i appreciate the newness of reversed or distressed leather but i prefer the smooth regular leather. the distressed also doesnt feel too too leather, more suede (if u know what i mean). i wouldnt do PL1 as they are too short, if you're gonna spend, spend it on PL2, the extra length is simply superior.
Front zipper will always be superior to me simply for the fact that it’s rare… but then you get the beautiful stacking of the leather with back zips, bo wrong choice but I take front zipper any day

Also I heard if you take them to a cobbler new they will just tell u to wear them for a little bc they need to wear down the top layer of leather before they attach the vibrant soles. shell cordovan is horse leather from the butt of the horse. its softer and thicker i heard...i will own a pair one dayyyy...i love telling germans that france is the capital of bread and they get really mad loll

You influenced me to try and find a white guide/tabi to show wear and tear on boots, since I usually buy black boots. For tabi's what do you suggest on sizing. I am a tts 42.5 and I ordered a 43 online and it was huge, fitting like a size 45. I went to the boutique in New York and a size 41 fit exact. I am conflicted 😭
i went tts with my tabi, my friends did the same, maybe the new models are different BUT if u are able to go try on, get what fits when you went and try them on
