Thank you again. This information is priceless. I would have never thought to consider the rated speed vs HP before purchase.

Chinese and commercial grade probably won't ever go together when it comes to heavy equipment.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! While it's true that some Chinese equipment has struggled with perceptions of quality in the past, there have been significant improvements in recent years. Many manufacturers are now focusing on better materials, stricter quality control, and long-term durability. That said, it’s always important to evaluate machines based on their actual performance and reliability for the intended application rather than just the origin. We aim to provide honest reviews to help buyers make informed decisions

@@MidwestAdventureTeam We have a 2 tonne mini excavator with the Kubota engine and it is surprising how powerful it is. No problems with this and we dig thru rocky ground all the time. Even picked up another bucket for it to dig narrow trenches for water lines. We also have a 16 tonne John Deere excavator that we use almost daily and it has had no problems. So I believe its more about who uses it and takes care of it properly.

Good point, but mini-excavators are relatively complex machines. Each manufacturer designs the components to work optimally within a specific engine RPM range. Simply increasing horsepower doesn’t guarantee maximum performance. Misleading customers with maximum horsepower figures is a poor sales tactic, as this number often doesn’t reflect the engine's actual usability in daily operations. It’s all about balance and proper calibration for real-world efficiency
