- Baltimore Police Officers are faced with trauma daily.
The department’s Officer Safety and Wellness program is helping them manage the trauma and stress of the job from day one.
Vernon Herron is the program's director.
“This is a part of the culture for the Baltimore City Police Department. It is the cornerstone of our mission,” he said.

If a LEO has any signs of a mental health issue he should be pulled from his patrol duties immediately ! Then evaluate by a Dr.
When the Citizens also get free access to mental wellness, then we’ll see real healing and more peace in the city.
Cops need to always go in with shields.
