dude. I think as singers, one thing we can all relate to is sitting at the piano alone and just being so done, even though you're a perfectly capable singer. We all have our off days that occasionally cause us to smash the piano keys or cry over a 5-note-riff (not based off a personal experience)

I’ve only one production where someone did it! It’s incredible!
When I was Quasi I opted up to the C at the end. My favorite to do it was Milan
in the original berlin production, drew sarich, sang it that way, going up in the end. there's even a clip here on yt where he sings the end bit in english. but do give the og german ver a listen, there are differences, esp at the end. Despite being the same song, they both were sang differently(?) like the feel of it i guess and the orchestration is different in some ways too, but i do like this song alot lol

"The first word is what's hard" YUP I struggle starting the first note 😂 But I'm definitely not as good as all these people but still learning. The first girl is super amazing and she seems to be in her head a lot thinking she's doing it wrong and it's so relatable. At lessons yesterday I started singing a note and I was like "holdup that was wrong" and my teacher was like "noooooo that was super good" and I was like oh whoops :/

I was part of the choir in The Hunchback in La Jolla. Michael did the ending where it went down, but when the swing Julian was performing he went up to the C. I personally preferred Michaels voice but the high ending is unbeatable.
I really love these videos because it shows all the imperfections. We are so used to seeing a final finished, polished product without seeing what it takes to get there. These make me so motivated!! Thanks for taking the time to put these out Miss Natalie!

Yes! I used to give vocal lessons for ppl for my high school theater and most people struggle with all the same things, it’s just finding the way of explaining/practicing with them that chances a lot for them. Natalie’s videos help me so much cause they show new and sometimes weird ways to practice lol
Everyone around me said to me that i have a good voice and i can sing. But i myself don’t know if i’ve got it or not.
These few bits and pieces of your video helped me a lot.
I wish i have a vocal coach like you near by, singing is like me breathing air. I sing everywhere, on the road, inside the house, outside the house, on the train etc etc.
And all your students are great and the first girl is me trying to sing while watching these videos.

I adore these videos because I start analyzing people’s vowels and voices and it forced me to work on my own. It’s the one of the reasons I’ve been able to find my vibrato
May I ask how you found it? I've tried a few things but so far nothing has really worked for me... can you tell me which videos (for example Natalie's) helped you?
AcousticCircle for me it was understanding tension in the throat. Understanding which vowels I have a tendency to place more tension in my larynx vs which vowels keeps everything relaxed enough.
