist, but rarely do you ever see anyone bow deeper than that. What Sora’s doing up there? That’s called Dogeza (土下座). It’s the absolute lowest you can get. I have personally never seen anyone do this, and for good reason-you don’t do it unless you’ve REALLY messed up. You do it to say sorry-it’s the equivalent of begging, really begging for forgiveness. Dogeza is shameful, it’s humiliating, it’s absolute submission, and that’s the whole point of doing it. It’s willingly putting shame and humiliation on yourself, actively showing complete reverence to someone else. You are literally saying you are worth nothing. Sora is basically offering himself on a silver platter here. Saix could’ve probably asked Sora to do anything he wanted, and Sora probably would’ve done it. Which makes it all the more insulting and heart-breaking when Saix says he still can’t see Kairi.
+Rukasu Mizukiyo Well since Mickey's keyblade is golden that means Teddy is the endgame boss, because Teddy=Mickey. And he shall be called King Lingering Izanami Mickey Bear.
I'm honestly thinking Nico should probably just skip 358/2 days and just go to BBS after he's done with this game. For one, Days doesn't really explain a whole lot aside from what happened to Roxas. BBS does a hell of a lot more for the overarching story. Second, Nico would probably want to actually PLAY Days instead of watch it, so he should wait until he gets the 3DS capture card before he does Days or Recoded.
1:17:02 The Heartless would never align with someone like Sora, because he's aligned with the light. They willingly serve people like Maleficent because she's aligned with the darkness, and Nobodies skirt the edges of both, so they're cool with serving the Organization so long as they're strong enough. Also, go to the Land of Dragons to start. Like, doing the journey from the beginning and such.
+gerry charles Wrong. The heartless fear the power of the keyblade, but the keyblades themselves have an alignment that matches that of their wielder. Remember, Riku had a keyblade and could command the heartless in kh 1.
+roxasthegreek Yeah, I'm gonna have to correct you. That wasn't a Keyblade. It was just a weapon given to Riku by Maleficent formed from the darkness in his heart. He hadn't earned his Keyblade at that time. Especially since Sora proved to be more worthy during that moment.
Mr. Couver But the keyblade sora wielded from the start of the game till that face off was essentially rikus. So riku technically was a keyblade wielder at the time
Okay let's clear up things spoiler free. Kingdom Hearts: A blue heart shaped moon. The Heart of all worlds, where every heart comes from and every heart goes. When a Heartless is defeated by a Keyblade or someone loses their heart but doesn't succumb to darkness, the heart flies away and weaves back into Kingdom Hearts, as Kingdom Hearts is just merely a giant fusion of many hearts. Ansem the Wise/Xehanort: A while back, warriors with keyshaped weapons fought a large battle. At the end of it, all that was left was an man with amnesia, who was taken in by the king of Hollow Bastion, Ansem the Wise. The man, Xehanort, at some point became Ansem's apprentice. For reasons unknown at this point in time, he grew an interest in darkness and hearts. He began experiments under the heart under the stolen name of Ansem, which became the Ansem Reports from KH1. At some point in time, he lost his heart and body which became the Heartless known as Ansem Seeker of Darkness, and the Nobody Xemnas.
Xemnas created the Organization, but some members never remained truly convinced of the goal he presented them. Occasionally he could be found in the basement of Hollow Bastion's castle, The Chamber of Repose, talking to an empty suit of armor with a key shaped weapon, which he refers to as a "friend". Rumors broke out amongst some members of the Organization that the Chamber of Repose came in a pair, and that there was another chamber with Xemnas's other "friend" in the mysterious Castle Oblivion.
+Jordan Dominguez I kinda figured Kingdom Hearts was just a bunch of hearts sewn together. Otherwise why would Organization XIII be collecting hearts just to go to a place. Turns out you have to *make* Kingdom Hearts.
+Jordan Dominguez I've actually heard it argued that we haven't even _seen_ the true Kingdom Hearts, and what we think is Kingdom Hearts, isn't really it at all.
Call me cruel, but I wanted Nico to die during the Battle of a 1000 Heartless at the 999 Heartless just for him to restart. The only way Kingdom Hearts 3 can top this epic scene is a Battle of 10000 Heartless!
21:05 To be fair nico, if i saw a army fighting final fantasy characters, i would say donald, goofy go get some popcorn, i'm a, i'm a stay here and watch.
To summarize all the story bits we learned today: Xehanort, Ansem the Wise's apprentice, worked on experiments that dealt with the darkness in people's hearts. Ansem the Wise forbid those experiments, but Xehanort and the other five apprentices worked on them anyway. Eventually, they turned on their master, and all six of them eventually became Nobodies and created the Organization. Xehanort took his old master's name and continued his work as both a Heartless and a Nobody. The Organization's plan is clear. They want to create Kingdom Hearts, which is the heart of all worlds, in order to get their hearts back and "truly, finally exist". In order to do this, they're using Sora's Keyblade to farm hearts for them which they then will use to complete it. Ansem Seeker of Darkness, Xehanort's Heartless, tried to do the same with a different method: find Kingdom Hearts inside the Realm of Darkness. His plan didn't work, as Sora called forth Kingdom Hearts's light and destroyed him. On another note, Xemnas, Xehanort's Nobody, built a little room in the back of the place where they did all of their experiments. He sits in a chair in that room and talks to a pile of armor on the floor with a Keyblade next to it, calling it his "friend". That room is called the Chamber of Repose. There's another room, the Chamber of Waking, that is located inside Castle Oblivion. There, Xemnas "will find his other 'friend'", which is the reason he has such an interest in that castle in the first place. He's unable to find it, though, as it was "constructed by someone other than Xemnas himself".
+CTOONfan1 Don't forget that Ansem called himself DiZ, and that he seeks revenge, most likely against his former apprentices. To that end, 'Ansem', who for simplicity's sake has been nicknamed Ansem SoD (Seeker of Darkness, since that's how he introduced himself in the first game), kidnapped and hid Roxas while Naminé restored Sora's memories. And yes, they did end up moving Sora from Castle Oblivion to Twilight Town.
The infamous boss battle is upon us. Time to watch Nico breeze through this shit, enraging all the people who struggled with him xD _just kidding, time will tell_
senpaishome yeah you can only beat him by being op.... oh wait.... *looks at Save File of the original KH2 where i fought Demyx extremely underleveled because there was no level 1 run in the original and still beat him easily.*
+senpaishome You know the channels Bizkit047 and Everglow...they are literally gods of KH in terms of their skills....especially Bizkit047 since he speedruns KH and I think he has the world record????
+ShutUpAdachi That's the one game i'm waiting or the most, as i've not seen anything of it. And to reach that Nico has to play 1 more game and watch 2 movies (or play them). ...it will take a while...
+PassingDem0n You might as well just go and play it. It's a great time. It's my favorite game gameplay-wise, and the story is confusing as balls but it makes up for it.
Yoshiguy567 Q_Q... No N3DS, and don't wanna watch how others play it. Unless it's Nico The river that i'm gonna cry will sink everyone to oblivion... Q_Q!
+ShutUpAdachi Script writers: "So, how should we make the series even *MORE* confusing?" Nomura: "How about complicated time travel?" Script Writers: "GENIUS."
+Robert Wright (Wriime Entertainment) yeah i thought the time travel thing was komeada grade bullshit but im guessing they did it to tie up some loose ends before releasing kh 2.8 with bbs volume two. Also for kh3 plot reasons
2:20 Yeah, the Nobodies in general are stronger and more dangerous than their Heartless equivalents. 3:02 Probably decided Sora's a better target to go after. 3:40 These big guys are called Crimson Jazzes. They're funny dudes in that they're fire-aligned Heartless like the Red Nocturnes, just much bigger and more dangerous in general. 14:51 These guys (girls?) are called Dancers. They're brighter and more vibrant than a lot of Nobodies and look noticeably feminine. They're also noted as being subordinate to Demyx, and that just brings to mind the image of him playing music for these dudes to dance to.
31:00 If your apprentice is named Xehanort, you just need to accept that he will turn evil someday. Nobody with that kind of name can stay good for long.
Joel mccomb If uou haven't played Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days you won't get it,and you're better off that way. We'll get to that once Nico does the next Kingdom Hearts game, which comes right after 2.
Originally, the 1000 heartless fight included the wyvern heartless and the "final" boss of Hollow Bastion, that large four legged creature with it's only weakness being it's horn. But because of the limits of the PS2, they couldn't put them in without the game lagging to hell.
jthedog stuff like this makes me wonder why they didn’t just develop this for PlayStation 3 especially since Sony had told 3rd party developers that it was planned to launch in Spring 2006
39:22 Can I just say that I really like this moment? It's just kind of a moment where you get to see that the Organization members really are faking those emotions they claim to have. Even a cowardly goofball like this is an extremely dangerous opponent when he drops his facade. 41:10 Yeah, pretty much. Poorly timed reaction commands can be the death of you. Oh, also, since I did this before: Demyx, No. IX (9), the Melodious Nocturne. His element is, well, obviously water, and his weapon is a sitar. Despite acting like very casually and maintaining the appearance of a coward and a joke, he's just as dangerous as the other Organization members and can absolutely murder the unprepared. 45:40 And so dies the first Organization member of this game. Only about....six or so more to go, I believe.
Gosh I really wish Nico wasn't so overleveled for these fights. Them being significantly easier now is gonna hurt him later. Anyways Nico, the scene with Xemnas to Zexion is basically a homage to Birth by Sleep. So you literally won't have any clue to what he's talking about. So when you finish BBS, rewatch the scene and feel all kinds of goosebumps.
+Ryan Lander We said that in Kingdom Hearts 1 and he proved us wrong. XD Well... until the optional bosses. But yeah, I'm pretty sure he'll be alright in the longrun.
+Rukasu Mizukiyo Ugh.... God I hate that fight, I think that and OHKO bullshit fights are the most annoying and.... engaging fights in this game. Also, I'm curious, does anyone know (Now that BBS was mentioned) how did they handle the last enemy in the MP area? I mean, the PSP game made sense but you either have to cheat in SP or do it the right way in MP to beat that a****le. Just wondering.
1:18:32 awww Leon is like a big brother to Sora in this game. It's actually a bit sweet how much he worries about him. (it's even better in the Manga, where he kinda goes into a breakdown if he fails to protect them)
18:27 Lion: "think you can handle this many?" Cloud: "well, might be tough if one more shows up." Lion:" Then that will have to be the one I take care off" 19:20 Sephirot appears Cloud: "there is your "one more" go take care off him" Lion: "FUCK ME SIDEWAYS"
**Drives by on a tour bus carrying a bunch of random people** And here is where Nico's brain exploded from information overload and could not recover from the overall epicness this game presented to him in such a short amount of time . . . And here you can see the Donald Duck Hunt game, LOOK, there's someone trying to beat the game now . . . "I GOT IT!!!!!!" **BANG** **Goofy emerges from the grass mocking and laughing at the player for missing** "Light" Counter: 31 (105) "Darkness" Counter: 47 (278) "Heart" Counter: 76 (376)
+Kazuichi “The Prince Charming” Souda *draws two eyes on your closed eyelids to make it look like your still awake* Perfect. Couldn't tell the difference if I tried. XD
Leon: The King's in the bailey! Sora: Who's Bailey Goofy: Sora, surely you know what a bailey is? Sora: No I don't know who Bailey is, and who's this Shirley girl? Demyx: DANCE WATER- Leon: Not yet! Demyx: ;_;
You can always use Stitch for boss fights. That way you get benefits without going antiform. Plus he take almost all your attacks and heals your mp occasionally.
Now ONCE AGAIN, the Demyx fight (that is his name) is not that hard. BUT it does have a difficulty spike to it that most players were not prepared for. Also this is what I consider the mid point and when the next part of the game begins to get harder. But anyways This is Demyx, has control over water, has a Sitar that I can't remember the name currently, and is also number 9 in the organization. And as you probably see he was tougher then anything you faced because you died a few times to him then compared to the previous bosses. Which just means there are EVEN MORE tougher enemies then that!
omg I was rewatching some LPs and I realized that this was the first video that popped up in my recommendations and introduced me to Nico. And as it turns out it was exactly 4 years ago, wow. You'll probably never read this comment bc it's an old video but you've been a great company through some tough times, I love you man.
I don't care what nobody says, 1:12;36 is the BEST part of this playthrough so far! And I love how Nico called it. Also, yeah, time to go through all the world's again for a second time. Remember Nico, whenever you see the world's title card again, it means you completed everything story-wise in that world, which is why you don't have to go back to Disney Castle.
Also Nico don't worry... NO ONE but Numura knows what Kingdom Hearts is! KH3 is supposed to tell us all what Kingdom Hearts really is, so for now just keep playing.
Kevin Carroll We probably will anyway! But at least we will know what happens to Xeahonort, and what KH is exactly. LOL! Watch the internet and the world pester Numora for KH4. XD
Kevin Carroll We already know the vague idea of what KH is. And for now lets just relax, sit back watch Nico play KH and wait for E3 this year which is literally in about three weeks from now. And when KH 2.8 comes out lets play the shit out of it. KH3 is on the way I can feel it, and all the answers tow hat KH is will be revealed just like what Numora promised.
well i always thought kingdom hearts to be a bad thing, since the villains of Kh are always trying to acquire it. but i mean, its kinda funny that this all the knowledge we have of the actual kingdom hearts. its like were playing Halo but we dont know what the halo is.
1:06:36 - 1:08:31 Moments like this are why I love Nico B’s let’s plays. He adds so much to the experience and it helps him stand out so much, it's great. Not just Kingdom Hearts, but one of my favorite lets plays of all time. Up there with TFS Krillin Plays Outlast. Great work dude.
Let recap the Drive form by their good or bad Valor form Good -Dual wield keyblade -Ground combo -High jump Bad -Can't guard -No magic Wisdom form Good -Strong Magic -Keyblade shoot bullet -Slide dash Bad -Weak strength -Using MP for Magic -Can't guard Limit form Good -old school Kh1 Sora -Using Limit will heal Sora -guard - Dodge roll Bad -no magic -using limit gave you a little invisibility frame Master form Good -Dual wield keyblade -Air combo -endless Magic (aka spamming magic) -Air dodge(aka double jump) Bad -No ground combo -still no guard Anti form Good -combo a enemy's will be stun and can't react Bad -No guard -Weak strength -can't heal -No magic -summing anti form will be random -bad timing while fight boss fight I hope you like the list :)
It's interesting to come back and watch these now knowing so much more about what's going on with the lore. There's so many layers upon layers it unreal, but once you grasp everything you can pick up on all the little subtle nods.
Ahhhhh, the sound of a sitar playing for water to dance... It brings back raging and despairing childhood memories when I thought he was the hardest character to fight... Then I soon cried in despair after fighting harder characters.
Don't worry Nico, most of that stuff with Xemnas was supposed to reference Birth by Sleep. It'll make more sense when you play that game. Also Xehanort is the fake Ansem's real name, but when he took Ansem's name he kept it and named his Nobody after it.
Ya know, with all these extra Organization scenes, it seems like they expected you to have played/beaten BBS first. Guess you'll just have to wait till then to understand these scenes, Nico. And EPIC THOUSAND HEARTLESS BATTLE!! I was waiting for that for SO long!
NICO! You're so lucky, I've never seen that! Your damage output near the end was so high Demyx didn't get to do his 100 Water Clone move that usually kills everyone.
Riku's Road to Dawn I never delete my comments. At the very least, you can ask me nicely to put a spoiler warning next to it. I didn't even really think about it being a spoiler since I wasn't talking directly to Nico and YTWeewer seemed to have already played the game, but I guess Nico could read it accidentally and put two and two together, so I'll put a warning next to it. You still need to calm down though.
***** It dosen't matter who you were talking too, you put the comment on Nico's video and he has people looking through the comments, so if they see your comment you're gonna get banned. I don't need to calm down just because I typed spoilers in cap locks, I did that so people know your comment is a spoiler above my own lol
1:00:00-1:07:50 The definition of "Show, don't tell." Or perhaps, "Feel, don't show." This game went and SHOWED us how powerful Sora has become. But not through a cutscene of Sora killing a thousand heartless, but by making you, the player, actually physically do it. You FEEL that power as your own, creating a whole new level of storytelling immersion. And this, my fellow gamers, is why video games can be such an excellent medium for storytelling. Moreover, this game does a great job of SHOWING just how grand a scale this new war is being waged on. This army of a thousand heartless (that YOU single-handedly defeated, by the way,) is just a small fraction of the Heartless army you've been fighting and will continue to fight, to say nothing of the Nobody army that's also dogging you. It's great. :D
Sometimes when I'm just listening to the KH playthroughs, I start imagining Nico as this little dude riding on Sora's shoulder a la jimminy cricket, and it makes everything so much funnier.
Well then _Where's the fun in this..._ The second visits are kinda short except for Olympus Coliseum i think. only 25 minute-ish, so i'd say go to Beast's Castle and Agrabah next. Especially Beast's Castle since you get something PRETTY useful there. You're not invincible when Reflect's explosion happens, btw. And try using magic a lot in Master form, since you can basically spam it in that form.
+Irfan Fakhrianto I actually thought Olympus coliseum 2nd visit was one of the shortest. Port royal second visit is a good length, along with Agrabah in my opinion (:
THIS VIDEO RIGHT HERE, this has been the moment I've been waiting for ever since you started Kingdom Hearts initially, and goodness gracious /this was absolutely glorious/ ...and now to wait to see how Nico fares with the other bosses that everyone and their mother failed multiple times on. Good luck, dude o/
RockingtheRaikou During the main part of the game, yeah sure. Nothing that interesting was happening. I personally see where your coming from. The missions were kinda....ehhh. And I disliked the game play. And it was the same missions over and over. It was really the last bit of story that got me getting the feels. The emotional struggle of the characters, and *cough* *cough* the ending.
37:42 To sum up what this guy, Xigbar, was talking about... Xemnas - or rather, his original self, Xehanort - had a special room built in the Chamber of Repose, where he talks to that old armor and Keyblade, which he refers to as his "friend". Xigbar then points out that Castle Oblivion holds a similar place called the Chamber of Waking, where another "friend" of Xehanort's is at. So the main goal of the Castle Oblivion mission was to find that Chamber.
Demyx is a fun boss imo He's not very resilient so you can totally take him down if you beat on him hard enough but actually getting to him is the real issue His attacks are have such a huge AOE and they hit like a truck Also, fun fact, I only recently realized that his variance in personality has to do with the water element representing change and variability! The More You Know~
Demyx isn't 'hard' per se, but he is the first time in the story that you fight a member of Organization XIII for real (without cards, anyway), so I think they ramped up his damage a bit to impress upon you how badass these guys are. Even a wimpy, laid-back jokester like Demyx will mess you up once he drops the act and starts playing for keeps. I remember him being my first death the first time I played this game - he had NO qualms about air-juggling me with water spells until my HP was gone. XD
I might be in minority, but as a previously-not-but-now-subscriber, these long videos are exactly what made me stay, so full of awesome, and of such quality, please never change Nico
Sephiroth: I am you. Cloud: No. It can't be. You're not m- Sephiroth: Really? Has Finnley really made this joke? Cloud: What are you talking about? S.: Darkness inside, "I am you", he is clearly ripping off Persona 4. Cloud: Well, what joke would YOU use?! S.:....
Cloud: Well, might be tough if one more shows up. Squall: Then that'll have to be the one I take care of. -Sephrioth appears- Cloud: Good luck, Squall.
Non-spoiler explanations WITH TIME STAMPS! Just to warn you, this is a LONG post. The majority of the stuff in this post are either fun facts, stuff that was already shown/explained in this and in previous videos that I'm just elaborating, and/or is stuff that Nico already guessed. Some of the stuff on this list was already pointed out by other people in the comments, but I decided to add them anyway. If there is stuff you think that crosses the spoiler line, please tell me. 7:00 The Platinum Match in Kingdom Hearts 1 is not considered canon, unfortunately. 7:42 Fun fact, the "One-Winged Angel" title originally referred to the Safer Sephiroth form. However, when Sephiroth appeared in KH1 with the wing on his back, something that the creators of FF7 never thought of, said creators liked the idea so much, they essentially retconned the original meaning of the title to the idea made by KH1. As for the wings on his legs... THEY are a reference to the Safer Sephiroth form, where the wings REPLACED his legs. 11:26 And the Cavern of Remembrance has claimed it's first life in this play through... 18:09 According to KH Wiki, the Gullwings were designed that way because Nomura wanted to have Final Fantasy characters appear in a "non-human form that still appeared human". He chose the fairy designs because he thought it would look interesting and because he believed that the screen would be too crowded if it focused on all three of them at once if they were in their original human forms Also, there is concept art of KH style Rikku as a human because she was originally going to have a solo appearance in KH1 as part of Leon's gang. This was scrapped because we already had the similarly named Riku, so she was replaced with Yuffie, who was given a modified version of Rikku's concept outfit. 18:22 I know people in the comments have already made this joke but... Leon: MY GAME IS BETTER! Cloud: No, MY GAME IS BETTER! Heartless: Guys, what about Final Fantasy IX? Leon & Cloud: NOBODY ASKED YOU! 19:02 "I thought Cloud was going to use his sword from the movie." He is. If one were to pay close attention to any of the close-ups on the part of the blade below to guard, such as at 20:00, one would see that it really is the Fusion Sword from Advent Children under those bandages. 19:58 "What past is he referring to?" We don't actually know. They could be referring to the original FF7 or (more likely) they could be referring to an alternate story that would be friendlier to an E+10 audience. 29:32 Not-so-fun fact, you can't go through that trap door as Sora without hacking the game. You can visit the area the trap door is in, but the door is not accessible. 32:07 Since this was clearly in view of audience, it's not a spoiler to point out that a Keyblade was stuck into the ground on the left side of the screen and the metal stuff on the floor was armor. 36:08 They were always called Organization 13 and they always intended on getting 13 members. The reason why, however, is a spoiler. 36:38 Since you already know the names, and how they are related, I can explain it. Ansem the Wise had Xehanort as his apprentice. Xehanort gave Ansem the Wise the boot and stole his name. Under his former master's name, Xehanort conducted more Heartless experiments before turning himself and his fellow apprentices into Heartless and Nobodies. His Heartless took on the name "Ansem, Seeker of Darkness" (Ansem SoD), and his Nobody took on the name Xemnas (Ansem with an "X" in it). 37:17 As stated in the cutscenes, The Chamber of Repose is a room Xemnas constructed to contain his "friend", the armor and Keyblade from 32:07. The Chamber of Waking is a room hidden somewhere in Castle Oblivion that was constructed by somebody else sometime before the Chamber of Repose was. The Chamber of Waking also happens to contain another "friend". 44:52 I'm going to be honest, I had a HUGE amount of trouble with this fight back when I first played the game on the PS2 many years ago. And that was on Normal mode. This is the first time you played the game, and you beat this guy on your third try on Critical. Holy crap. 53:47 That second castle is Villains Vale, a castle Maleficent constructed. The castle in the city proper is the castle from the first game, but with all of the heart/light/dark/heart/bark removed. In fact, if you reach the final area of the Cavern of Remembrance, you can see the castle from another angle where it looks almost exactly like it did from the first game. Seriously, when I first saw Ansem's castle from the final room in Cavern of Remembrance, I thought I was seeing a ghost. 59:23 Correct! This scene was pre-rendered on the PS2 and simply ported for the PS3 remaster. Eagle-eyed viewers could notice this because of the lower resolution and the fact Sora wields Kingdom Key and not the Keyblade the player equipped. 59:53 Fun fact (if I remember correctly), the PS2 could not render all 1000 Heartless at once as interactible enemies. So the battle was programmed specifically so that the enemies within a certain range of Sora would be completely loaded in, while the enemies further away would only have the bare essentials loaded in. 1:14:13 I had to overcome some personal demons to understand this. Kingdom Hearts is a realm and/or entity, usually taking the form of a moon, and is the source of all light and is the heart of all worlds. Think essentially an analogue of heaven. Everything that follows is what I could gather from KH Wiki. In KH1, Ansem SoD collected the hearts of worlds consumed by the Heartless to create an artificial Kingdom Hearts (Kingdom Hearts of Worlds' Hearts). This artificial Kingdom Hearts resided in the Realm of Darkness. The Door to Darkness was mearly a gateway to the Realm of Darkness. The bright light that killed Ansem SoD was Kingdom Hearts, but it appears that once he was defeated, the artificial Kingdom Hearts dissipated, leaving the Door to Darkness just sitting pretty so that the Heartless could just pour through, which is why it needed to be sealed. In KH2, Xemnas wants to collect the hearts of people to create another artificial Kingdom Hearts (Kingdom Hearts of People's Hearts). 1:16:58 Someone else already explained this, but I might as well include it here as well. Anyone with a strong connection to the darkness can control the Heartless. When two beings with strong dark ties attempt to control the Heartless at the same time, the Heartless follow whoever is more powerful. The Heartless do not follow Sora because he has close ties to the light. 1:18:06 That's it. Get a stack of sticky notes. From now on, when you have something new to read or look up or whatever, write it down on the sticky notes. We can't trust you to remember stuff in the middle of +1-hour episodes anymore. 1:24:37 Okay, last one. Next time you are on the world map, fly your ship as far "north" as it will go. Look carefully. I hope I was more of a help than I was a nuisance! XD
his pure heart? are we talking about the same person this is a kid who kills anything without questioning his motives xD like ill never understand why this game puts sora as the perfect pure light child that he obviously isnt...
+Flower Song Sora's heart is not pure. To be fair though, he only kills heartless and people who attack him first or if other innocent people are being attacked.
Sofaris The most common heartless is that type. In other words... Sora has the same level of Darkness in his heart as the average "good" person. He is not Pure.
My brain literally can't keep up with the amount of epic shit that happens in this one video...
Does epic shit happen in most of your videos tho?
I need popcorn for this!
+SleepyPumpkin *summons popcorn machine and a bagof popcorn* there you go bruh
+megzarie Dude, I feel so pumped! Lets do this!
+NicoB The Heartless Invasion is definitely one of the most epic moments in this game. Also, first Organization member from this game down. Quite a few more to go.
18:28
Leon: MY GAME WAS BETTER!
Cloud: NO MINE WAS!
Heartless: GUYS WHAT ABOUT FINAL FANTASY 9?!
Cloud and Leon: NO ONE ASKED YOU!
No cloud nor squall shall hinder us.
+soul shield Didn't think anyone else here watched Everything Wrong With!
+soul shield looks like someone saw that everything wrong with video
+soul shield Ohhhhhhhh that video!
+soul shield XD lol I know where you got that from. #keykeepers4thewin!
Actually Xemnas is just Mansex swapped around
+Erin Johnston yes our dear Lord MANSEX
+Erin Johnston I actually wrote this same comment back in the CoM LP
Maya where did you come from?!
Salos TheSalamander
good thing he didn't read that then, by that time Xemnas wasn't a name he was supposed to know just yet
+Rukasu Mizukiyo I hear ya
It has been a long time since i played any KH game so i forgot when he was first mentioned :P
Xehanort
X ehanort
X another
X no heart
X no earth
Make of that what you will.
Never noticed that XD. So many meanings a name could have.
+Kimberly Ng Huh. "Another" was the password to that computer. Interesting.
+Monique Kalu
So, does that mean we have ANOTHER guy like him!?
jthedog
**snickers**
No Heart. Lmao
Just gonna cry in a corner now
**sees that this video was uploaded**
**giggles a lot**
Nico: "I'm not gonna have to fight all of them am I?"
**GIGGGLING INTENSIFIES**
I was waiting for this moment so much
+Rukasu Mizukiyo Enjoy. Try not to giggle so much that you pass out from lack of oxygen. :D
+Rukasu Mizukiyo Same but imagine the boss fight in Beasts World... Sephiroth... Or THAT armour
+Rukasu Mizukiyo same
+axlorg89 don't bring up that armour.....*Shivers*
Let's play KH1. Everyone hyped up everlasting darkness.
Nico fought him on episode 14.
Let's play KH2. Every one hyped up dance water dance.
Nico fought him on epidode 14.
COINCIDENCE?! I THINK NOT!
And Nico stomped both of them without breaking a sweat
#BullshitpowersGO
+soul shield Does that mean Half-Life 3 is confirmed also?
+Xain Reaper
Did you see him fight Demyx? He died like three times.
jthedog Well, compared to everyone else?
+Xain Reaper
He died unlike everyone else that isn't a optional fight.
11:30 welcome to the cavern of rememberance.
where the battle level is 99.
and you need all drive forms maxed out to get through it.
This is where you will spend most of the post game.
+soul shield yea, the nemies at the end can easily kill a lv 70 sora on hard
This area is meant for post game after all
knowing Nico he'll probably clear it at around level 80
But it would take him around 66 hours to get to level 80 and 20 more to get to level 99!
@@Dullsonic3 if you use the right keyblades and abilities in wtnw, you can get to level 99 in like 12 hours
(I copy pasted it here):
Because there’s quite a few things that get lost in translation with these games, but none of those instances ever hit me as hard as this one always does.
+Jo of Anna (Joofanna) Wow, i'll never watch that scene the same again.
1:08:27 Goofy burned Donald so hard that Nico's death counter went up.
+KingOfStillwater Boss
No idea. Seems like an editing mistake.
KingOfStillwater Boss maybe he died laughing
Sephiroth: Because... I am you...
Cloud: NO YOU'RE NOT ME
*I'LL FACE MYSELF BLARES IN THE BACKGROUND*
I'm sorry if someone already made this joke.
+The Walrus Queen Persona 4: Kingdom Hearts edition
+LadyPsychic King's Gamedom Hearts
+The Walrus Queen Kingdom Persona Hearts 4: The Golden Keyblade
+Rukasu Mizukiyo Well since Mickey's keyblade is golden that means Teddy is the endgame boss, because Teddy=Mickey. And he shall be called King Lingering Izanami Mickey Bear.
+Giolucario If Teddy is Mickey, then who is Naoto?
I am fairly certain none of this makes sense until Birth By Sleep... Well, sense is such a strong word....
+criticalmess34 No, it's cleared up pretty well in Birth By Sleep.
+Xain Russell he should watch the movie thing though
+Xain Russell Nah, he should experience Days. The movie would be preferable.
+NorthernSpade the only reason I think he should maybe play it, is for some of those ridiculously hard and time consuming bosses. >:)
So riku technically was a keyblade wielder at the time
Kevin Carroll Roxas is Sora's Nobody. Wielding the Keyblade is natural to him because he's already apart of Sora. Pretty sure that doesn't count.
SETTING THINGS STRAIGHT:
BBS.
All I need to say.
Sephiroth: Because I am you.
Persona world for Kingdom Hearts 3 confirmed.
52:01
Sephiroth: You can fly?!
Cloud: No. Jump good.

Good old samurai jack

Except for Tadashi

What about that firefly?
OH SHIT WAIT _GOOFY _*_IS_*_ A PARENT!_
So, am I the only one who's pumped for the Thousand Heartless battle and not just DANCE WATER DANCE? No? Just me? Ok
me too! XD
1000 heartless is one of big reason this battle is so epic!
same here! I listen to it always when I'm doing a school project and I need to focus xD
+Sora Hikari (Yosuke) NAWWW!! You AIN'T ALONE!!! WHOOO~! lol
One of the best moments of childhood!!
+Sora Hikari (Yosuke) Everybody's pumped for that. It makes Sora look like a badass alongside everyone else.
+Jordan Dominguez Upvoting so Nico can see this.
+Kevin Carroll Oh man you're right, I completely forgot the one in KH1 was artificial
**Sees Title**
Oh
OH NO

+ShinyMew and he defeated it!TBH he is not that hard, just annoying....because of his water clones
+ShinyMew *sees title
OH
OH YES FINALLY
***** He's gonna wear the face of despair
+TheNorman377 We'll see if that statement stand for later
Call me cruel, but I wanted Nico to die during the Battle of a 1000 Heartless at the 999 Heartless just for him to restart.
The only way Kingdom Hearts 3 can top this epic scene is a Battle of 10000 Heartless!
Or they have us fight wave after wave of them WHILE running across of massive battlefield, Tales of Xillia style!
It will probably be 13000
KeeperofSecrets watch the new Kingdom Hearts 3 Winnie the Pooh’s trailer it’s got a new 1000 or 10000 heartless battle
Heh.
Bullshit Powers
21:05 To be fair nico, if i saw a army fighting final fantasy characters, i would say donald, goofy go get some popcorn, i'm a, i'm a stay here and watch.
To summarize all the story bits we learned today:
Xehanort, Ansem the Wise's apprentice, worked on experiments that dealt with the darkness in people's hearts.
OH wow I did not realize Ansem Heartless anagram was SoD. That's kind of funny. Going to be calling him that now. XD
The infamous boss battle is upon us. Time to watch Nico breeze through this shit, enraging all the people who struggled with him xD _just kidding, time will tell_
+GiLLyeXp I said he was an easy boss for a reason...
senpaishome yeah you can only beat him by being op....
+TheNorman377 i think he just got a wr at rpg limit break for kh2 crit lvl 1
+GiLLyeXp well that boss fight was not hard for me the hard one was X...
You think things are confusing now Nico, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAwait until Dream Drop Distance
Unless it's Nico
The river that i'm gonna cry will sink everyone to oblivion... Q_Q!
+ShutUpAdachi
Script writers: "So, how should we make the series even *MORE* confusing?"
Nomura: "How about complicated time travel?"
Script Writers: "GENIUS."
They're also noted as being subordinate to Demyx, and that just brings to mind the image of him playing music for these dudes to dance to.
i liked seeing "Her" armor
+rexlebra968 ah yes, I sure do love "Her"
Rukasu Mizukiyo i can't wait till Nico learns about "Him" and "That guy"
rexlebra968 oh yes, "Him" was awesome and I felt so sorry for "That guy" man, oh of course we can't forget "that battle," "that battle" was epic
Rukasu Mizukiyo yeah, "that battle" is great, i can't wait for Nico to fight "Him"
+rexlebra968 nico gonna be raging fighting 'HIM'
31:00 If your apprentice is named Xehanort, you just need to accept that he will turn evil someday. Nobody with that kind of name can stay good for long.
Ah, episode *14* What an *unforgettable* episode
+Xain Reaper ... I get the joke. Oh god, now I'm sad.
+Xain Reaper I see what you did there.
+Xain Reaper sigh...
What's the joke I don't get it 😔
Joel mccomb If uou haven't played Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days you won't get it,and you're better off that way. We'll get to that once Nico does the next Kingdom Hearts game, which comes right after 2.
Originally, the 1000 heartless fight included the wyvern heartless and the "final" boss of Hollow Bastion, that large four legged creature with it's only weakness being it's horn. But because of the limits of the PS2, they couldn't put them in without the game lagging to hell.
jthedog stuff like this makes me wonder why they didn’t just develop this for PlayStation 3 especially since Sony had told 3rd party developers that it was planned to launch in Spring 2006
darn, they should of added him to the final mix version.
oh wait... nevermind.
"get on your knees sora"
*sora actually kneels*
"wait whaaaa.."
It's funny, but in the manga Demyx was actually making "Organization XII" merch when Xemnas announced Roxas joining.
+ThatGuy777 hmm well for now he'll be fine
until **metal armor noises** happens of course
+Rukasu Mizukiyo ooooohhh,i can imagine his rage being more intense than Sephiroths xD
Just wondering.
wait how would being over leveled hurt him, I already beat the game so you can tell me.

Sora: goofy no (tears up) why couldn't it have been Donald.
Donald: what the f*** sora?
1:18:32 awww Leon is like a big brother to Sora in this game. It's actually a bit sweet how much he worries about him. (it's even better in the Manga, where he kinda goes into a breakdown if he fails to protect them)
Oh does he? That's kinda sweet XD
18:27
Lion: "think you can handle this many?"
Cloud: "well, might be tough if one more shows up."
Lion:" Then that will have to be the one I take care off"

Sephirot appears
Cloud: "there is your "one more" go take care off him"
Lion: "FUCK ME SIDEWAYS"
Well honestly, if anyone else could hold there own against Sephiroth, it's Squall
Sephiroth: Give me a moment...😈
Oh shit, I'm here early. Time to think up of a joke...

**Drives by on a tour bus carrying a bunch of random people**
And here is where Nico's brain exploded from information overload and could not recover from the overall epicness this game presented to him in such a short amount of time . . .
And here you can see the Donald Duck Hunt game, LOOK, there's someone trying to beat the game now . . .
"I GOT IT!!!!!!" **BANG** **Goofy emerges from the grass mocking and laughing at the player for missing**

And something else that would count as spoiler
And that’s why Xemnas had him killed.
And with this, you officially reached the midway point. now you can get straight into the meat of the game !
xD yup this segment is only the first short half. Now the real game starts with all of the revelations and all of the new questions !
xD yup ! this game is a lot longer than the first one ! And the extra bosses are a lot worse too! xD

I read on Sephiroth's wiki page once that his two other wings in KH are supposed to represent his final form/Safer Sephiroth
Sephiroth's final form - now OSHA approved?
R.I.P. Heartless #1000
There is even a trick to beating him early. I think it went like Wisdom form and spamming fire makes his health melt like butter. But not 100% sure.
omg I was rewatching some LPs and I realized that this was the first video that popped up in my recommendations and introduced me to Nico.
Honestly, I don't think even Numura knows what Kingdom Hearts is....
TheDisneyLover58 LOL!
well i always thought kingdom hearts to be a bad thing, since the villains of Kh are always trying to acquire it. but i mean, its kinda funny that this all the knowledge we have of the actual kingdom hearts. its like were playing Halo but we dont know what the halo is.
I just can't get over Cloud and Leon's banter. IT WAS SO EPIC! This game is so awesome.
Forget the Demyx fight the 1,000 heartless fight is waaayyy cooler. XD
+megzarie Yeah, it really is.
+megzarie
and we're not even done with the epicness

It's interesting to come back and watch these now knowing so much more about what's going on with the lore. There's so many layers upon layers it unreal, but once you grasp everything you can pick up on all the little subtle nods.
Ooh you had a good Demyx fight, he didn't do his 10 forms in 10 seconds move. That's what messed a lot of people up. Nice one Nico
Sephiroth: "Because...I am you."
"No, don't say it!"
Cloud: "No! You're not me!"
"I AM A SHADOW THE TRUE SELF"
1:25:44
Why not just go in the same order you first did them?
Second it.
Ahhhhh, the sound of a sitar playing for water to dance... It brings back raging and despairing childhood memories when I thought he was the hardest character to fight... Then I soon cried in despair after fighting harder characters.
fun fact, christopher lee (the original diz voice actor) and corey burton (the second diz voice actor) also both played count dooku in star wars
That Cloud line and your editing, got me X"D rofl
+YTWeewer Spoiler Warning:
I believe that is only his Data battle.
***** I thought he did it before dying! I could be wrong.
+PolarBearMusician SPOILERS! Nico dosen't know about those yet! Delete your comment before you get banned!
Its really cool that at the start of the Demyx fight he drops his facade of having emotions and turns stone cold and dead serious.
Maybe it wasn't a facade. I mean, you heard him. "We do too have hearts."
WELCOME TO WATER HELL NICO!
It's great. :D
Nico really needs to rewatch this episode after having seen BBS
7:45 Hrm...guess this design is partially based on his Safer Sephiroth form (which has four other wings, two of them veiling his lower body).
32:05 .......oh my god. For those who don't know this is a Final Mix Exclusive Scene and for someone who's played Birth by Sleep ahhhhhhhhhhh.
Sometimes when I'm just listening to the KH playthroughs, I start imagining Nico as this little dude riding on Sora's shoulder a la jimminy cricket, and it makes everything so much funnier.
Well then _Where's the fun in this..._
The second visits are kinda short except for Olympus Coliseum i think. only 25 minute-ish, so i'd say go to Beast's Castle and Agrabah next.
Especially Beast's Castle since you get something PRETTY useful there.
You're not invincible when Reflect's explosion happens, btw.
And try using magic a lot in Master form, since you can basically spam it in that form.
+Irfan Fakhrianto I'm going through it pretty well at the point of no return.
Hang on, am I crazy? Didn't your comment say something about the Cave of Remembrance?
+Irfan Fakhrianto I actually thought Olympus coliseum 2nd visit was one of the shortest. Port royal second visit is a good length, along with Agrabah in my opinion (:
THIS VIDEO RIGHT HERE, this has been the moment I've been waiting for ever since you started Kingdom Hearts initially, and goodness gracious /this was absolutely glorious/
...and now to wait to see how Nico fares with the other bosses that everyone and their mother failed multiple times on. Good luck, dude o/
*sees that Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days is near* T_T *sob* the feels.....are hitting me like a bag of bricks.
I am so not ready for that game. Even though its my favorite out of all of them.
Tbh, I didn't get any feels when playing that game. I was actually bored most of the time.
RockingtheRaikou that ending tho
Demyx is a fun boss imo
He's not very resilient so you can totally take him down if you beat on him hard enough but actually getting to him is the real issue
His attacks are have such a huge AOE and they hit like a truck
Also, fun fact, I only recently realized that his variance in personality has to do with the water element representing change and variability! The More You Know~
Best...video....EVER!!!
1:14:09 Man, I've heard that Saix heartless speech so many times I got that shit memorised... Is that bad?
"Don't be mad, we too have hearts"
He was right all along, damn it.
Sephiroth: I am you.
Cloud: No. It can't be. You're not m-
Sephiroth: Really? Has Finnley really made this joke?
Cloud: What are you talking about?
S.: Darkness inside, "I am you", he is clearly ripping off Persona 4.
Cloud: Well, what joke would YOU use?!
S.:....
The scene where Goofy shows up and it's revealed he's okay ALWAYS makes me tear up. That scene is just so cute and heartwarming.
Cloud: Well, might be tough if one more shows up.
Squall: Then that'll have to be the one I take care of.
-Sephrioth appears-
Cloud: Good luck, Squall.
cloud: you said you take care of him
5:39 Donald: That will teach Leon for making us look for those puppies and beating the crap out of us...
If mickey could permanently join the party i think everyone would agree that donald would no longer exist in nico's lp
He chose the fairy designs because he thought it would look interesting and because he believed that the screen would be too crowded if it focused on all three of them at once if they were in their original human forms
Also, there is concept art of KH style Rikku as a human because she was originally going to have a solo appearance in KH1 as part of Leon's gang.
+Flower Song Of course he isn't pure. He did turn into a Heartless, after all. He's just naive, and sticks his nose where it doesn't belong.
+Flower Song Sora's heart is not pure. To be fair though, he only kills heartless and people who attack him first or if other innocent people are being attacked.
He has so little darkness in his heart that it was just enough fore a shadow when he turned into a heartless. That I found relatively pure.
Sofaris The most common heartless is that type. In other words... Sora has the same level of Darkness in his heart as the average "good" person. He is not Pure.
He's not pure obviously Noone is but he doesn't kill things without question have you played these games ?
ive watched this about 10 times and i always love the fangasm with cloud
When you go back to Port Royal, keep Donald in the party; Wisdom Form is apparently really useful for the boss there. Or so I've seen.
It is. And it is very useful for the entire world.
course master works just as well.
Master and then spamming Thunder is key on Critical. Even then, I barely beat him..
I have watched your KH playthrough 4 times in the past year, your commentary always makes me laugh, I want to thank you for all the lolz!
same XD
