Same here. in fact every time i see the part when Balto and Jenna accidentally touch noses, it makes me think that even though it was accidental they still formed a romantic bond.
Fr. Kevin Bacon and Bridget Fonda did a great job. Every time to spoke to each other it didn't feel like they were acting, it felt like they were ACTUALLY having a conversation with each other. Matter of fact they were so good that ong I thought they were married irl
Muk and Luk are amazing friends to Balto how they just jump into the water for Balto. always great to have friends like them when you’re struggling in life. also love balto x jenna, I’m so happy they got together in the end.
It's...kind of hilarious that they're making fun of him for being a half wolf. Most normal dogs would be terrified if a wolf dog got mad at them, they're much bigger, way stronger and much more intimidating, not to mention if Steele ever actually met Balto's mother, the wolf half, she would tear him to pieces in seconds. Steele should be cowering with his tail between his legs. but such is an animated movie about an underdog. I still love this movie even if most of it doesn't make sense. It is more accurate that the people in the town avoid him though, they would know that Balto would be very difficult to train and being half a wild animal would rip their house to shreds, this is sadly why a lot of people end up abandoning the wolf dogs they so irrationally and impulsively bought in the first place thinking it was cool to have something so close to a wolf. It's pretty irresponsible and not fair to the animals. Again, I do still really like this movie though.
I guess they wanted to humanize the dogs but kind of forget dogs don't work the same way humans do 😅 it kinda reminds me the into the wild movie adaptation. The book was about survival of the fittest, how nature is more powerful than humans and viciousness of nature. The movie just made it about a dog that acted like a human, giving mercy, "overcoming" his oppressors and stuff like that. Not to say that it was bad, but i found it too naive.
I think some parts of this movie was taken from White Fang, if I remember in the book he was a wolf dog who was ostracized by the other dogs until he took down the lead dog.
I think it’s because they know that Balto is hated by the majority of the humans in that town and that he’d be the one to suffer serious repercussions if he hurt them in any way while they get off Scott free, especially since one of them is a highly valued sled dog.
Yeah, goes to show that despite his fame Steele really didn’t have much. Sure he was adored and maybe envied but he had no real friends or connections. In fact, I think that Balto was luckier than Steele in the sense that he had pretty strong and deep rooted relationships with loved ones who were loyal to him and supported him. They didn’t have to add this much complexity to these characters but they did anyway and it’s a pretty nice touch.
Did Steele mention Aniu who is Balto's mother and the spiritual white wolf right before Steele and his gang howled to her? It was revealed both Aniu's name and she's Balto's mother only in the second Balto movie.
That's kinda the point. Not mad, just explaining. Here is what I mean: In this film, Balto wants to be with the sleddogs (huskies) and prove himself as a worthy member of the team )maybe even leader). But because he is half-wolf [a "wolfdog"], he is viewed as unequal and as an outcast [due to his genetics] by Steele and his supporters (the other 3 dogs). If you recall in another clip, Steele steps on Balto's paw to make him growl, giving him the appearance of feral aggression. Because of this, most of the people who saw this assumed that Balto is/was dangerous and more like a wild wolf than a loyal dog; therefore, he is seen as hostile and unworthy. So, he is continuously mistreated by Steele and his gang to make him feel worse about himself-- since Steele is very... entitled? to his own role as a lead sled dog [who happens to be a pure-bred husky]. Balto, to him, is an outcast who does not belong; so he and his gang bully him about his mother [her being a she-wolf]. That's why Steele remarks "I've got a message from your mother" as they all start howling. It's to belittle and make fun of Balto because of his wolf heritage. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day. =)
@Ethan Schmid Oh! I can never quite spot the differences between an alaskan malamute and a siberian husky. Very good attention to detail! I'm also thankful of how respectful your response is; glad I could be of assistance! =)
They liked each other from the get-go after he proved to care about her main concern, rosie. After that, well, they are dogs after all. They just have to like each other to stick together
If Steele was real, and he was a actual bully to Balto, well he wouldn’t be alive, all of the bullying leads him to me folding him 20 ways and leaving him for a grizzly bear.
@RostClan220 Especially when you realize that when he began scratching the trees to confuse Balto from getting home he essentially doomed the children to death. If Balto hadn't accepted his wolf self the medicine wouldn't have made it in time
@@luckypawfilms3408 Yes, I know what the verse is; you didn't need to tell me. My point is that this isn't the time or place to be peddling that crap. If you honestly think that proselytizing on a UA-cam video, especially one that has nothing to do with religion and is an animated kids clip about a half wolf sledding dog, then you're as nuts as the rest of your breed. You're the reason people don't like religious people or Christianity and that Christians with half a brain get a bad rap.

Gotta love Boris. He's a Great friend and adopted Father to Balto. I grew up with this movie. It was always my favorite.
Right! It's beautiful.
I love Boris too. He’s always so supportive of Balto even when he thinks he’s crazy. Can’t ask for a better friend or a better father.

I can't believe I watched all of this. It felt like 4 mintues. I adore traditional animation.
The animation on this movie was like one of the best. I would love to watch this movie over and over when I was younger.

Yeah, that's a pretty cliché plot to be honest.
An underdog whom everyone hates for being different and the "cool" guys bully him.

The fact that Steel's own pack low-key didn't like him. Shows how much of a jerk he is

Well maybe Steele hates wolves because I think he got abused by his parents for encountng a wolf.
@Ethan Schmid This is just a theory I made.
If u listen when Steele was bullying balto, after Steele left the other three huskies were talking smack abt Steele
That's kinda the point. Not mad, just explaining. Here is what I mean:
