It’s good to have some of these better priced options for soundbars… not everyone is looking to recreate the theatre experience but often the TV speakers are just garbage. I don’t mind the ones on my Series 4 but sometimes a bit extra is nice
Can this soundbar be mounted to the TV itself? I just bought a TCL Roku TV for an outdoor space and want to buy this soundbar to mount to the TV, because I am going to mount it to an articulating mount for maneuverability and need the soundbar to move with the TV. Does TCL make one? COuld you recommend one? Thank you
@@ZAKtalksTECH Thank you for the quick response! Aren't there a couple of screws on the back of the soundbar, one at each end? I looked at the quick start guide for the soundbar and saw that those screw locations are used if you want to wall mount the soundbar. I'm wondering if I could use them to attach one of those universal tv mount brackets to it and then attach to the vesa mount of the tv?
Yes, there are a couple screws on the back of the sound bar. One on each end. I *believe* those are used for mounting. I personally haven't tried. You might want to reach out to TCL and see if they can help further. Sorry I couldn't help anymore.
@@ZAKtalksTECH You helped a bunch by confirming that those screws are used for mounting, so I will do just that and use them for mounting. Thanks again!
My soundbar is not connecting with my roku tv. I have tried the reset button on the back. I did factory reset on the tv. No dice. The sound bar was having trouble connecting so I told the tv to forget the soundbar What can I do reverse this so the soundbar hooks up again? Thank you
Can you conect one of these TCL wireless soundbars to a Roku brand tv? Not TCL or other brands Roku tvs, but the ones made directly by Roku. I am unable to find info about this. Thanks.
I'm not 100%... and I have no way of testing. You might want to just email Roku and or TCL and ask them. The soundbar IS for TCL TVs and branded as such... I'm gonna say: TCL TVs only. But please check. Sorry I can't help more.
Ok, thank you for your answer. U have tried for some time to conect one of these with a “Roku tv” made by Roku and not success yet. I guess it is not compatible.
I’m having connection issues with my sound bar. I have the right TCL Roku tv for this sound bar but no dice. Did anyone else have an issue and maybe a solution?
Thanks again to TCL for sending out the sound bar for review!
Thanks, now I know what to ask my wife for Christmas lol. Have a TCL in the living room. Appreciate it sir. Hope your having a great day👍🏿
Cheers Clint!

Exactly. Just needs that extra push. This does the job perfectly.
Feel better soon! #Getwell
That's neat how it works and is setup!
Enjoyed the video ! Would you know if you attach a Chromecast to the Roku tv with this soundbar will the Chromecast volume controls still function
It will. Just plug the chromecast via HDMI into the TV.
I saw a Roku subwoofer can it be added with this sound bar?
I believe you can
Great video! I didn’t even know that TCL sells sound bars till now
They have a few models. They all go great with any model of TCL TV.
@@ZAKtalksTECH I must look into them because they look really reasonable for how much they cost

I think you'd need to mount it under the TV and on the articulating mount. You can't mount this sound bar directly to the TV.

I've had this happen once and all I did was go through the setup process again. Worked fine after that. I would suggest you contact TCL for support.
@ZAKtalks TECH I have tried many times to reconnect with no luck. I reset both the TV and the soundbar, no luck. Well call TCL for help.
Do we know what's inside this thing? 4 speakers or 2? Tweater?
You'd need to check the TCL website for that info.

@@JLNVA I am also trying I just got this soundbar for $15 but I have a Phillips Roku tv
As long as the tv has Roku in it then you should be able to connect.
Do you find any latency issues with the soundbar or the lips being out of sync? I just got a lower end Vizio and everything seems dubbed over 😔
None at all. No latency issues.
In your sound settings on your Roku TV, if you choose the "passthrough" option instead of "stereo", that should fix the issue.
3:24 Hey! Duran Duran!
i have same tv and sound bar
It's been good.
I enjoyed your video. Blessings on your day.

Try doing a power cycle. If that doesn't work then do a total reset (button on the back of the sound bar near the power plug).
How is the speech clarity option?
It's good! It basically boosts the high-end when it recognizes speech.
My Roku tv doesn't show an option for sound bar like your do in the video...is the another way to hook up my alto r1?
You should get in touch with Roku and or TCL.
Now its a roku sound bar not tcl
