What is his first mixtape
The intention of this song was to show off his talent and flow. The lyrics are for that purpose and nonsensical at times just for the sake of the flow. Thats why it's called "joke." This was a message to the haters who said he had no talent and that he wasn't a "real rapper."
RM outgrew the name "Rap Monster", he changed it to "Real Me".

I read the entire interview of him talking about his mixtape RM and what you said sums it up. Rm just said Joke was a breathe of fresh air, in contrast to his other songs in the mixtape which have deep meanings questioning life and the system this one was a diss track. But doesn't mean it's nonsense. That song was full of wordplay, as expected from the genius Kim Namjoon

The name “Real Me” hasn’t been confirmed. He mentioned it once but he never confirmed that that was what it stood for. He simply says RM, and still responds to “Rap Monster”, “RapMon”(the members tend to call him that sometimes) and “Monie” (during VLives with the members).
VIP “Real Me” hasn’t been the confirmed meaning, but it IS under speculation.

The reason it was called “joke” because the lyrics were a joke lol, people used to make comments that rm can’t rap fast even though he was an underground rapper in korea before joining BTS so he can definitely rap fast and switch flows amazingly, but haters gonna hate 🤷♀️ I recommend the cyphers :)

I respect the fact that he changed his name to RM and I love it. But to me, the foundation to BTS back in the days is when they started and he was Rap Monster. This is the OG and I love it!!!! I will never call him Rap Monster but in my heart, this is the real him.

Ok y’all the stage name doesn’t matter. He’s just him; Kim Namjoon, an amazingly talented artist who raps like a monster and smiles with some of the cutest dimples we’ve ever seen.
In terms of speed, I’m actually not sure who is faster. Agust D is supposed to be pretty fast. They have diff styles tho. Both highly skilled.
Agust D is the second fastest and RM is the 5th fastest.
As far as speed, I saw an article that posted them with the same clocked speed off of the cyphers. But Suga is said to be able to sustain the speed for a longer amount of time without breaking for breath. So we have one special rap line.😍💜
@@inzaghiscornsalad7034 Out of who? There's a number of rappers in Korea who are ludicrously fast. Some of them are pretty good and their music is worth listening to whether fast or slow, others seem to just go for as much speed as possible without much in the way of diction or cadence to make it comprehensible/meaningful or even particularly enjoyable to listen to. Still, a bunch of those guys - ten, maybe a dozen or more - will spit far more syllables per second than Suga or RM (granted that top 10 is probably separated by fewer than 3) but pure speed only goes so far. RM's lyricism, Suga's versatility, both of their ennunciation/diction and delivery are first class: that's what really sets them apart.
Still, there's plenty of amazing rappers in Korea, both within groups and standing as soloists, idols or not. The language itself has a natural cadence, being syllabic, that lends itself perfectly to both rapping and singing.

If they stayed Underground They would be placed beyond TOP 5. Outsider is so far Korea's fastest and world's 3rd fastest rapper (some people, including me, say he's the fastest since he's the only one in the top 3 who pronounces every single syllables perfectly) So yes. Out of IDOLS.

This is why I say that if people do proper research and dig a little deeper into BTS, you will find a lot more than meets the eye! These guys are truly talented in all their unique way and have come together into a group that is pure magic. They just happen to be Korean and I love it!
Namjoon is definitely a lyricist at heart. He likes to make metaphors and similes in his music. He has a very high IQ, and definitely uses it well. He sees the world in a completely different light than others, and seeing the best in others as well. He will always look for deeper meanings to things, in which its why he's my favorite. I wouldn't say he's my ult, but as much as I love all the boys, RM has always had a special place due to him leaving deeper meanings in his lyrics and songs. He's definitely one to pour his heart out.

RM is a literal genius, he has an IQ of 148, and his lyrics often contain a lot of wordplay (that unfortunately don't always translate well). He (with the rest of BTS) actually addressed the UN. At some point, when you're in the mood for something different, you should check out his UN speech. It's all in English and is really inspiring.
Suga's faster Rap is in Cypher Prt. 2, and he actually can rap ir even faster then the sudio version

AgustD aka Suga is the fastest rapper. I think you should listen to him in Cypher pt 2. RMs mind and lyrics are so thoughtful, poetic, and beautiful while Suga/AgustD is the more harsh in your face type of lyrics (that's why he is known as the korean Eminem) not afraid to say it bluntly. And JHopes rap/flow is so unique...he rides the rhythm of the beat. They all bring unique attributes to the rap line and BTS as a whole

Yes, they all rap fast, but J-Hope tends to keep his flows super smooth and soothing for his solo stuff. He wants to be a piece of peace, which means he only really indulges in angry-style rapping when he’s with the other rappers.
