Dremel cutting a keyway slot in a motor shaft

the actual cutting part probably took about twice as long as is shown, but the camera dropped out on me.
My advice if you intend to try this is...
TAKE YOUR TIME and test fit often.

Lead acid batteries are extremely stable. They have worked pretty much the same way for over a century.

Enjoyed the video and I will be trying your technique. You mentioned that you did it "by eye". Now you should protect your eyes. I have seen these thin Dremel type discs come apart and can be dangerous. It's hard to eyeball something if you damage your eyeball.

I think some use a number of cutting disks together to get a wider cut; Well done

Also so use a metal plate clamped to the shaft to guide the cutting disk

I need to do this on an auto scrubber motor. It's the Disk motor and the old keyway wore out and the metal dissolved on the one side . I'm thinking if I grind a new keyway slot on the other side of the rod it will save me $1000 for a new motor. I wish they designed these to just buy a new rod but I can't wait parts for it smh.
