Interesting new soundscape! Much restraint in the lower register on the drums to let the busy acoustic bass rule. Very adaptive performance with a little candy at the end.
There is so much flavor to experience when listening to unprocessed music.

I listened to their music along with Led Zeppelin , Deep Purple and other rock, classical, etc when I was around your age…check out the Passport album called “ Cross Collateral “ I think you might like it!

Wonderful! Yoyoka-chan giving giant steps (pun intended) in Jazz as well. If she chooses this path, I'll be happy anyway (as a Rock/Metal fan)... she'd become in drums what Hiromi did with the piano, maybe a bit less crazy 😅

nice 6/8 groove. love the tasty side-sticking. great snare sound! the solo's really good, too - you're playing some crazy "out "rhythms but it's beautifully understated! it's quite brilliant, Yoyoka! you're so mature! lol

Great to see Yoyoka playing some jazz. Lovely little drum solo too. I'd prefer if their was a little less cymbal during the other solos, but that's about the mixing as much as the playing.

Reminds me of the film Whiplash (2014)
The first 9 seconds are really good and enjoyable. Then the harmony of the groove gets shattered to pieces. I would like to hear an adaptation of this without the saxophone and without the solos. I think it would work a lot better considering the nature of the song.
I know how important horns are to jazz, but they always drown out the rest of the instruments. I'm trying to groove to the awesome base and drums . It might just be my ears.
I can hear Ginger Baker influence with this one.

I didnt like the tune so much but the way you and the bass was in the pocket was amazing, even when the others tried to slip away accelerating the tempo midway through the performance you held them back super tight... bravo YOYOKA!!!
