These Red Snapper are at Fort Pickens National Park in Pensacola Florida. Chumming them up with pieces of chunk bait and flat lining my bait down to them.
Fished this pier for more than 50 years. Mostly a tourist pier, but as you can see there are lots of fish here. Fish out of a boat today. Bait balls will be moving soon (August) so use gotcha lures to catch Spanish from the pier. If you would like any more info. on what's running and how to catch them let me know.
If you take too much time with the snapper being in the pylons then you will lose the fish to the structure. Same as with red drum and amberjacks. Snappers love to run into structure once hooked. So you have to be quick on them
@@EliKingFisher my country and portugal, of course, the more weight the fish has, the harder it is to bring it up. I noticed that this platform is not good for big fish, good fishing
You know you just burnt your spot, lol. And every one else's spot. Now everyone in a 100 mile radius is gonna know. Where I live there's huge stripers that run twice a yr. I would never make a video of it and burn that spot and give away what lures work!
TilDeath1776 US one I love to see others catch fish two the snapper aren't there anymore too much rain water is dirty they are back in the gulf I've been out and haven't seen anything
Okay so the fish I was catching is a Red Snapper which is a regulated fish species in florida and it wasn't in season so it's a catch and release game fish until it is in season to harvest
everyone that cant fish out there hates you...you prve 10% of the people catch 90% of the fish. I have a boat in gulf breeze...have you eve fished cloed to this area from a boat?
EliKingFisher Florida has great spots to fish. I posted pics on fb looking like I chartered a boat but all from piers. I’m subscribing, p cola area, ft Pickens amazing fishing

Even tourists know about gotcha plugs it’s no secret they are on every other pole. Let me guess swim baits work for tarpon?
Great Video.
R Hinote thanks
Are there still red snapper there? I might make the trip tomorrow, it looks like a blast.
Josh Ballard yep catch and release only and they are really feisty when you chum them up and drift your bait with the chum
