You know you have top rated talent when everyone can drift in and out of the pocket on their leads trusting that someone will always sit back and anchor the ship.
I think was expected, one of the best young drummer in the world is unbelievable to not have a turn to jazz music!!Great drumming Yoyoka!!!
Very nice melodies. Yoyoka we love you always.
Nice, reading music she’s going far in her career. Love it.
The genius of YOYOKA is her ability to complement any musician of any genre in any setting. Bravo!
My favorite drummer playing my favorite style of music, Jazz. You rock and roll no matter what you play my dear. I always wish you the very best life has to offer for a young, inspiring artist.
Interesting new soundscape! Much restraint in the lower register on the drums to let the busy acoustic bass rule. Very adaptive performance with a little candy at the end.
There is so much flavor to experience when listening to unprocessed music.
Thank you for the "acoustic" feel in these recordings
i’m reminded of how much i love jazz. Awesome
Always enjoy your playing Yokoka when you play with the Ken Okada Group. Their a great ensemble !
Wow! Yoyoka is so versatile, she is able to shift into smooth and gentle jazz. What masterful control over her immense power and energy. Not only able to harness the power of earthquake, volcano and tsunami in heavy metal she appears to have the experience, anticipation, cooperation and transition as an accomplished professional musician many times her age! Yoyoka is gifted, talented, studied, disciplined, trained, devoted as a symphony of every cell in her body. Truly amazing! Yaaaaayyy Yoyoka! I ponder the dormant creative dragon lying just beneath the surface of our beautiful Yoyoka! ❤
Love this comment!!! Well said!
Seamless. That, was a joy..
This is top music, performed by top musicians. Love it
So clean, so tight. What a ride! Thanks
Wow...what an exciting young musician...the Okada Group...Yoyoka...perfection.👍
That drum windup at the end was very satisfying.
Delicious!
The Ken Okada Group sound is excellent Yoyoka! I will continue following you on your musical journey, it’s great you can play jazz and rock both with fine musicians and wonderful family around you for help.Music is so amazing, it helps me everyday.have you heard of a band called Passport? I listened to their music along with Led Zeppelin , Deep Purple and other rock, classical, etc when I was around your age…check out the Passport album called “ Cross Collateral “ I think you might like it!
Bravissimo. If i were rich i would Take five. Wish you all a good time. Dankeschön.
Quite sublime, a real therapy that is good for the soul, thank you Yoyoka for presenting us with such a good piece of music.
WE'RE NOT WORTHY!!! - Wayne and Garth
Stunning ❤
Wonderful!!!!
To grow your precious gift this is the level of musicians you should be playing with rather than bar cover bands.
Every musician has to go a long way to find what they search for on the way.
Musical meetings in many forms and building a solid reputation is never a waste of time
Wonderful! Yoyoka-chan giving giant steps (pun intended) in Jazz as well. If she chooses this path, I'll be happy anyway (as a Rock/Metal fan)... she'd become in drums what Hiromi did with the piano, maybe a bit less crazy 😅
Super Yoyoka, can't wait to hear this new feature.
Yoyoka, very good. And reading music, that’s awesome!!!! Loved it😎🥁
Outstanding!!!
wot a combo guys, fab, the prof driving the bus in top form, bravo all.
cheers guys and gals.
Nice video, i love your jazz drumming. Not sure you will admit it but i think you love jazz and love to play jazz. Thanks again for sharing with us
The Okada Group's style of jazz is exactly the sort I really like to listen to, and I've truly loved every note I've heard you all play. So I'm reaaaalllllyyyy looking forward to this new track 🙂
Funk o Jazz ? Metal o Blues? Rock=
Yoyoka is definitely searching for something in her solo here, and she eventually found it. I love to hear her unfiltered creativity like this, she is finding herself right before our eyes (and ears).❤
I'm waiting for the day when Yoyoka does In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. Hearing her do that drum solo would awesome!

Thank you for keeping beautiful music alive never stop playing….
❤😂🎉🌍🌏🌎🎉😂❤
👍👍👍
I know Ken Okada from his collab with Yoyoka. I think they need bigger venues with Yoyoka on drums.
Still don’t understand Jazz, but I love watching Yoyoka play it😊
So you learn to understand.😊
@@squirrely8418 I'm trying😁
👏👏👏
As usual ... Yoyoka sticks it to the drums and they pay attention to her every instruction
nice 6/8 groove. love the tasty side-sticking. great snare sound! the solo's really good, too - you're playing some crazy "out "rhythms but it's beautifully understated! it's quite brilliant, Yoyoka! you're so mature! lol
Damn... good.
Stunning!
Really slick stuff!
It’s not the kind of jazz where everybody is playing their own song? 😀
Nice !
Obviously a new song(?). I only know 'Sartori in Tangier' by King Crimson.
I'm exited to hear your Jazz drumming again.
Yes! It is our original song. Please stay tuned!
@@yoyoka_soma No question. As sure as 46+2=48🙂
Great to see Yoyoka playing some jazz. Lovely little drum solo too. I'd prefer if their was a little less cymbal during the other solos, but that's about the mixing as much as the playing.
Watch this outfit on San Jose Jazz. A whole set. This group could be such a tight guitar trio ...
WoW!!!😮
¡WOW!
Whose better? I'll wait....
Amazing
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
@@yoyoka_soma そうでしたか。
Reminds me of the film Whiplash (2014)
The first 9 seconds are really good and enjoyable. Then the harmony of the groove gets shattered to pieces. I would like to hear an adaptation of this without the saxophone and without the solos. I think it would work a lot better considering the nature of the song.
I know how important horns are to jazz, but they always drown out the rest of the instruments. I'm trying to groove to the awesome base and drums . It might just be my ears.
I can hear Ginger Baker influence with this one.
Is our favorite drummer reading music or written notes?
Just following where the other musicians are.
Great Jazz music!
However, the drums were way too low in volume(?)
I didnt like the tune so much but the way you and the bass was in the pocket was amazing, even when the others tried to slip away accelerating the tempo midway through the performance you held them back super tight... bravo YOYOKA!!!
🤭 "Promo sm"
😢 no like jazz foryou .
She is a musical genius in the making. She couldn’t play Led Zepp for the rest of her life.
