Belgium of Africa. Not a team, just 11 indviduals. No matter how good your individual players are, if you can’t play like a team, then you’re really going to struggle to beat a nation who does, no matter their quality (or lack of).
As a Belgian, god damn this is true
As a historian, Belgium of Africa has a very nasty ring to it
Do NOT put Belgium anywhere near Africa
The Belgium of Africa has a very different connotation to it
11 players 11 diffrent taxis
Man, I remember when Ghana beat us in 2010. As it was the first World Cup I ever really sat down and watched when I was a kid, they instantly earned my respect and became my favorite African nation in the sport. It's sad how far they've fallen since.
Bro as a Ghanaian myself,In Ghana every Ghanaian has given up on this country 😭😭
You have the players, you just need an actual qualified, and passionate manager, instead of hiring assistant coaches and foreigners who don’t actually care.
@ bro we’ve had 5 different managers in just 6 years, we recently had Former Brighton head coach Chris Hilton and it still didn’t work, our football is just dead bro😭
Same with Nigerians and the Super Eagles
@ bro at least you guys qualified 😭
@@K.greg00 We've been mostly shit since AFCON finished earlier this year. Our form has been Abysmal and I don't think we even have a manager yet lol
Fun fact
Hugo Broos is the first South African manager to qualify for back-to-back AFCON tournaments and man how convincingly we did so as well 😁. Not to mention we are 2nd in our World Cup qualifier group 🔥
Watch out for Bafana Bafana 😎
Wait isnt he from belguim ????
@mouna5252elle He is
Our standard can't be this low chief we shouldn't be flexing about qualifying for Afcon that's embarrasing
There I was thinking "but is Zealand paying attention to the bonkers AFCON qualifying?" Of course Zealand is paying attention to the bonkers AFCON qualifying...
One of the funny things with Ghana not qualifying is that we were beaten by a former Ghana coach who is Ghanaian and a current executive member of the FA (talk about conflict of interest).
Remember the coach who took Ghana to the 2014 world cup in Brazil?
James Kwasi Appiah.
Yeah, he is the current coach of Sudan.
The same coach who has put Sudan ahead of Senagal in WC qualification.
Watching the coffin dance meme is more entertaining than the entire Ghana national football team squad.
And yeah, the coffin dance meme was originated from Ghana.
Irony for you 😂
Ngl the idea of a national team tournament for domestics only is a great idea. Would've been good if say they used the Nations league for something like that perhaps.
Try to explain the „domestics only“ without getting cancelled ;)
@eqeeqeqeqeeqeqeq6696 I don't care about stupid cancel culture, but sure!
What I mean is players of nationality, who also play in the league of the country they represent. For example Bakayo Saka can still represent England as he plays for English side Arsenal. Jude Bellingham cannot as he plays for Real Madrid in Spain.
@@samthompson2130 yeah cancel Culture sucks. But I don’t really think that this makes sense. For example France has so many good / world class players but no one of them plays in Ligue A aka the MC Donald’s league.
@@eqeeqeqeqeeqeqeq6696 so? It allows a different perspective to nations and national pride. Those who value representing their nation benefit. It offers a different and interesting perspective and may give more players from perhaps less fortunate leagues the opportunity to represent their nation, that they have stayed loyal to by continuing to play domestically.
@@samthompson2130 don’t take it personal, but that’s one of the dumbest ideas regarding national team football I’ve ever heard, sorry.
Guess I’m back to being American 🤦🏾♂️
Even bigger than Ghana not making it is that they were nowhere close to qualifying
And nobody is talking about Comoros. An island group nobody even heard of except some geography geeks. They are going to Afcon and are first in their wc qualifying group if I can remember.
These are the videos I live for
The incopetence of some teams right now is astounding, in Asia we have Qatar messing up their qualifiers (though I have an itch that by march they will get their shit together, but who knows), Saudi Arabia being in real trouble, threatening to just be outright eliminated in this stage and also Australia just barely staying in second in their group. But then we have the duo in Africa of Nigeria and Ghana, two teams with fairly good squads, some really great players, and then they just struggle with some guy playing in the Saudi third division. Ghana failed miserably to qualify for Afcon, Nigeria qualified but without showing much, even losing to Rwanda who are 4 points ahead of them in their WC qualifying group. Its facinating how bad these guys can be even when they have every reason to dominate the oposition, I mean Morocco is doing that, just playing for obligation, pratically training, they beat Lesotho 7-0 wich Nigeria couldn't even bet at home in the WC qualifiers
Qatar is who we thought they were, and that's despite winning back-to-back Asian cups.
Why would you expect Qatar to do well they've never qualified for a world cup before
@CFC6788-gs2rl they one twice the asian cup, have a better squad than most other asian teams and there are now 8 slots for Asia. They very much were favorites to qualify for the next World Cup
@@toskiemail1371 I'm not with illusions of grandeur for Qatar, but Asia now has 8 slots, Qatar had proven to be at least the 6th best asian team, and its not just the 2 asian cups, they played a lot of matches to gain more experience that many other asians teams dont have, they did well in the Concacaf Gold Cup and the Arab Cup in 2021, and rather decent in the 2019 Copa America. Let's be honest, if they stop fumbling like they did with the UAE and get their shit together, they will qualify in the next phase in october, but it is still shocking that they lose 5-0 to a team that they had been dominating and humiliating in the last few years, no one expected the UAE to do this well against their rivals
Where does Papua New Guinea rank in your favorite Guineas?
Number one, Papua is an elite word
@@ZealandismShame they were utterly toothless in their recent WQ qualifying campaign and has now been knocked out.
2nd behind Guinea Pig
as someone who's ethnically Ghanaian, this sucks. at least i can root for the US. there's Pochettino and the team looks solid so yeah.
YOU SHOULD CHEER FOR URUGUAY 🇺🇾
@@enzoaliano2310 Wow. That's bold.
@@enzoaliano2310 hell no
This team used to have Essien… 💀💀😭😭
"Nai-jr"
“Ni-jer”
Nai Junior?
Definition of a team all substance no flavour
The economic maguire was playing
I DON'T KNOW, I WANT IT TO BE 2010 AGAIN 😭
This further proves that Ghana qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup was flukey as hell
They robbed SA lol
Yeah Nigeria were favourites throughout both legs for the final qualifying playoffs but SOMEHOW managed to miss every single chance and ended up gifting Ghana a World Cup spot
The funny thing is that Ghana is the only Pot 1 team that failed to qualify
Don't worry Zealand, you're still invited to the cookout
Zealand your collar is folded over
Nah that’s just the jersey collar
My Guinea ranking is flipped exept Papua New Guinea does go in front of Bissau
All stars rise and all stars fall
I didn't even know the African Nations Championship was such a thing.
You get African Football. These are qualifiers and tournaments like no other, where the under dog always has a chance and the favorites get knocked out in the first round. Its whimsical and fun to watch African football, becaus literally anthing can happen.
I'm here early but can't watch the video because it was uploaded 2 minutes before my break ends.
How could Zealand's solar panel sized forehead let this happen?
Forehead has too much bandwidth
is Papua New Guinea your 4th favorite Guinea? I personally feel that the 'Papua' elevates it above the rest
Mine goes
Equatorial because Equators are dope
Papua New because they’re new
OG because they ARE Guinea
Then Bissau because I don’t think they’re a proper Guinea they’re more of a Bissau then a Guinea.
They've been bad ever since they cheated the match against South Africa, check the records...
dude
Oh shit who’s in more shambles Ghana or Qatar?? World Cup qualifiers for CAF are gonna be crazy next year buckle up!
w
Be lucky if any of national team go back home to live, so theres no surprise thery didnt bother
BA DUM TSS
Ghana, Qatar & Sweden. Name a more infamous trio
Sweden is a good national team now they can qualify for World Cup
Norway perchance? They have so many good players yet they always flatter to deceive. I swear they’re the only side to have a player score 10 times in a single match and still get eliminated at the group stage, they’re like a Scotland but with actually good players.
Don’t forget Belgium
You're not African and it shows lol
We stopped being overly surprised by any results in the last 10 to 15 years. My country Tunisia losing to Comoros and Gambia at home still surprised me tho 😅
No cape verde in Afcon is a travesty
Dark day for African football indeed
Ghana got defeated by Ni-AfricanAmerican.
Seriously how can they get eliminated after one of the earlier qualification groups????
Ghana fell off that’s it
Are they a Ghana
They lost to who???
20 seconds no views. Fell off
It's nlt food for thought. They are all better than Ghana. Several teams that DIDN'T qualify are also better than Ghana
Nice ghana joke, now joke about the team they lost to
You mean Sudan right? You mean Sudan right?!
brother was talking about Africa and really hit us with "food for thought" at the end 💀💀
C- joke
