I've worn barefoot shoes and sandals for years now. My feet and core balance have greatly improved. I will never go back to the conventional footwear that most people wear. Just the thought of that hurts my feet. Let your feet feel the world you walk on. 👣 ❤ 😎
This is one of the best UA-cam videos I’ve ever seen. You are so knowledgeable. I liked the shoes so much I bought a second pair and I wear them everyday being on my feet a lot at the gym as a trainer and also lifting in them!
I have the exact same shoes and this is the best review by far I have seen on them! I have never been in a gym in my life and don't intend to, but I am a lifelong distance runner and barefoot advocate and appreciated the great advice you gave regarding the transition period for those hoping to make the switch - it takes time and patience (especially when it comes to running!) but it's worth it! Since I moved to barefooting about 6 yrs ago, my times have tumbled...and so have my injuries - i just don't get hurt anymore. Great vid! Subbed!
That’s really great to hear. Thank you and I’m glad you enjoyed the review and the tapering recommendation. Glad they are serving you well as a runner too! And thanks for the sub too :) much appreciated!
I tried to transition too fast last week!! Ruined my knees erg! Hope they recover so can try again; also a distance runner. Working on ankle kvoolity each day
If you jump straight into barefoot shoes (especially running), your calves will be a new kind of sore that will remember for years and start posting on youtube videos in a cautionary manner.
Thanks for the great video! I've watched dozens of reviews on vivos and this is the by far one of the most comprehensive review I've seen. Honestly great job. Seems to me your channel will soon explode! Wishing you luck. Waiting for my pair in the mail, can't wait!!
This video is fucking excellent, so well made and insightful! Appreciate you going into so much detail and the production quality is absolute class. Definitely gonna have to grab myself a pair!
I mean it’s nice to have a company who cares about their impact on nature but there is a line one crosses when it becomes more of a gimmick. Did you buy them because of this reason? Just kidding...you mentioned it about 5 times in your review. 🔨💀🐎
Awesome review. I’m thinking of getting these to strengthen my ankles after running at 250lbs I think strengthening my ankles and arch will help with plantar fasciitis. Also you need to do a video on how to replicate that beard 😂.
As a trainer myself, your review is absolutely stellar and resonates so well. Your honesty and integrity is second to none. I really respected your expectation setting when reviewing the shoes, relating it to the areas your are experienced in and not professing to know how they would work for everyone (i.e specific athletic types. A fantastic insight into barefoot training. Keep these fantastic videos coming sir!
The Reebok Nanos really cram my toes. I hate them. I am hoping a barefoot shoe will work for weightlifting but wonder if my arches are strong enough until I get used to the barefoot shoes.
I have a super wide foot and am wondering if the Vivobarefoot would be wide enough. I just received some SoftStar Primal shoes and they are awesome. Super for extra wide feet.
I shall bare that in mind. The inclusion of their marketing was not to act as if it was my own opinion but to provide the audience with the information that the company “wants” them to know about to give background to the shoe before i talked about what I thought about it. Thanks
I tried some today, but couldn't find the right size for me. either too small or too big How much spare space do you have for your toes? I wish they did half sizes 😅
Honestly, I don't know. I still own/use these bio PL2s and haven't thought to get new ones yet. The website doesn't seem to show the PL2s anymore so can't compare descriptions either. I would assume it's likely to do with improved material choices to improve design/sustainability possibly but I don't know for sure. Sorry.
@@DavidCLancaster Dave, honesty is top notch, thank you for your reply. Wrote to Vivo, they told me its just material updates. So apparently it is just that. I wonder if the last is different.
@@DavidCLancaster Dave, wrote to Vivo. They said PL2 vs PL3 is just material updates. Seems the most difference is with the PL1 version. I wonder if there is a change in the last and fit between versions.
The website recommended I go down half a size from what I wear in Reebok nanos and new balance fresh foams and I found that recommendation to be comfortable and adequate. Haven’t tried my regular size for comparison though. Hope that helps. 😊
Thanks I guess. If it helps, neurological research has shown that intelligence is less correlated with brain size and more correlated with neuron density/population in the frontal cortex 😜

Great review
I’ve been looking at these shoes for ages. Really interesting and helpful advice 👌🏼
Hannah Brown glad you found it useful :) I really like them but they’re obviously not for everyone.
I had to take the insole out to get these to fit!!
in happiness david 😊💕💕

Wud u ever consider lightening ur awesome mane? U’d give some sick Thor vibes.
Haha thanks! But no, I hadn’t ever really thought about doing that haha! I should give it some thought.
They are on 40% sale right now

Too much marketing lessens thrustworthiness

I’ve just switched from the Nano 8 to this shoe this month. Thank you for the thorough review and enjoying Vivobarefoot too. 👍
Do you have a recomendation for sizing?

Unfortunately this exact model is rarely in stock.
I wasn’t aware of that. Must have been well-timed when I got mine. Hopefully they will become more readily available.
You sound really smart for someone with such a small head.
