    I have a doubt.
    1 mohr circle is drawn for a soil sample or for 1 plane of failure

    Why c (cohesion)for normally consolidated clay is zero

      Vai occ is 0 in cu uu cd tests....

      bec in normally consolidated clay the particles are loose and there is very less interlocking btw the particles so the cohesive (force btw same type of particles) is very less or considered zero

      the value of c is zero for cohessionless soil i.e sand
