hello, im from Winnipeg and I would just like to send my thanks, this video is the single reason why i started angling. And since then ive been having a hooked. biggest so far is 28 3/4 walleye through the ice and a 51 inch musky off eagle from trolling thanks so much Aaron uncut angling for all the info and lessons your videos have shown me!
I love your enthusiasm, you make it fun for me even though I can't get out there anymore. Thank you for your MOST entertaining video, I can almost smell the fish. Anyone that gave this video a thumbs down has something wrong with them, you took great care in releasing your fish quickly and unscathed. Most impressed. I was an angler for over 50 years.
Great vid guys! love it can i get some tips on catching walleyes im on the right lake on the right spot but yet nothing .... thanx hope to see another!
@miciahmueller1 We usually move in 15 minutes if we have no sign of life....and we hang out for about 30 mins if we are getting some hints of life on the flasher or some bites....have to gauge it to the day a bit too....if fishing seems to be good we will move faster and more often to find better fishing, if things have been slow we will tough out slower fishing a bit longer....hope that helps!
Can you tell me anything about those growths on some of those fish? I have caught a big walleye in bay of quinte in ontario with similar looking growths. I was kinda disgusted lol
what is the exact name of that live lure? I caught a 9 and a half pounder on Nipp Last Summer, in 40 feet of water on a worm and glow jig. I'll be finishing the Timmins Area this winter. Walleye and Sturgeon.
@Saskyloon Haha, keep it PG13 Saskyloon. Eyes are blasted in every segment from an average of 0 hours of sleep the night before filming...tonnes to prepare...anyone who thinks making a fishing show is a cakewalk has never been involved in the process. Jay and I are still figuring alot of this game out...the best is yet to come. :)
Typically, 10 pound fluorocarbon...the whole fluorocarbon craze could be a farce, but it works for me. For Lake Winnipeg, alot of guys tie direct with braid. I use a mono/fluoro leader for walleyes, regardless of water clarity.
You may have already answered this question but what POV camera are you using attached to your hat in this video?? Great video btw, can't wait for first ice!

+Cole Asinas - I use Power Pro Ice Tec braid for almost everything, 10# test for big walleyes like this. 12-14# fluorocarbon leader, I like Sunline but it doesn't need to be high end fluorocarbon for an application like this.

JT Outdoors - Any color can work depending on the day and the conditions, but white is usually a great starting point! 24" is kind of short. A longer rod is much more enjoyable and effective to fish with.
Jay goad - We quickly showcase fish to the camera and expedite releases. As much as we try to keep things loose, we are out there to get the video done cleanly and it really doesn't matter who touches the fish.
Hey great show you guys. Ever try pitching a show idea to MTS or other local producers? I'm currently in production for an ice fishing show with them and I'm going out to Lake of the Prairies out by Russell, MB. You guys would make great hosts and there aren't to many ice fishing shows out there so it's something you should consider.
great vid guys i am an ice fishing nut too oh yeah and im canadian lol out here on the mighty ottawa we use live minnows with spoons for those big eyes.. hope to see more vids. if u you are ever in the ottawa area come by the clarence creek bay and hook in to some monsters
everyone just looks at our winter. we do have nice summers to. though we have a huge varience in tempertures and everyone just looks at the colder side
It's not cool all of the time, it was 17 degrees Celsius today ( somewhere in the sixties for you guys) and it's October. However come winter time it can really get cool for sure but if you like to ice fish that's good. By the way our summers are good too. 20 to 30 degrees Celsius (68-85 F). And yes the people are nice for the most part, especially up north.
you dudes are awesome. i have crap luck ice fishing. go for perch, catch small gills. go for crappie, catch small perch. fking determined this year though! great video, nice 'eyes.
I sell Honda and the Ridgeline is an awesome truck.Sure it can't tow 10,000 pounds but if you don't need that the Ridgeline is perfect. That will outlast just about any truck on the market.Hey Aaron if you ever need a guest fisherman on the show I'm game!

Good stuff all around
anyone else realize when he asked, "do you want me to get the net?"...
This video is deadly! Love the dialog, guys are funny, and love the attitudes, makes me wish the ice was on already!
It is a Contour, we have been using the V.I.O. POV lately with better results though....
I know nothing about ice fishing and you guys make it interesting!
Is that auger a 6" or 8" because I can't tell and I have watched a lot of your vids

So glad Justin grows a beard now...he’s a scary looking guy without it
What rod/reel you boys running? I like the length and soft tip but it looks like it's got a solid backbone on it.
@tuneballers Frabill 38" Gussy Ice Hunter Rod
Can you tell me anything about those growths on some of those fish? I have caught a big walleye in bay of quinte in ontario with similar looking growths. I was kinda disgusted lol

man that was a great clip! i love to fish for walleye and my biggest yet is a 34 inch. but loved your clip.
+TheBallisticPepper My dad once caught a 3' smelt. We were so embarrassed we had to leave the lake. Why did it have to be so small?

What do you recommend for pike on a small river in winter?
When you use fluorocarbon leaders.. What lb test is it? I've picked up some good tips from watching your video's Great job boys!
+HOOKED on fishing Canada - in this scenario I would recommend 14#
Thx man! keep the video's coming and I'll keep watching.
You may have already answered this question but what POV camera are you using attached to your hat in this video?? Great video btw, can't wait for first ice!
Awesome video guys, I really enjoyed it! Itching to get out ice fishing here in Alberta. We don't have big picks like that though!
