Never had one but the retriever seem to be such a gentle loving dog have two German shepherds and they love their hugs and rubs

He is guarding his family...that's a position that allows him to have controll of the room...he wants to defend them

I had a German shepherd... I think it's in their DNA, they like cuddles but not as much as golden retriever, they enjoy playing and are super curious tho

Very obvious the GSD is a protector of the bunch, ever quiet and observant. The Golden and the Burmese are all just having a laugh and fun.
I can actually feel all that joy and happiness through my screen. Lovely family :)
Rockey is smart...he knows to just sit still by Dad and he'll get recognized. Teddy went to Mom first for attention. And then there's Bailey. 😀. Of course, he has to show Rockey and Teddy the ropes. 😀 ❤ 🐕
