Such a staggeringly cool car! Here in the UK we absolutely IDOLISE Escorts, especially the old ones. Its a great choice of old car as all the parts are still available as it was such an incredibly popular race car. Great video mate!
Love the look of that engine, it looks stock and sits in the engine bay perfectly! Other than the larger 16 valve heads and larger overall size it could almost be a standard engine. Incredible build!
Totally enjoyed that. I could almost feel the driving experience through the screen. Not quite as old as the Escort but I get a similar experience when I'm in my modified Integra DC2 Type R, especially around the sea of modern cars on the road with all their creature comforts. I love the Escorts of that Era!
been following your channel for the fd2, you're even partly the reason that I have one on the way in a couple of weeks! But man does this escort have character. Great video.
Firstly congratulations on your build - 98% complete - proper suspension overall will iron out all those dings and wobbles. Your friend is a KEEPER - what a fantastic job on the build and overall presentation of the bay is TOPS - The wait since your last vid post was worth whilst and I am looking forward to your next outing! Enjoy the ride
@@FizzyMotors Big LOVE for MST & how they continue to develop both MK1 and 2 platforms - You mentioned your engine is from the Ford Ranger with forged internals - you running standard cams ? Have you dynod the car ? Very responsive all the way through which is solid. I am in the process of installing a 2litre Pinto with a 285deg Piper cam with some engineering done to the head..... Not sure it will be as meaty as your setup but should be good.
@Italanmo yea it has upgraded cams, makes 190hp at the wheels. Unfortunately I don’t know the spec of the cams because the previous mechanic did not tell me…
