Great vid. Nicely explained. Love seeing the process. My bros getting his done today on his Corsa, failed MOT because of this., Just sent him this vid to show him what they changing.
Nice video again mate, this was literally one of the worst jobs I had to do on mine. I went in to get it tracked, both suspension arm bushes were shot making it judder under breaking, and my tie rod ends were seized solid. It took me 3 days, a blow torch and a lot of penetrating spray to get my drivers side off. Glad yours were simple to do haha.
Thanks mate, appreciate your comments. I was lucky with this job man, was expecting some trouble but thankfully got none. Someone else literally commented saying I'm lucky I didn't need heat. Maybe because I got the car tracked about a year ago that its been alright and wasn't seized. 3 days is a long time man, that sounds like me fitting my TIP 🤣🤣
@@SPOOLINUP yeh man, Everything always takes a bit of patience and a bit of swearing but it gets there in the end haha! Looks like this was a dream to do though, definitely going to invest in that inner tie rod tool, looks amazing haha! That’s also such a horrendous job 😂. Especially doing it on your own, hardest bits done now though mate 😂
You know in the past I have spent a day trying to do one simple thing and have struggled. The next day I come outside and do it in an hour, sometimes you need that break and it helps. That tool helped so much, you could cut the track rod end off and wind the track rod out next time if its all stuck and seized. Definitely buy the tool of you think you will use it again. I need to knuckle down with the cars though mate and just keep on top of it as I've been lazy 😴
@@SPOOLINUP yeh man the break is always a winner! Especially on tasks that are being particularly annoying haha. I’ve made sure they are never seizing again, slapped a tonne of copper grease over the threads haha. Ah I reckon sometimes you need to have a little break to not loose complete love for working on the cars. When the weather is so limiting it’s actually hard to gather the enthusiasm to do it haha.
Yeah man even if you down tools for the day and go back tomorrow it has definitely helped me before. Sweet mate that is a good idea, future proof those threads man. Its definitely hard when the weather isn't great and the shorter days limit you a lot. I used to work on my cars or wash them after work sometimes, now there isn't a hope in hell. I should be moving soon to a house with a garage which will be nice 👌🏾
Excellent demonstration here Naz, really appreciate this video I would never of thought about doing this but after watching this it’s given food for thought. I wonder if adjusting these would make my steering wheel issue I have, basically my steering wheel lock when stationary doesn’t sit straight. The car drives straight, well as close as I can get, it does veer to left a bit. Cheers mate.
Thanks Sean mate it means a lot. You should just be able to get your car tracked and that should solve the problem. They will set your steering wheel in the straight position and adjust the wheels from there. Its really annoying when your steering wheel is slightly off and its embarrassing when other people notice but nonetheless a common issue in cars. Book yourself in for 4-wheel alignment and your problems will be answered. Thanks again man 👍🏽 good luck.
Hey man, sorry mate but I dont work on cars for a living and its sad because I barely get time to work on my own. You can work things out and gain experience though, everyone starts from somewhere.
Thanks! Simple and to the point well done
Thank you too! Glad you thought the video was good 👍🏽

Thank you brother! Yeah man you need to keep on top of these things because its steering after all. I'm glad he is getting it sorted 🙏🏾 top man
Nice job. Thank you for the video👍
Thank you for your comment man 👊🏾
Great video, very inspiring for my own mk4 gti👍
Thats great news man, I just need to stop being lazy now and do more 👍🏽
Gorgeous MK4 !
Thank you mate

lucky to get them off with out using a lot of heat👍
They honestly weren't that bad as well, I was expecting some issues.
Where did you buy the special tool?
Amazon I think but they are sold in many places
Do you work on cars too I’d love to book mine in
I so wish I could do all this but I lose my patience and get confused

naz! stopped watchin when y jumped removing first nut. want to see whole process
Hi mate, by the first nut do you mean the one on the track rod end? Or the locking nut?
👊🏾
