Wow! Ideal to put this on in the background whilst doing the housework! Thank you! 🙂

I have been doing the same thing - listening while I cook and clean in the kitchen (that's where my computer is). And I find that listening to the Russian (without looking at the words) and then getting the translation is giving me a big boost. After all, we learned English from hearing our parents speak it and we learned to understand English and to speak it before we learned to read. Later on, as I have time to sit, I'll listen while looking at the words.

ThePubliusHuldah, yes, you are correct. We learn to speak before learning to read. I like to listen whilst I'm busy with chores or with projects.
Later on I watch the video lessons and I write them by hand in journals. I recall much better if I write by hand, rather than typed.
The videos are terrific for reading practice as well.
This channel has top quality content! The more you use it, the more you will improve!
Wishing you all the best for your studies!

@@lilyrose4191 If you have a smart TV, then it's worth getting the Russia TV app { 69 pence per month }...There are 6 channels and I have it on in the background just to get used to listening to the language. I also bought a Russian keyboard and print out about 8 words on A4 large print and put them on the wall, so I keep looking up and reading them. Greetings 🙋🏻‍♂

Wonderful. Спасибо. Would love it even more if the phrase was repeated in Russian a second time after it is said in English.

I will love you forever 💗💗💗 I slow the speed down to 75 % and this helps SO MUCH with my pronunciation and listening skills. I can't understand Russian when spoken at normal speed or even what you consider "slow" speech! But putting this video at 75% speed is perfect!

How do you do that? Putting it at 75 %?

put your cursor on the video and then click on the little wheel at the bottom right. That's for "settings" and it allows you to adjust the speed! @@philisiwenojoko9714
