I suggest to keep cables and servo installed in street bikes... it makes easy to restore back to stock the bike if needed. Reinstalling cables is a little nightmare with engine in the frame. Cables can be easy trunked under the rh under seat panel, and servo can be simple unplugged from the loom with no dash errors flashing a race-based map via UpMap. PS why you didn't flashed my custom map!? :P
Great recommendations! Yes after taking the cables off and effectively following the the instructions of the Akrapovic Slip on exhaust I questioned why the cables couldn’t just be tucked away neatly and the servo motor connector disconnected as you mentioned. It’s great to have this confirmation that it doesn’t cause any issues just leaving them tucked away. Gabro you know I can’t wait to get your tune on the bike! I’m running the Aprilia Race tune for 2 weeks as a baseline and I’m planning on installing your tune and making a video impression / comparison. Based on all the comments on the Aprilia Forum it’s something I’m very much looking forward to 👍
Nice video, but the stand is pretty awesome. You should do a video on that, if you haven't. I've never seen that before. Doesn't look like you can order it.
Yeah the center stand is great and I love the ability of the stand to fold away for transportation to track days. I got it from here max2h.com/en/ and the German quality is top notch.
Am tryin to order the center stand, unfortunately it is not available at the moment due to them relocating their warehouse…sucks…lol stay safe bro’…thanks :)
I just purchased the exhaust and installing this UpMap when they arrive on my V4 factory 2021. I was wondering as it's hard to tell in a video how much louder is the slip on compared to the stock exhaust? I live in NY where our laws will not let you modify the exhaust from stock without a fine. So most shops say a slip on will pass inspection but, they will not pass if the baffle is removed.
Honestly with the baffle in its very tame. Nonetheless the baffle installation and removal is a quick and easy process with a screw driver so for your inspection intervals should not be an issue. With the baffle out it’s definitely louder than stock similar to what the stock exhaust sounds like at over 5k with the flap open. From my experience the AKRA exhaust is not as loud as the other brands like SC Project or Austin racing, etc. I live in California where it’s also stricter than other states but I cruise around with the baffle out and have no issues with law enforcement in the streets 👍 Good luck
@@conceptanddesigntheory Thanks for the reply. So, from what your saying is the baffle is easy to take out and reinstall then. My last question does it matter on the Up Map if the baffle is in or not?
@@logo8009 yes the baffle is super easy to install and remove. The slip on is definitely louder than the stock exhaust but not too loud or annoying which is exactly what I was looking for. On the baffle my understanding is that no it doesn’t matter to a point of concern rather it more of a concern running an aftermarket exhaust without proper software vs the baffle being put on/off 👍
Do you know if there's a issue disconnecting the the turn signals without the upmap? Like will a check engine light come on? I believe I've seen someone with the rsv4 do it without a issue
I’m going to perform a leak test around the area and make sure it’s 100% sealed. I honestly don’t have this scenario all the time but have noticed it on occasion. The bigger concern for me is the coolant temps as I know a few of the guys on the Aprilia forums have mentioned incorrect mixture % of coolant fill from factory. Mine thankfully hasn’t overheated but I’m getting close to it especially when it’s extremely hot outside with traffic. I’ll be looking into this more in the upcoming weeks.
@@conceptanddesigntheory Hey thx, you’re quick😜! I am buying a brand new Tuono V4 factory black in januari. It’s always useful to some installing parts on a bike with much detail on explication “how to”. I will keep on looking for new vids! Thx Greetings from Belgium.
@@timeeckman2951 yes the black color way is nice and good luck! I’ll definitely keep the videos going as the Tuono V4 platform has been fun to work on 👍
Max2h.com from Germany 🇩🇪 has them. Top notch quality and I love how it can fold down for ease of transport for track days 🤙. Definitely worth the wait getting it shipped from Germany.
Can you describe the idle surge more? Does it bump up 300-400 rpms randomly while idling and stay up or does it go up & down? Happening while cold or hot? Sometimes after a long highway ride I’ll pull off the highway and notice upon a hot engine at the light (stopped) sometimes a 100 rpm increase then decrease which stabilizes with a throttle blip. I figured it’s from my fans turning on from having a high airflow to a stationary situation where the battery voltage fluctuate because of the cooling activation. Other than that no real surge to report from my side 👍
@@conceptanddesigntheory it's going up and down by at least 800 rpm. Like the bike is sputtering out. Happens at around 200 degrees or hotter, glad to hear you aren't having a similar issue though!
Nothing different before/after the turning that I noticed. I still would like to check my coolant mixture as many are reporting this was improperly filled from factory.
Yes I used the 2016-2020 version as availability and pricing was much more favorable. It fits perfectly without any issue. As far as the UpMap I bought it from af1racing.com

Hey Gabro, does the servo even need to be unplugged? I was told your map disengages the servo altogether.
